2 tablespoons of unsulphured organic blackstrap molasses has almost 100 mg of magnesium. That also gives over 700mg of potassium, 6mg of iron and 220mg of calcium. I feel that the super sticky nature of molasses helps the body better absorb all these minerals.

Thanks to the knowledge gained by Dr Elbert I was able to break my addiction to carbs and loose 30 lbs. (going on 3 years ) Here’s the dilemma I face for myself. Cattle raising for the production of food creates extreme amounts methane gas emitted into the environment. Pasture raised beef requires elimination of forests to make room for the pastures. So although beef is an excellent source of nutrients, it has a negative effect on the environment. Fish, chicken, pork, lamb are also problematic when mass produced for consumption. As I study environmental issues I find myself turned off by meat consumption.

Doesn’t bother my gut (I believe rye and buckwheat are good for the gut). Considering where you come from, I’m always surprised you don’t ever talk about rye bread or WASA bread (flat bread).
Thank you. Your videos are so informative and helpful.
okay, Dr. eckberg, Im starting to feel like you can read my mind...each Friday, you provide (me), with the exact health education im looking fir. you must be a mind reading....my mind reader...😀 thank you fir all your teachings sending a big e-hug of appreciation.❤
Great vid as ever, Doc. Can you please do something for us on berberine? I’d like to try it but I want the lowdown from you first. Thanks!
2 tablespoons of unsulphured organic blackstrap molasses has almost 100 mg of magnesium. That also gives over 700mg of potassium, 6mg of iron and 220mg of calcium. I feel that the super sticky nature of molasses helps the body better absorb all these minerals.
Molasses are fantastic, I sweeten my 1 pint of raw Jersey milk coffee in the morning, never hungry until late afternoon.
The only problem with molasses that it's a "non-heme" iron source (meaning vegetarian). The body absorbs non-heme iron very poorly.
74% carbohydrates... yea, that would do it...
I'm a plant based diet person. Meat and fish ect is not the problem. Its the processed and ultra processed "foods" that's the problem. Also foods that contains: pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and antibiotics ect. I have to be careful about what I eat as a person on a plant based diet. That's why I will do my best to get my own garden or a farm.
Sometimes I watch Dr. Ekberg primarily to have his thoughtful cadence put my mind into a reflective state.
The information is a nice bonus!
Wow…. I love this kind of lesson. Thank you 😊.

Thank you @rogerp6903. I really appreciate your feedback and so glad that you liked it. The purpose of my channel is to explain the principles and mechanisms of health in such a way that you start gaining an understanding and respect for the miracle that is the human body. I spend so much time on it because when we get "the why" and start owning the mechanisms we become empowered for life . Comments like yours makes it all worthwhile. 😄
Yes it does, it does mean I should not plague myself eating leafy greens, thank you.

beans lentils and eggs milk
Very informative thank you Dr Ekberg .
I think you should include pure raw cocoa mass in your chocolate category. I eat it every day now and it isn't even nearly as bitter as you would expect from 85% chocolate bars. Thank you Dr. Ekberg, I might try out that nutty yoghurt at some point. Sounds interesting.
😃
I eat bakers chocolate on a regular basis. I am a low carber.
@@man_at_the_end_of_time Tried your cocoa in a stew with lentils and tomatoes yet? I found that to be really tasty! It was inspired from the super veggie recipe from Bryan Johnson and is just modified a little bit. Although cocoa dominates the taste over the herbs in there, and added lime juice seemed to play an important part for that matter.
Salmon and beans are high in magnesium as well
Pozdrawiam😁
Thank you- always great discussions
Very informative, as usual. Thank you!
Believe me, I don't care, I could care less
Pumpkin seed/Magnesium Amount 262 mg per 100 g

Hi doctor, I love your videos. Currently attempting my first 48hr fast.
I wanted to request a video about fasting during the different stages of the hormone cycle for women please. Can we fast at any point without adversely affecting our hormonal cycle? The info online is not very detailed.
Thank you!
Thank you Dr Sten ✌🏻🇬🇧🏴
Another Brilliant presentation!
Always appreciated ☺️👍🏻
Thanks to the knowledge gained by Dr Elbert I was able to break my addiction to carbs and loose 30 lbs. (going on 3 years )
Here’s the dilemma I face for myself.
It's incredible that we prefer to increase by 80 million a year (rather than control births) and say that producing food pollutes.
Dear Leslie, you are delusional.
@@pamelawoodall5891 that is not very nice Pamela. If you read my post I was expressing how it is for me. I’m not telling anyone what they should do. Also, I did not make up the info I shared.
Use magnesium gel on the skin. It absorbs 5 times better through the skin than through the stomach
Magnesium citrate is the best for absorption orally, magnesium oxide is useless as only 1% can be absorbed orally.
Dziekuje Bardzo Dr. Za Cenne Iformacje Uklony i Szacunek za Skarbnice Wiedze Pozdrawiam Serdecznie❤
Good stuff Doc.!
Thanks for such an informative video Dr. Ekberg! I had no idea just how difficult it is to get enough absorbable magnesium in your food. I am so grateful that you go into so much detail! I always think of you as one of my doctors, and definitely as a mentor! Hope you have a great Friday!
