My mom is 79 and she is one of those anomalies and I’m the opposite. I’ve got it all diabetes; uterine cancer, MS…I’m a mess. But, since I quit sugar, carbs, and started fasting my health has changed tremendously. I’m off Metformin, my A1c went from 6.7 to 5.5, my gallbladder is free of sludge, my fatty liver is improving, my HDL went from 34 to 51. All of this since April when a friend shared one of Dr Sten’s videos with me.
I was diagnosed with Diabetes II in 05/2020 and was removed from the list by DR in 2021. I believe it was caused by eating smoothies everyday. I did add honey to my smoothie. Got rid of diabetes by changed my diet from white rice to Salmon, meat, and all kind of veggies. No sugar added to my food but still enjoying some desert every now and then.
I have a good friend with bad type 2. He sufferers immensely with complications from it. I can’t wrap my head around why he just doesn’t make changes to alleviate his misery. I mentioned to him he should satiate himself with more meat, chicken and fish, but he told me he hated fish, didn’t care for steak at all, and that chicken, unless fried, was tasteless and that he couldn’t eat more than one piece a day. There’s always an excuse so I’ve since backed off and have learned to just keep my mouth shut. He also said the best thing about a cheeseburger is the bun??? I think his taste buds are out of whack.
@@rjo8500 come on listen to your friend too! There are many options outside of meat, fish. E.g. veggie options. Don't pretend that meat is needed to resolve diabetes. Lower carbs is important by eating more veggies, fresh fruits instead of juices, quit soda drinks, reduce sugar, white rice etc. Amyway, it is probably better to send them /to a dietician rather than us giving half baked advice lol.
I am a retired MD and always feel that is a learning experience when watching Dr. Ekberg's videos. His presentations are always clear and concise about the subject that is covered. Thank you Dr. Ekberg!
Yeah indeed, but eating healthy and living healthy requires a balance in finances and mental health too, I try to balance it out by learning more about the financial space and investing.
Honestly this cannot be overemphasized, balancing health and finances is something that isn't talked about much, helping people mitigate unforseen circumstances and mistakes in their finances as well as health that's why I watch Dr sten and hire aid in my investments too. Equilibrium 😁
Indeed while keeping healthy, You need to get a financial planner or expert on investments to aid diversify your portfolio to commodities index funds, digital assets etc, to provide illumination and guidance in the financial markets.
So true, I try to stay off beers and alcohol and live healthy but when I remember my bills and finances I get slightly depressed, that balance is important. I've lost a lot trying to invest too
I do not encourage independent trading because I feel the market fluctuations can be very unpredictable. Shoutout to all the reputable experts out there who have sacrificed a lot to master the market.
I started watching Eckberg I believe in March of 2023. At the end of March I weighed 216. Today Sept '23 I am down to 178 and still losing albeit very slowly and steadily. Avoiding bad foods is essential. And our grocery stores are 90% junk food.
That's almost exactly the same amount of time that my husband and I have been watching and he has lost the same amount as you. Currently he hovers at 169/170. Going low carb/very low sugar has been a life-changing experience for both of us. All thanks to Dr. Ekberg!
I can also relate. Started in June 28th, 2023. From 229lbs to 195lbs as of Tuesday this week. Stopped all sugars first 4 weeks and introduced IF the 5th weeks. My goal is 180-185lbs as I'm almost 6" tall. Great content. More people need to hear about this...
I made up my mind to start eating healthier today. I will start eating foods that come from plants. I will start eating chicken, rice, and beans and eventually I will add vegetables and some fruits. I used to be so determined to stay healthy all my life, but 5 years ago I started slacking off. Coming across this video has giving me the motivation to start again, because I want to live a longer life to see my grandchildren graduate college. Thank you very much for your time to do this video. I’m not to far away from my ideal weight so I will start today. No excuses!
Thank you so much for your wisdom and time. Your videos have literally CHANGED MY LIFE. I am having friends and family puzzled as to how I have gone from being fat and round, swollen and unfit, to slim, muscular, running 3 times a week, and eating a high fat diet. They ask me how? I explain, and guess what, it goes in one ear and out the other, they make excuses to themselves why it won’t work for them. What they fail to understand is that I was once like that in that mindset, all it took was humility, and determination to change. Thank you 🙏
Yeah, I’ve lost a lot of weight and feel a lot better now, too. When people ask about it, as soon as I tell them that French fries and ice cream are bad for them - WHOOSH - they’re gone.
@@richardpetty9159 yeah it’s hilarious. The even funnier thing is, once your fat adapted, and your metabolic machinery is working properly, you CAN have the odd coke, chocolate bar and naughty thing. Over the weekend holidays I had a whole weekend off just eating party food (not overindulging) and the amount of flack I got for being a hippocrite “what about your diet” one family member said, “ahh knew you couldn’t stick to it” my response was why don’t you actually try to watch the videos I have been sending, and understand how your body works on a metabolic level. 😀 there is nothing wrong with these things, what is wrong is constant consumption of sugar, carbs, and starches and not only consuming but OVER CONSUMPTION as your body is broken on a metabolic level. All the time
I used to eat SO much sugar and danishes for years. I never had any weight gain, and I never had diabetes. But now I have fatty liver issues. Since have chosen to use honey as a sweetener, and I am very strict about what I eat. Thank you Doctor
Couple of years ago, we went camping as a large group of friends. Everyone brought food, we had a barbeque, lots of side dishes etc. and of course a ton of booze. By late night everyone was drunk, and barely made to their tents, no none could think of cleaning around, especially all the leftover food. By morning, we woke up to see our camp site have been visited by the wildlife around us. They ate, tore apart everything, even the whole unpeeled onions were eaten. The only thing that none of the animals touched was a 0.5kg pack of margarine someone brought. Not even a teeth mark on it, nothing. They tore through closed tupperware to get inside, but not the pack of margarine. That's the day I understood margarine is not food and never touched the stuff again.
When you mentioned everyone was drunk, I thought you would talk about alcohol being harmful to health, to the point where you did not collect the rest of the food Alcohol is more harmful to health than sugar and preservatives in food and all that the doctor mentioned, even hydrogenated fats and vegetable shortening. But it seems that alcoholic drinks do not affect anyone, even though you know that they are the worst for health
Old school food is better less chemicals My parents lived to 98 and 97 died 10 days apart Rice beans and cactus was their staple food Today McDonalds jack in the box and Burger King replaced that
Dr Ekberg changed my life. For me, it’s not about living longer, it’s about living in a way that makes me feel better. Chronic ailments are awful. I guess, at the age of 64, after years of eating badly, my body said “no more.” After just 1 month of applying intermittent fasting and following these food guidelines my health improved drastically. Now, 4 months since I started, I am committed to this way for the rest of my life. I’ve consciously watched my intake and lost 23 pounds, too. 👍 Also, the Eulyte powder is fantastic. I love the subscription program. I just got my 2nd shipment. Happy dance 💃!
I have replaced wheat flour with spelt flour. Spelt is a type of grain that, like wheat, belongs to the grass family, but has a lower gluten content. Spelt is also rich in fibre, minerals and vitamins, which makes it a real alternative to wheat. It is slightly more expensive but much healthier.
Dr. Ekberg, you have a genuine talent for explaining things. The biochemistry of metabolism is extraordinarily complex at the molecular level and without a talented , knowledgeable, and sincere guide to help us understand the important points of this complexity,, such as yourself, many of us would simply follow what our allopathic doctors tell us even though their advice is all too often not in our best interest. Your pace is perfect, your tone is engaging, and your sincerity is very much appreciated. One thing I'd like to mention that I have learned in my own experience is that, in giving up calorie-dense food and consuming nutrient-dense food, for about 1 year now, I no longer use reading glasses which I had been using since my early 40's... I am currently 73 years old. Thank you so much for your efforts to help people help themselves... that is very noble!
Great reply. Do you mind giving examples of calorie-dense diets and nutrient-dense diets? Reading glasses are becoming necessary for me, and I find it difficult. I'd appreciate any tips you could provide. Thanks
Thanks Dr for inducing me into LCHF since 02 January. I have lost my superfluous weight, about 13 kg over 3 months and stabilised now. But my insulin is below 2 and some DRS are saying that it is not good because of its mutifunctionality. A podcast on this would be most welcome for your audience. Thanks in advance.
Do those same doctors believe in a holistic approach to health or, do they believe in Big Pharma and treating symptoms? Their perspective will drive their line of thinking.
Another important problem with wheat is the current practice of dessicating the crop at the end of the growing season using glyphosate (Roundup). The wheat is then harvested still containing considerable residues of glyphosate...
You can control this at home by using organic ingredients. This is the BIG point about the problem of eating fast food or eating food prepared in restaurants. They go for the cheapest ingredients.
Wow, this video is a game-changer! 🌟 Your detailed breakdown of harmful foods and their impact on our health is incredibly enlightening. I appreciate how you explain complex topics in a way that's easy to understand. Your passion for promoting a healthier lifestyle truly shines through. Keep up the amazing work, Health Champion! 💪🍎
Thank you Dr. Ekberg ! You are not only introduce the knowledge of health, but also gives the concept of healthy lifestyle. I have learnt a lot from you! 😍
Dr. Ekberg, I know many intelligent people, but very few of them can communicate their knowledge as well as you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, you are an excellent teacher!
Been following you to the letter Dr. Sten since Feb 2020 as I wanted the best chance during covid,so I thank you for imparting your wealth of knowledge to us all via UT. You've changed lots of lives.. 😊♥️🏴
I loved the comment about cereal and kids. My boys used to accuse me of NOT loving them because I wouldn’t buy that garbage. So, I came up with a better idea. I told them they could pick out any cereal they wanted, as long as sugar was not among the first 5 ingredients. They’d study the ingredient lists every time we went grocery shopping and stopped complaining. Luckily they love eggs in any form.
Always a pleasure to watch/listen to your videos. Love your perspective and knowledge base. If I would have listened to my medical doctor I would be dead by now. When my uncle died from type 2 diabetis, he was taking so much insulin that all his systems were sustaining damage, he could not lose weight, and his immune system was very ineffective. I had tried to explain to him that you cannot treat type 2 with insulin like type 1. I gave him a book from Jason Fung. His doctor mocked me. He continued his current treatment and died believing hid doctors were right. His doctors were not evil, but they were ignorant and followed the "Standard of Care" model of pharmacy and glucose control above all else. Glad to say that is changing through your efforts and a community of many other professionals.
You are so brilliant Dr Sten. I can't stop listening to you and every time you post a new video I'm excited to learn more from you. Dark blue definitely is the colour that complements you best... ❤ Don't bother yourself with critics and negative talk. The rest of us all know who you are... I believe every word you say. You are the embodiment of honesty.
Very clear lecturer, confident in the topic subject areas. Speaks at a respectable pace for the listener, I heard no conflict in his explanations. Thank you
I’m 32 and been eating fast food at least 5 times a week for the past decade. Started gaining weight, which was never the case. About to start doing keto.
I am 65, mostly carnivore, very active and feel great! Thanks to Dr. Ekberg and others for great teaching. One question regarding fried foods: you did not mention frying in a healthy oil such as beef tallow.
Hello Dr Sten Ekberg I just wanted to thank you. You have changed my life. My relationship with food has always been a challenge and for the majority of my life I've strived for a healthy diet and sadly I fell into alot of the weightloss traps you often discuss in your videos. I eat very well now. I don't count calories I just keep my sugar intake to a minimum and eat a good amount of protein and I eat healthy fats. You introduced me to Intermittent fasting which I never even considered when I was younger but after trying it for a few weeks I could see not only from my initial weight loss success but my body shape I won't lie to you I've always been very self conscious oh my body and certain parts I've always been ashamed of but thx to you and your advice I have gained a level of confidence I've never known ever. Sorry for the long message I just want you to know you are appreciated for everything you do. Thanks for giving me a truly healthy lifestyle and a completely change in quality of life. 💪💪💪
Hey Doc, any chance of making a video directed to children and healthy eating habits? In today's world its very hard to keep kids away from all the junk. It would be nice to show them why we avoid those types of food etc. Love your work. Thanks!
I've the same problem. They throw paw patrol pictures on everything that's addictive and worthless, almost like the food industry wants to suck them into poor diets early.
@@kylemiller1574I see your point but isn't this "victim" thinking? we have to guide our children at home, by serving healthy meals and showing them how to choose healthy. but going food shopping with a parent isn't done as much anymore. I hardly ever see a parent with a child over 4 at the supermarket together. I witnessed a teenager arguing with a cashier that her bag of grapes was $1.99, not understanding it was $1.99 per pound, which shows no one ever took her food shopping.
Children should be indoctrinated by their parents, who should not leave it up strangers on video to do it, while the parents are glued to their phones. Parents should, also, have their children join them while food shopping, to expose them to the different Whole Foods. Visiting a local farm and getting food from the source is a good way to educate your children.
I am 60, is my diet healthy ?, i think so, this is it - Breakfast :- Peanut butter (pure 100% peanuts ) and Jam on 4 slices of brown bread and coffee,. Lunch mainly houmous with sardines or Tuna and coffee and dinner is always Stew made by me ( meat mainly pork or lamb , with a range of veg ( spinach, parsnip, carrot, broccoli, turnip , mushroom, onion, corn, butternut squash sweet potatoes, potatoes ) I eat stew because you are eating all the vitamins and minerals released by the cooked foods i very rarely buy processed foods.
Very educational video 😊 Thank you!❤ Trying to get my son to stop using margarine and vegetable oils for years. I shared this with him and my daughter in law, I think I'll send it to my teen grandkids from then 😊
Proverbs 1:29-33 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: 30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. 31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. 32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
Great vid Sten! I’m guessing you know that we need to share these facts over and over again in order to understand and incorporate them into our diet and lifestyle. Thank you so very much for discussing all of this elements from so many different angles!❤

Great video again! I watched many of Dr. Ekbergs similar videos, and I always watch the new ones as well, can't get bored with it. I think the scientific parts are also inetresting, because it is good to see the reasons behind the facts. Very good explanation, in a simple way, but thoroughly detailed.
Love listening to dr sten ekborg. He’s one of the few people I listen to on the. Internet. Followed his Advice gave up by 80% my sugar and bread intake. Not only hav I lost weight but my high BP has reduced by about 20 points. I could not believe it. I’m feeling more calm and rested as well. Thanks a million Dr Ekborg you’re the best of the lot. A devoted fan
I'm relatively new to your channel but am enjoying it immensely and learning a lot. Although I don't understand the chemistry side very well, I understand the concepts and will continue to absorb what you can teach me. Thank you so much for your presentations. I am beginning to adjust my diet accordingly, so I will be able to hopefully live a healthier life. This presentation in particular, has been extremely helpful and educational. Thanks again, you're a world class hero that might be albeit unsung, but nevertheless, a hero to those that you help.
Doctor Sten your vlogs on health issues are very informative & interesting, appreciate your time spent on such detailed educational researched vlogs👍. Canada 🇨🇦
I've been trying to get off sugar all my life---(78 now). I've cut back to just one sweet thing, but it has a lot of sugar in it. (gave up soda pop, candy, chocolate, gum, margarine, fried foods, etc. years ago), but sugar is more addictive than anything! Also, I just found out the inexpensive salt we bought has Dextrose in it! I know that -ose usually means sugar. Who puts sugar in salt? Someone who wants you to buy it again! THANK you for such GOOD ADVICE, Sten.
I hear you. I make my own tasty paste. I take powdered peanut butter powdered butter organic off Amazon I add organic cinnamon assuming all the labeling is correct powder Cocoa and cocao powder I combine both but mostly cocao. And cinnamon powder and water and I make a paste and it just tastes good to take a couple big tablespoons from time to time. You can even add in some turmeric and black pepper and I also add in some protein powder. it taste really good. And some powdered prebiotic. Who knows? it satisfies my sweet tooth. Take care.
Longer than what? My dad is 87, decent health but definitely on the decline. Heart attack at 54. Never been in terrific shape. Diet, the very typical north american, including all the foods listed here. Most of my relatives, the same, living to late 80s, some into mid nineties. So when 'live longer' is mentioned, I always say how much longer?? I am nearing 62, DO choose better foods, and get regular exercise much much more than my relatives. I expect that I should make it to mid 80s for sure. I choose better food and exercise, not to live longer, but to live better. I do try to cut down on many of the items listed, but 'never' is not a practical choice, in my opinion. I am also not going to go hungry (fasting) just to add a few years total. The main goal is zero 'meds', not too worried about the actual age, I go. - Cheers
Thanks for this. Dr Ekberg's video highlights how unfair consumers are treated: picked up groceries this morning and purposefully looked for yogurt I could eat, despite low expectations. Everything was high sugar or zero fat or plant-based frankenfood. How can anyone win unless they receive some coaching, guidance, and advice such as from Dr Ekberg? I have two friends suffering metabolic syndrome and all I can do is forward them this YT channel and provide some simple suggestions to follow. Shaking my head...
@revview5594 Greek or Turkish yoghurt with 10% fat, and natural is wahat I eat. But I'm not sugar free. I add bilberries and raspberries to the yoghurt. And they have about 8% sugar. I think berries has a lot of good stuff for a reasonable amount of sugar. Better than fruit have.
@@larsnystrom6698 Sounds great! I gave up on finding edible yogurt at my main go-to stores. Just commenting how hopeless it is for the average consumer.
Thank you @revview5594. I have recently started making my own yogurt and am amazed at how easy it is. 2 quarts organic half and half (11.5%)fat, 3 Tbsp. of inulin and your choice of good bacteria. push the button and wait 36-40 hours. The long fermentation eats up almost all the sugar from what I understand. Super creamy and delicious. 😄
I believe sugar is a drug. I think there are studies that show it effects the brain in a similar way. Never done coc but I get it. If I had ice cream in the house, I would eat the WHOLE container. all of it, just like I couldn't control my self- kept going back for more. thank God I'm a recovered "addict" I am eating to have the best health now .
@@kathybost1879"couldn't control myself" bit comes from the fact that our bodies have measures to curb the intake of fat and protein... but we don't have such "emergency valve" for carbs.. 🤔🤷♂️ therefore you could keep consuming carbs/sugars for way too long than necessary or safe for your body... 😮 it's difficult to overeat protein or especially fat, but it's easy to do that with sweet things.. that is a evolutionary development which was very beneficial thousands of years ago, but today it is hindering our health, sadly 😔☹️
@@ModernGentlemancaffeine what? 🤔 you couldn't be more terse even if you tried.. 😲 what a mysterious thought has emerged in your head? what message did you try to convey? 🤔
I have "Old Fashioned Oats" for breakfast every day, 1/3 cup with water. Once cooked I mix with blueberries, black berries, apple, strawberries or whatever I have on any given morning. I also have toast with jam and two hard boiled eggs. Should I cut out the oatmeal? Also, is there any wheat that is good if Modern wheat is bad?
Yep I'm always explaining to people who "don't eat sugar" that amy grain you eat is sugar. I cant remember exactly who, but I once heard a doctor say "you can eat a bowl of corn flakes with no sugar, or a bowl of sugar with no corn flakes. Below the neck, metabolically, they are identical."
Well, actually, sugar is one molecule glucose and one molecule fructose. So, the "pure" corn flakes would be 100% glucose without fructose and pure sugar would be 50% glucose and 50% fructose. Fructose IS metabolically more detrimental to the liver and has a terrible impact on insulin resistance. Thus, metabolically they are absolutely not identical...
Exactly! But it's so tiring! Nowadays many people know that "sugar" (they picture just white sugar) is bad but still think that a lot of other thinks like cereals, breads and wheat flour are perfectly fine. It's really hard work to explain that in the end for you body they are similar to sugar and bad too.
My friend is proud that he only drinks sugar free soda and ginger ale. I see how hard it is to get people to understand new information. I get it. It hurts me that my beloved raw cashews are carb bombs. They were my go-to nuts.
The most processed food my grandparents ate was liverwurst and dry creamer in their coffee and the occasional coffee cake. My other grandparents had more troubles. One had a hiatus hernia and limited food choices. The other had psoriasis due to daily schnapps drinking. Yes they all lasted into their mud 80’s.
Love the content. One thing about blue zones: It's a myth that they eat mostly plant based. Every time I write with or hear someone talk that is actually from a blue zone, they tell me that the people that defined the blue zones decided they eat mostly plant based without even asking the people or really looking at the facts and that they actually eat a lot of meat. It's just another way of pushing the plant based agenda on clueless people. There was a huge, recent study called "Total Meat Intake is Associated with Life Expectancy: A Cross-Sectional Data Analysis of 175 Contemporary Populations" which compared a whopping 175 populations worldwide and found clear evidence that the higher the meat intake, the higher the life expectancy on average, even within same wage groups.
AHAHAHAHA people that want to criticize something but sadly can't find faults in the facts attack the language. Time and time again. So. Lame. @@pamelawoodall5891
I found that to be true with Greeks, who now eat quite a bit of meat. Their gyros have a ton of meat in them, and they have meat in their entrees most of the time. Historically the poorer people wouldn't eat nearly the amount of meat that Greek people eat today. But they always ate lots of fish.
Great to hear it holds true even with a population I've sadly not had much contact with. I've only ever heard about the beauty of Hawaii and the friendliness of the locals.@@foxyauragems6146
Soda - I once worked with a guy who drank a 2 liter bottle of Mountain Dew every day. He was obese, and said he couldn’t figure out what he needed to do. I suggested he cut back on the soda. His reply was, “I don’t drink a lot of soda.” When I asked him if he thought a 2 liter a day was a lot, his answer was, “No, do you think that’s a lot?”
Thanks for the first part. I'm plant based, my parents aren't. But they only eat game and other animals, that were not a part of intensive farming + they only eat meat once or twice a month. My father switched to this diet after he was diagnosed with heart disease and diabetes. We eat processed food only when out at a gathering etc.. we also use a lot of wild food (foraging is amazing) and well, at 74 my father is healthier than he was at 50. Sugar and processed foods are the real killers. And farmed meat is always packed with hormones, antibiotics and other things that only harm our bodies. Even bio or eco farming ... if you eat meat, the way to go is something that wasn't farmed, wasn't forced fed with a bunch of nasty stuff (just think about winter and what would a cow/pig/sherp normally eat in winter and compare that to what she actually eats because of farming) .
my grandpa is 93 drinks rakija everyday. Still alive and mobile. He said to me he does intermediate fasting after he drinks 2 rakijas and eats one large meal. Avoids caffeine, he doesnt eat fast food that much, occasionaly eats sugar in moderation
I forgot to mention a request for a video about an issue I really don’t understand that I read in dr Dale Bredesen books about the Alzheimer’s disease in which he alerts for the danger of eating more than 1 (one) gram of protein per kilogram of mass weight per day…for example, if my weight is 58 kg, I should eat no more than 58 g (grams) of protein per day, both vegetable and animal protein considered together; how can it be possible and why?!
This man has been saving my life since February . My gastric issues are such that I have to eat very specifically and his tips have taken me beyond what I believed possible.
I was an kido diet for 3 months and I lost 30 pounds, but I did lost a lot of hair as well, and I went back to carbs and some sugar again, and I gained weight again, and I don't feel good as I did, so I am starting kido again with feasting, hopefully I will lose weight again, and feel better soon.
I can relate to the difference in serving size of deserts. Desert spoon in Europe was smaller than a teaspoon. Cakes were a lot smaller, more simple, and far less sweet. Soft drinks weren't common at all. My aunt was making a delicious fizzy drink out of yeast, some sugar and water. Or a lightly sweetened sour fermented drink based on dark rye bread, or simply carbonated water with homemade fruit preserves or homemade fruit syrup. Fruit covered with sugar releases juice. No water added. Ice cream was eaten out of goblets, not bowls.
My Dad is 95 and my Mum is 93, they eat cake every day, drink alcohol but not excessively, my Dad definitely has s sweet tooth and always buys chocolate, they have never listened to a health podcast, they do exercise but moderately, they live at home and argue a lot but never hood a grudge, never smoked but were exposed to heaps of second hand smoke. They always ate moderately and were never obese.
One factor nobody takes in consideration: good or bad karma. Health, beauty, education and wealth in big part depends on karma or our actions from previous life. Some people performed good deeds in previous lives what resulted in, for example, good health in this lifetime no matter what. Others not so much. In any case by our actions in this lifetime, we creating a new karma that can catch up with us in this lifetime or the next. We can't always know when but it will come.

If you’re doing the same thing, how do you look? You have the same genetics as they do. Are you fairing as well? Or do the modern factors the Dr talks about that we deal with from birth, unlike your parents, have an impact.
I am was vegetarian for long time but still diagnosed Parkinson at 46 age 🙁 don’t know why even text DNA doesn’t have in all my familys, please DR give me a good advice what foods i can eat for Parkinson healthy thank a lot 🙏
Thanks for another great video. You correctly mentioned that coconut and palm oils are good, provided they are minimally processed. Those used in the manufactured products that list them use hydrogenated forms even though they are generally not listed as having been processed to increase their stabilities.
The vegans like to say the people in Sargegna Italy are in a blue zone and don't eat meat. Wrong. I lived there for two months and they eat a lot of meat, eggs fish and cheese. In fact pork is important there. They also eat nose to tail.
I have friends who lived in Okinawa for years, same thing, pork is their primary source of calories. That's NOT what the utterly corrupt media and medicine tell us!
Thanks for this excellent, educational & refreshingly reasonable approach to healthy eating. There are so many confusing, “extreme” influencers around these days, all convinced THEY are absolutely right…Each one from their often totally opposing standpoints!
Thank you Dr. Sten Ekberg, It is very useful information. Can you please give us, what are the right food for Breakfast, lunch & dinner. I will be very grateful. ❤
Hey Doc, I have a Q about why quick oats are bad but chewing up your food really good is good? Aren't they generally the same thing? PS: I really enjoy your videos. I feel I've learned a lot from you, thank you.
Excellent presentation thank you. Please explore fatty acids a little more. Particularly the omega 3, 6, 9. A key point to essential fatty acids in natural form (cis) is the incorporation into cell membranes and the ability to transport oxygen into cells. Precondition to cancer is lack of oxygen inside cells forcing them to ferment sugar for energy...5 more minutes with diagrams will make it all clear...
Unfortunately consuming fats of any kind are bad news if you have narrowed coronary arteries. The fat goes from the gut straight into the bloodstream carried as chilomicrons which are large enough to block those narrowed coronaries. Get those fixed before consuming fat
Thank you doctor!! You're doing such a great public service to the community and humanity. People just don't realize how we've been lied to and how we eat foods that harm our health, it's really flat out criminal when you know you're making something that changes your motobolic state like cola but yet you can still sell it and I don't want to even get into the topic of cig's and alcohol. Until the middle of the nineteenth century, the Highland Scots were the tallest and heaviest of the European peoples. The average height of a man was six feet, while seven-foot giants were by no means uncommon. Of 600 crofters evicted from Glen Tilt at the end of the eighteenth century, not one was less than six feet in height or measured less than 17 inches around the calf. People remained active long after their eightieth year, and ages of over a hundred were common. The staple diet of the Highlanders at this time was pinhead oatmeal porridge, vegetables, milk, butter, eggs and cheese with occasional fish, beef, venison, wild fruits, honey and soups.

Dear Doctor Ekberg, could you please make/recommend me a video about meat-and-vegetable diet on the long term vs. gout?

When I fry a potato, egg plant or else in grass fed butter, EVOO is that a problem?

My mom is 79 and she is one of those anomalies and I’m the opposite. I’ve got it all diabetes; uterine cancer, MS…I’m a mess. But, since I quit sugar, carbs, and started fasting my health has changed tremendously. I’m off Metformin, my A1c went from 6.7 to 5.5, my gallbladder is free of sludge, my fatty liver is improving, my HDL went from 34 to 51. All of this since April when a friend shared one of Dr Sten’s videos with me.
Congratulations. Keep up the good work. Wishing you much continued success!!❤❤❤
I had a suspicion about all this processed food in the 90's. A few years later, in the early 2000's, the organic craze began.
Fantastic!
😅😅😅 if you like your children at all. Regarding the kids cereal. That was definitely funny. I'm canceling out the cereal for my kids. Lol
Are you a coffee drinker with sugar? If so, how did you manage to quit sugar?

Good luck getting optimal protein levels solely with fruits and vegetables. That’s a great way to wreck a digestive system.

Honey = sugar.. Dump every thing sugary, and enjoy natural unprocessed food.
As a person with metabolic syndrome my quality of life is more important than longevity. Thank you for validating my personal point of view.
Wow 😮
Yea I’ve noticed ants don’t go after diet soda. They know it’s poison lol
Love it!

Thanks
I start my day listening to Dr. Ekberg's it helps me to remember throughout the day to choose wisely what to eat and do some exercise.
Sugar level should be 3.7 to 6, too low is very risky too n will cause death sooner.😊

Hey Doc, any chance of making a video directed to children and healthy eating habits? In today's world its very hard to keep kids away from all the junk. It would be nice to show them why we avoid those types of food etc. Love your work. Thanks!
Very much needed content.
It's simple, really: just feed them what nature has provided and avoid manmade (processed) products. And always go low on the carbs.

Also, is there any wheat that is good if Modern wheat is bad?
cut out the jam. It has added sugar. Put on peanut butter instead that is made with only peanuts.
Yep I'm always explaining to people who "don't eat sugar" that amy grain you eat is sugar. I cant remember exactly who, but I once heard a doctor say
"you can eat a bowl of corn flakes with no sugar, or a bowl of sugar with no corn flakes. Below the neck, metabolically, they are identical."
Indeed starch is a string of sugar molecules. The 6 carbon ring of sugar when broken becomes a 6 carbon fat except for a few oxygen atoms...
Natural Sugar Honey and cane sugar are very good it's the processed highly refined one's. That can cause issues.
I'm hoping for mid nineties

Thank you Doctor Sten, all your presentations are jam packed with information and crucial viewing. Always outstanding! God bless you and yours.
Learn sentence structure !
Hawaii is a so called blue zone and people eat tons of meat .
Great to hear it holds true even with a population I've sadly not had much contact with. I've only ever heard about the beauty of Hawaii and the friendliness of the locals.@@foxyauragems6146
Dr. Ekberg, we can’t thank you enough. You are literally saving lives 🙏🙏🙏
Soda - I once worked with a guy who drank a 2 liter bottle of Mountain Dew every day. He was obese, and said he couldn’t figure out what he needed to do. I suggested he cut back on the soda. His reply was, “I don’t drink a lot of soda.”
When I asked him if he thought a 2 liter a day was a lot, his answer was, “No, do you think that’s a lot?”
He is having 260 grams of sugar daily intake...
What a shame
🤦♀️
My son..
Wait What 😲
Thanks for the first part.

You're such a blessing to human kind, keep spreading your knowledge everyone deserves a healthy and enjoy longevity life....
Great video Dr. Sten Thank you for this very important information. All good to know for a better life.
Salamat sa pagamit ng aking sariling language kc mas naiintindihan😊
Thanks Dr. You are making my day so much brighter. Thank you for the wonderful video again.
Thank you for your diagrams and explanations Dr. Ekberg! I always feel like I've been taught after watching your videos! Hope you have a happy Friday!
You are a very good doctor and TH-camr.
Thank you @TundeEszlari 😄
Moderation is important. Muslims learn one third of the stomac is for food one third for drink and one third for air
You are so blessed. l’m 59 years old and never knew my dad. He got wounded at Vietnam. 🇻🇳
It must be cool to have a dad.
That’s ok….God blessed me with a beautiful wife and she fine,😍
and 2 Daughters in college.
I’m like SuperDad!
If you’re doing the same thing, how do you look? You have the same genetics as they do. Are you fairing as well? Or do the modern factors the Dr talks about that we deal with from birth, unlike your parents, have an impact.
Love; must be in love ,healthy partnership I believe is a key to health, happiness and longevity.
I am was vegetarian for long time but still diagnosed Parkinson at 46 age 🙁 don’t know why even text DNA doesn’t have in all my familys, please DR give me a good advice what foods i can eat for Parkinson healthy thank a lot 🙏
Watching this while walking on the treadmill 👍🏼 have a great day health champions!

Thanks for another great video. You correctly mentioned that coconut and palm oils are good, provided they are minimally processed. Those used in the manufactured products that list them use hydrogenated forms even though they are generally not listed as having been processed to increase their stabilities.
26:11 Modern Wheat
Does this mean that I can no longer enjoy Ezekiel Bread as a flourless alternative to more processed flour based bread?
You got no answer to that question did you? lol You wont either....
Gracias dr por tan importante análisis de los alimentos voy a poder en práctica sus consejos bendiciones
So calmly and clearly explained. I learn and can make educated decisions. Thank you!
Every minute watched is so worth it. Those 10 foods have not been on my food list for a long time now.
I always say- "Love yourself."
Whenever I want to order a pizza(which is rare) I open this channel and I get some smacking lessons and then decide to eat. Chicken salad.
People often say that no worries that " I don't consume sugar, and I love biscuits, pasta, pizza, bread, chips", XD.
My workplace, a hospital, regularly treated employees to boxes of soft pretzels. I called it "diabetes in a box". Someone always replied "moderation" is the key. We wanna believe that.
Очень доходчиво. Благо дарю и переводчика и автора - профессионала!❤
The government has no plans to have us live a long and healthy life.
Exactly. Can't believe ppl think they are great humanitarians😅
That’s why they keep putting additives in our foods. Just noticed a new one that says at the bottom of ingredients list, contains a bioengineered food product, without saying WHAT IT IS, so we don’t know what side effects are.
The medical and pharmaceutical industry lobby tentacles are long....(besides the food industry itself)
It’s the sad truth 😔
Not the gouvernement is responsible for what you put in your mouth.
He's right on the money about sugar. I've never been one to eat any sugary things, but my family can down a bunch of cookies and candy in one sitting. It's so strange to me lol
I cut out sugar completely based on the videos by Dr Ekberg. These videos are saving my life. May God Bless You.
Please kindly correct it if I am wrong.
