Thank you for this video Sten. By far the most in depth I've seen so far. I'm 35 years old. I've had Lyme Disease since I was 5. Undiagnosed and mistreated for 27 years. At 32 I contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Took Doxy for 30 days and I nearly died. Something in me told me this is all wrong. I made a choice to change my life. I went full carnivore diet for a short time. That helped me get out of bed. I then started walking everyday. It was a very slow progression but through lifestyle changes I got my life back. Today I run a successful business, hike a minimum 7 miles a day, and have very little symptoms. That's all 100% because of lifestyle change. If I can take my health back so can you.
❤I had major heart surgery 1998 Both of my legs have to have arteries taken out of it . Over the years I couldn't hardly walk that made me get blood clots over and over again, more health problems with weight gain from 210 to 405 lbs prediabetes,IVC filter, Back and shoulders pain... I was going to about 7 different doctors, I found a Nurse that told me about Dr Ekberg in 2022 That's was my blessing from God. I don't go One day without checking Dr Ekberg videos, I take notes and pictures of the stuff that I don't want to forget and I love his vitamins.❤

I wonder now...what are the results of Dr's advice here? It is easy to listen but lifestyle changes are quite difficult for most people. Don't think many can find nor afford to eat these foods.

I want to obtain that presentation. **Another dynamic point I like you to make, is when you select those super foods you presented, and fill-up your nutrition with those, that volume absolutely displaces the obvious motive of fulfillment from the foods we're eating that cause so much of our metabolic corruption. I tell my class that on my diet, can eat anything they want, but FIRST, they MUST eat ALL of the selected superfoods - they adhere to this..., they're so satisfied with superfood, they're no longer seeking for damaging foods. He agrees with everything Dr. Ekberg espouses but sadly he thinks he has so little time with each patient that explaining the benefits of keto is just not possible. And that’s tragedy!! I am so grateful to you for addressing the histamine issue. I have MCAS and have been counseled to avoid histamine foods - which makes following your other dietary advice tough - e.g no fermented foods, no aged beef, no fresh fish, etc. It is a brutal prescription to follow.

On your recommendation, I studied microbiome, I have high a1c 6.20%.but low insulin 2.8 and low homa index 0.7. Microbiome showed me 2 bacteria low- akkermansia muciniphila and bifidubacterium low. Is it possible because of them that I raise sugar and what should I do from now on?
For up to an year I did the same approach with food now I learned a lot more about my body responses to different foods. Well for me that was quite easy because I'm your follower for many years.

@Dr Ekberg Would love to see a video about what the withdrawal from sugar and carbs is and how long the symptoms last and why we have them. Cut my carbs dramatically and cut out coffee completely but wondering if my blood sugar is not up and down based on how I feel sometimes. Am I still getting insulin spikes even when I eat a tiny bit of carbs because my body is conditioned to overreact from eating carb rich food so often. So many questions.

Can I add fermented foods, such as kimche, to vary my diet without causing more harm? I do take a probiotic and feel it has helped with my GERD and IBS. But I tend towards inflammation issues. Also what is your opinion of fermenting organic honey with garlic cloves to take for health? Chocolate tea is very good. And that is the way our ancestors consumed chocolate unlike recent human history. I wish I could afford better healthcare. I have had such a hard time with my health over the years. Just can't afford it now. I'm a retired RN, so I have a medical background...and had a great education. But not in nutrition...it was truly a joke! Great video! TY Dr.
If my food selections lack fiber I have 1 or 2 canned artichoke quarters, 1/2 C pears, or 1/4 C red or black raspberries. I think these are prebiotic, as well.

I don't tolerate most of these. I have to eat mostly a carnivore diet because I don't tolerate plants well. So I can have sardines, salmon, grass-fed meat, and pastured eggs in abundance, and I can occasionally have small amounts of cod liver oil (along with cod liver ... I eat the liver and drink the oil it produced), garlic, onion, cabbage, avocado, sauerkraut, yogurt (but only the keto version), pickles, and asparagus. But honestly, I get the best health benefits from sticking to only meat, and that being mostly beef and eggs, with fish at least once a week. I throw in chicken and pork occasional, both for some variety and to help lower my food bill, but I don't feel I need them. But they also don't cause me as many issues as vegetables and other plants do.
Thank you for bringing up histamine in various foods. I really appreciate this as I have dermatographia and foods with histamine can ruin my sleep with insane acute itching from the pressure of just my clothes during the day. It’s crazy!

Let’s take back the definition of “Balance Diet”. Modern medicine definition means that you can “get away” eating “small” amounts of ultra processed foods. That will be difficult. Basically all fruits abd veggies and grains didn't exist in nature just 12 thousand years ago. They have all been created by "human science" (as basic as it was back then). E.g.: cauliflower and brocoli? Made by human science. Oranges? Made by human science. Grains and corn as well, but I guess we know not to eat them.
If you’re reading this start living before it’s too late. I recommend reading “Health and Beauty Mastery” that book is a real eye opener, i completely changed my habits.
Unfortunately I didn't test before switching my potassium from citrate to nitrate in my homemade electrolyte drink. On the spectrum I'm @85-90% nitric oxide level. I don't notice any difference except the chest pains gone, many months ago. Again, didn't note time frame 😢
I doubt it there are case studies on vitamin A and D toxicity other than over-supplementing, not from food. On the healthy fat part I missed the saturated fats, like coconut oil, tallow, butter and lard. I'd love to see your thoughts on this. Aren't these the most stable fats?
what about cooking potatoes and then putting them in the fridge for a few hours. i heard it lowers the sugar absorbed by the body. and one could eat fats and proteing with the potatoes to lower speed of absorption to avoid high spikes in insulin
Hello, I'm a vegetarian and have lived my whole 70 year long life eating only vegetables, milk products, nuts and seeds. About three years ago I started to learn about the importance of omega-3 fatty acids, and stopped using vegetable oils like rape seed oil. I only use high quality olive oil and cold pressed camelina oil - which is rich in omega-3 - and some lactose free butter. Do you have any studies about camelina oil? I buy it directly from a local producer in Finland, and they claim that the fatty acid profile of camelina oil is even healthier than that of fish oil.

After nearly 25 years with statins trying to lower it,I have started to try with the diet only. In your opinion is it a bad thing to do because one can never stop statins? I've started cutting out all sugar (outside of natural sugar in fruits of course), seed oils and processed food from my diet thanks to your videos. Unfortunately it's hard to escape some preservatives in meat. Getting to week 3 soon but boy it's expensive. Fortunately I've never had to take medication, antibiotics or whatever.

But, in one of your videos on intermittent fasting you say towards the end of the video: Eat real food, eat when you are hungry, don't eat when you are not hungry. I agree, BUT as someone who did not listen to the signals of the body being hungry or full, one has to re-learn it! Not so easy! And did you ever consider to look at the psychic cause of eating disorder, for example childhood traumas? The understanding why we started to overeat and make friends with it, might be crucial. Watching your videos, I am going through accepting that I destroyed my liver with sugar, wheat and overeating. Well, doing low carb - keto, I may be able to carry on this body for some more time. @Dr Ekberg Would love to see a video about what the withdrawal from sugar and carbs is and how long the symptoms last and why we have them. Cut my carbs dramatically and cut out coffee completely but wondering if my blood sugar is not up and down based on how I feel sometimes. Am I still getting insulin spikes even when I eat a tiny bit of carbs because my body is conditioned to overreact from eating carb rich food so often. So many questions.

Can I add fermented foods, such as kimche, to vary my diet without causing more harm? I do take a probiotic and feel it has helped with my GERD and IBS. But I tend towards inflammation issues. Also what is your opinion of fermenting organic honey with garlic cloves to take for health? Chocolate tea is very good. And that is the way our ancestors consumed chocolate unlike recent human history. I wish I could afford better healthcare. I have had such a hard time with my health over the years. Just can't afford it now. I'm a retired RN, so I have a medical background...and had a great education. But not in nutrition...it was truly a joke! Great video! TY Dr.

If my food selections lack fiber I have 1 or 2 canned artichoke quarters, 1/2 C pears, or 1/4 C red or black raspberries. I think these are prebiotic, as well.

I don't tolerate most of these. I have to eat mostly a carnivore diet because I don't tolerate plants well. So I can have sardines, salmon, grass-fed meat, and pastured eggs in abundance, and I can occasionally have small amounts of cod liver oil (along with cod liver ... I eat the liver and drink the oil it produced), garlic, onion, cabbage, avocado, sauerkraut, yogurt (but only the keto version), pickles, and asparagus. But honestly, I get the best health benefits from sticking to only meat, and that being mostly beef and eggs, with fish at least once a week. I throw in chicken and pork occasional, both for some variety and to help lower my food bill, but I don't feel I need them. But they also don't cause me as many issues as vegetables and other plants do.

Thank you for bringing up histamine in various foods. I really appreciate this as I have dermatographia and foods with histamine can ruin my sleep with insane acute itching from the pressure of just my clothes during the day. It’s crazy!

Let’s take back the definition of “Balance Diet”. Modern medicine definition means that you can “get away” eating “small” amounts of ultra processed foods. Our definition means not just eating the “Top Ten” foods mentioned here but also a bigger variety of foods that were raised, grown or caught naturally and not wrecked by human “science”.
That will be difficult. Basically all fruits abd veggies and grains didn't exist in nature just 12 thousand years ago. They have all been created by "human science" (as basic as it was back then). E.g.: cauliflower and brocoli? Made by human science. Oranges? Made by human science. Grains and corn as well, but I guess we know not to eat them.

Unfortunately I didn't test before switching my potassium from citrate to nitrate in my homemade electrolyte drink. On the spectrum I'm @85-90% nitric oxide level. I don't notice any difference except the chest pains gone, many months ago. Again, didn't note time frame 😢

I doubt it there are case studies on vitamin A and D toxicity other than over-supplementing, not from food.
On the healthy fat part I missed the saturated fats, like coconut oil, tallow, butter and lard. I'd love to see your thoughts on this. Aren't these the most stable fats?

what about cooking potatoes and then putting them in the fridge for a few hours. i heard it lowers the sugar absorbed by the body. and one could eat fats and proteing with the potatoes to lower speed of absorption to avoid high spikes in insulin
Hello, I'm a vegetarian and have lived my whole 70 year long life eating only vegetables, milk products, nuts and seeds. About three years ago I started to learn about the importance of omega-3 fatty acids, and stopped using vegetable oils like rape seed oil. I only use high quality olive oil and cold pressed camelina oil - which is rich in omega-3 - and some lactose free butter. Do you have any studies about camelina oil? I buy it directly from a local producer in Finland, and they claim that the fatty acid profile of camelina oil is even healthier than that of fish oil.
What are the three things that will self correct all these problems? Fasting, exercise and sleep.

I've started cutting out all sugar (outside of natural sugar in fruits of course), seed oils and processed food from my diet thanks to your videos. Unfortunately it's hard to escape some preservatives in meat. Getting to week 3 soon but boy it's expensive. Fortunately I've never had to take medication, antibiotics or whatever.
I have crippling arthritis and gout. No meds working. Do you have a diet that will work. I’m getting desperate.

But, in one of your videos on intermittent fasting you say towards the end of the video: Eat real food, eat when you are hungry, don't eat when you are not hungry. I agree, BUT as someone who did not listen to the signals of the body being hungry or full, one has to re-learn it! Not so easy!
And did you ever consider to look at the psychic cause of eating disorder, for example childhood traumas? The understanding why we started to overeat and make friends with it, might be crucial.
Watching your videos, I am going through accepting that I destroyed my liver with sugar, wheat and overeating. Well, doing low carb - keto, I may be able to carry on this body for some more time.
