It was at the time when they were filming the final scene in "Objects in Space" back in the series (the part where they used one continuous shot to pan over the infirmary, over to the common area and finally over to the cargo bay where Kaylee and River are playing jacks.) Summer had one line ("I can win this.") and after one seemingly-perfect continuous shot leading up to her line, she forgets it and they had to do the WHOLE thing all over again, which lead to Nathan yelling way across from the common area and over to the cargo bay "SUMMER!!!" after listening close by. =D If you're a Firefly fan/Browncoat, I highly highly recommend getting the Firefly Companion Guides. It has all these interviews and backstories told by the cast and crew talking about the script, filming and all the inside jokes. One of my best friends bought them for me and after reading them made me love the show even more. =) Here's another fun fact about Firefly : Sometime after they got the call that they were cancelled, each of the cast and crew were permitted to take something/anything from the set to keep. Alan Tudyk (Wash) decided to take the Red Button that was seen in the episode "Out of Gas" (That button was only held on by a gummy adhesive very much like blue-tac). In that episode, when Mal instructs the crew to board the two shuttles, Wash preps a way for Mal to be able to call back both shuttles by programming the Red Button to be able to send a signal to the two shuttles. Wash then tells Mal "When your miracle gets here, just pound this button once and it'll call back both shuttles." While Joss Whedon was still hoping for a continuation for the show, Alan mailed Joss the Button in a package with a note quoting his line and with the package, a note read (and I'm paraphrasing here) "When your miracle gets here, pound this button once to call us back." Good guy Alan hahaha =D
Grace Dupre No problem! =D some of what the cast and crew say in the comments section in the guides are pretty hilarious and it makes you see how they actually see each other not just as fellow actors but as family members too coz of how great they all got along
"TRAAAAAP!" lol they need to add that into Star Wars. "It's a... TRAAAAAAP!"
I want to know the story behind yelling "SUMMER!" when they flub!
Apparently, Summer Glau messed up quite a bit so it became a joke to blame her for whenever anyone else screwed up their lines.
Jennifer Green That is both awful and adorable.
