Don't be dumb, don't follow my example oh, also don't inhale the fumes EDIT: for anyone else who made the same mistake as me such as get the soda-superglue cement on your fingernails, I just used vaseline and acetone to remove it and it actually worked (yay!)

the baking soda+super glue method doesn't last long , it will break again , because there's no flexibility in the bonded area . Melted plastic is the best fix
Then do it again and add color to it to make it look cool. The chinese did that with china bone. When you see something with golden spider web structures, it means it was broken but put together again and sturdier than before. And for the plastic, there are ways to soften it up again, just google
All headphones I ever had broke at that same exact place...some within a year some later. I think it's by design they make it on purpose to break and make connection with earplugs too complicated to fix. I don't get it why someone doesn't engineer a default replacer that could fit 99% of earplugs because it's just a plastic part that fixes in place 2 earplugs with wire.
