    2. Eat less (sustainable - eat unprocessed)
    3. Exercise (aerobic)

@@spongebobsquaretits well my intentions weren’t to shorten or summarize the video, they were to highlight the key points he goes over. Those are the 6 things he says you should do every day to lose weight.
      1. IF allows more time for your body to be into the fat burning stage versus storing fat.
      2. Eating whole foods (real food) and not processed food will result in eating less -> minimizes hunger.
      3. Exercise to get your heart rate up. The quicker you get your heart rate up then the less duration needed to work out. Aerobic exercises are what he recommends.
4 & 5. These are pretty self explanatory but meditation can reduce negative emotions such as stress, which leads to eating better & losing weight.
      6. Even if you don’t exercise, move around to create signals to send to the brain.

I cut them out and adjusted my exercise program. 5lbs to go and then we'll see if my blood work agrees with my fantastic results. ❤

@@drekberg Hello Doctor Ekberg, hope you're doing well.
Would you be able to send me a link of a video that explains this question? Or explain it here please.
I've lost 44 kg with these great contents. And now I'm focusing on body composition instead of losing weight.
What I never understood is that if I go for one meal a day, I have to intake 100 gr protein or more in just one meal.
And we know that our body cannot absorb more than 25-30 gr of protein in one meal; and turns it into fat.
So if I consume all my protein in just one meal, my body would absorb just 25 gr protein a day that is extremely low.
I did one meal a day during my 45-kg weight loss process and I confirm that I lost 22 kg muscle during this process.
So based on what I know, I believe that shorter period of eating is good for obese people, but for everyone, especially for those who have BMI lower than 25 and those who want to make muscle.

After watching the vids every now and then without acting upon them, I've recently started small by just going low-carb on one, sometimes two of my three regular meals. I also cut out the snacks/sweet drinks as much as I could and opted for lemon water and unsweetened teas.
I've lost like 2.5 Kilos in two weeks, but I suspect that's just the initial loss of stored water due to glycogen stores being depleted?
Still it's motivating to see any kind of result, it shows that you can be in control of it. I was stuck at my weight for so long I kinda gave up, thinking I can't do anything about it anyway.

I quit smoking and then started to drink more. I realised I had a drink issue so I quit drinking too. I had a major health scare last year and had to have a major operation. It made me realise how important my health is and well being. Now I don’t eat any processed foods I’m cutting sugar out and am focusing on strength training. I am a different person. I’m also approaching 50 year old. I feel it is never to late to improve yourself and make changes. My goal is to keep active till I’m in my later years that to me is success in life. You're right, it is never too late to start. There are people here in these comments in their 70's who are fit and well thanks to Dr. Sten. I'm new to IF but am determined to do it to lose weight and get fitter. I need to lose about 2 stone. I am never hungry until about 3-4pm so it should be easy for me and I am trying to walk for an hour a day. So glad I found this guy.

I've worked with a lot of healthcare professionals, fitness experts, doctors, and spiritual teachers over the years. I could tell almost immediately that Dr. Ekberg has an in-depth understanding of health and the human body. Almost as important as his understanding is his ability to communicate that information to us, the general public, in a very clear and concise way. He's really doing a great service by putting this information forward.

I want to thank you again for these incredibly useful videos. I've watched and re-watched quite a few of them. With work, travel, socializing, celebrations... I sometimes get off track and then when I come back to your channel, it helps me press the reset button. I'm in pretty great shape at 60, often being mistaken for 20 years younger but I know that's not from luck, rather it's from being as vigilant as possible with my life habits. I slip up now and again but get right back on the horse! I live by the 80/20 principle which works for me, but I know it might not work for others.

I am open to anyone who can explain this. I've asked this question hundreds of times, but no real answer.

Love strict keto. As a compulsive overeater by nature, all sugar is addictive for me. Eating no-to-low carbs I’m now at my goal weight. I am rarely “hungry” eating quality high fat. I don’t exercise a lot; Pilates session (half hour) a few x a week, and very fast short duration aerobics a few x week also. Now that it’s autumn it’s getting cool enough to go out walking here in Las Vegas, NV. Mostly, I’m just thrilled to look good in my skinny jeans again. And I feel great; my energy is high and steady. Daily meditation is also essential for me. Keto + meditation = a good life, full of peace and joy. Thanks Dr.Ekberg for your wonderful teachings. My cardiologist recommended I start intermittent fasting to deal with some metabolic issues (I thought I had heart issues but he diagnosed it as all metabolic/diabetes related, not the heart). It was weird at first but it really only took two weeks before my body flipped over and started to consider it as natural. This seems to be much more sustainable to me than other methods, I can't get down to one meal a day but I think I can do this 16:8 permanently. Am currently slowly and steadily losing weight and not going backwards. Next step, get back on my walking program.
My biggest error in the past was always going all in on one thing, mega exercise but garbage diet, dieting but not exercising.

I was surprised to find out my "belly fat" was diastasis recti. I've always been super skinny, very active and had mostly a vegetarian diet. After having 4 children, within a span of 9 years, I started to pick up weight by never overweight. The one thing I could never get rid of was my belly. It made me look pregnant for years after giving birth to my last child. Everyone told me to change what I eat and to exercise but I only saw a small change. I made a joke one day about the size of my stomach during a routine medical appointment and my doctor told "Oh! You can easily get rid of that belly. Just do exercises for diastasis recti.". I had never heard of this before and thought he was joking. But after researching he was right and I found out you can't do regular core exercises because it can make the condition worse. Sorry for the long story but I wanted to point out that not all large bellies come from fat alone.

@@m0ther0ne Sorry, IF is intermittent fasting. This means you try to eat zero snacks between meals and you push maybe two meals together so you have a large gap. I tend to do over 18 hours between last meal and the first meal. I worked my way up to this. I tend to eat first meal of the day after 3PM and last is finished before 7PM. So Im fasting from 7PM to 3PM the next day with no snacks. That is 20 hours. It sounds hard but it is possible. This is sometimes called 2MAD (two meals a day). Keto means eat lowest possible carbs and no sugar. Green veggies I do not count. Often I get 10g of carbs but never higher than 30g per day. Combining the two is sometimes called Keto/IF. Hope that helps a little. Watch about 20+ videos and you will be well informed LOL
