    Thanks for the review. I just discovered these miniatures, and am placing my first order next week. After 40 years of painting figures, I am burnt out and really appreciate pre-painted or 2D miniatures!

    I think they look awesome. I think this is perfect for doing periods you don't have the time to spend painting. In that sense, they are perfect. They look great. I can see adding some paint around the edges of the models just so they look more complete. Thanks for sharing, Leon. Take care and enjoy the little fellows.

      @@leont66wargaming31 I couldn't get into these I know painting is a pain but it is alway a giant part of this art bringing history into recreation bringing it back to life also with AWI it does need to be painted as so many uniforms and different regiments plus the continental army has many different uniforms. If you do go for a AWI project I'd say give 1/72 Imex and call to arms a go. I also have a unpainted Washington figure I can send you as I have three of them and they're no longer in production.

My 7 year old grandson is currently interested in the American Civil War, even watching Gettysburg so I bought 3 regiments for each side and one artillery. 28mm size. Tough games for both teams there for sure. Still and all semi-finals is not to shabby and if you are going to get beaten then New Zealand or South Africa is not an embarrassing way to go out

      I like em. I know it sounds odd having this channel but painting is not my favourite part of the hobby. So anything that saves time lol. I’ll definitely expand these armies.

      I found it in a Facebook post. It was over a year ago now.
      Search WoFun games on google and it’ll bring up the website.
      I’m doing an update in a couple of days showing more of their products
      I think they’re great little minis.

    The only problem i can see is the edges...they really show up bright in your vid, so i'd need to paint those maybe black...

    • @leont66wargaming31
      @leont66wargaming31  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I agree. I noticed when I watched it back. I’ll probably paint up the edges now to blend them in more

    What are the best rules to use with these?

    • @leont66wargaming31
      @leont66wargaming31  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Black Powder from warlord games is a good place to start. Not too difficult to get going with. There are quite a few good rules sets out there as well, but I’d say they’re pretty good overall to get you started

      @@leont66wargaming31 Ok, and about how big of a table do you need for this scale?

    • @leont66wargaming31
      @leont66wargaming31  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @kirkoa1 you could start of quite small. 3x3 and build up as you increase your armies.
      Also with black powder if you’re using 15mm figures like me , half all the distances. Works better for the smaller scale

    I'm interested in getting into wargaming and they look pretty cool. I've looked online and I see the prices are in Euros, can you buy them in UK? Also, does the boxed set come with a rulebook? Many thanks.

    • @leont66wargaming31
      @leont66wargaming31  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris. Yes you can get them sent to the uk. Drop the guy an email and he’ll be able to help you with prices in £ and shipping etc.
      There are no rules in the box set. I use my own rules.

      @@leont66wargaming31 Thanks for the reply mate, I appreciate that. I'll drop them an email, see what's what. I have the artistic ability of a five year old lol so those figures may be useful. Rules-wise I'll try and get a decent rulesbook I guess, preferably historical, which I prefer over fantasy. Ok cheers bud, peace :)

      Chris Jones no worries mate.
      They’re lovely little minis and quite durable. I have another video where I paint the edges up which is really easy to do and improves the look of them even more.
      If you’re going for Napoleonic drop me an email and I’ll send you the pdf for my Rules.
      I’m planning on doing an update for them for these minis AWI.
