    Found the information on the website now
    It’s actually 48 minis in 18mm including bases for $20
    A very good price I think
    For 28mm it’s 24 minis including bases for $18
    Also a great price.

    I have been looking at these for a while for NAP and AWI for grandsons. Painting and basing really does jazz them up a bit. Going over to the FIB site to compare prices. No comparison on the time these would save though. Pretty colorful out of the box and snapped on their bases!

    • @leont66wargaming31
      @leont66wargaming31  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They’re also quite robust which is good for grandkids. Mines 8 and don’t like him playing with my 28’s after all the hours of painting. These little dudes are the perfect solution. $20 for a battalion of 40 minis in 18mm. Not a bad price at all. And if they do get damaged you can just glue them back together without any need for repaints.

      @@leont66wargaming31 NO doubt, it is a fine solution when for about $400 you can get virtually every nation involved in 1815 or a little less for every nation involved in 1805.As fast as you can assemble you can start playing and they even offer finished bases!

      Not bad for the price. I think I might go with metal command, Cavalry and perhaps guns in the long run but I’ll certainly bulk up the infantry and use the rest till I replace them.

    They do look good Leon and now you’ve confirmed the price, they seem a decent enough deal. Had I not bought a load of 28mm AWI figures a year or two ago - half of which I’ve now painted - I might have thought they were worth a punt. I would have to find something else to do of an evening though if I started buying pre-painted figures. 🙂

    • @leont66wargaming31

      You could spend the time gaming lol.
      Now I know the prices I’ll definitely expand the collection. I might use metal Cavalry and commanders but I’ll stick with the infantry. I like the idea that I can get gaming with these at a different scale and then just continue painting my 28mm stuff.

    Definately better. These are growing on me. Expensive. You know my thoughts on increasing the troops. You could draw a version of your own and reproduce cheaply (I might have a go). They are after all cardboard flats, stuck to plexiglass.

    They look much better with the edges painted but for me they would never take the place of "Real" figures for table top games but they would be perfect for board games instead of using the blue/red standard pieces which come with board games.

      Yes they’d look awesome as Risk pieces.

    I really like those lil fellows. Painting the edges really does the trick. As for price... 15.00$ for two is way too expensive. For a whole battalion - like you demonstrated - I would pay as much as 20-25$. Regardless, do get back to us on this. Take care, Leon.

  • @warpaint9385
    @warpaint9385 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Might just be the image that is wrong on the website because when you look at the ACW collection for $15 it shows 3 stands not 2.
    3 bases of 18 figures works out at .83 per figure. May still be a little pricey but then again you don’t have to paint them (unless you do the edges).
    $45 gets you a box of Perry’s so yeah have to agree that’s too much.
    Great how you painted those edges by the way, huge improvement.

    • @leont66wargaming31
      @leont66wargaming31  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the images are all a bit confusing. To be fair it does say under construction so maybe the prices aren’t decided yet.?

      Leon T66 is this what they told you in a reply email? It still says $15 on their website.
      .41 per figure isn’t too bad, $20 for a regiment.
      I usually do 24 figures per regiment so 48 could be made into two regiments but probably won’t have two command stands in there.

    • @leont66wargaming31
      @leont66wargaming31  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found some more info on the website but also it’s been confirmed by the creator who’s emailed me back.
      You could maybe email when you order and see if you can get some extra flags with the order.? Then you’d have enough for both or just run one unit with no flags. Or have a Brigade without flags and that could differentiate them as inexperienced and the flags as regular.?

    • @warpaint9385
      @warpaint9385 4 ปีที่แล้ว
