@@reyony I forgot to mention earlier that, on that particular video of mine that I just mentioned earlier, @ 16:08, there is song coming in, that particular song is coming from an Korean mmorpg game called: Archlord, a very old game, but it has excellent music, in my own opinion, Korean mmo's in general, has some of the most absolute finest music available, talking about any kind of game in general, if your more interested in the song, just look up: ArchLord Online - soundtrack - Hariel, there is another one, its on the playlist ost #34. Finally, in my own personal opinion, MGS4 ending , the one with Big Boss & Snake, has the very best ending to any game every made on any console/medium, going all the way back to the good ol' Apple ][e era (1978), speaks heavy volumes, thanks again.

to those who are asking: YES. You can die in the microwave scene. I was shocked to see it. I thought there was no chance and it was meant to be that way even if you were passive. AND yes, you can die in that final fist fight even without the health bar AND the Father And Son song fits perfectly in the Japanese VA Akio Otsuka voiced Old Snake Chikao Otsuka (Akio Otsuka's real-life father) voiced Big Boss And they were NOT in good terms, and Kojima casted them specifically so that they could reconcile, and they did, before Chikao Otsuka passed away in real life in 2015

I can say that this is a very satisfying conclusion. I’ve never played the games but I have seen the cut scenes, and I have to say that while this is a batshit crazy series, it’s still a fun kind of batshit crazy.

Huey was always a bag of shit of a person and we all know how shit ends between them, while Solid and Otacon came to be BFF, with Otacon being such a pure and brave man, always ready to admit his own guilt and responsabilities of his own actions.

@@miketrujillo3677 Don't make things worse for your own head for no good reason. There's only 1 coma for the context of this game and it happened after MG2. In MG1 he was just defeated but parts of his body were reconstructed. In MGS1 Liquid was demanding his body.
About the Big Boss and his location. Boss reveals that he was held in a secret location by the Patriots. But he was also healed with Solidus and Loquid. So that must mean that Boss was recovered by Eva and Ocelot and healed, but he was then taken by the Patriots away and put into hibernation.
Everyone has that one game series, TV show or movie series that they "grew up with". This was that for me, and i will never NOT get emotional at the ending of this game.

Ocelot is the most important character in the whole series. In this game, Ocelot pretended/became Liquid to start a war and semengly serve the patriots but he was acrually aiming to destract them whole Solid and his team made the FoxAlive to destroy the Patriots.
Johnny was also on the Big Shell in MGS 2 SOL. On another note Emma Emmerich & Naomi are voiced by the same VA Jennifer Hale... who also voices female Commander Shepherd in Mass Effect & Bastilla Shan in KOTOR & Satille Shan in SWTOR

I don't think so. Hal was already with Mei Ling. They were a couple during the events of the Tanker incident. You know how during the Tanker incident Otacon keeps misinterpreting famous parables when you save? Well if you keep saving eventually Mei Ling will walk in on Otacon giving you bad advice and you'll hear her complain about him not using the sheet of explanations she wrote up for him 🤣. Snake will question him about her being there and Otacon will try his best to brush it off 🤣
Really late to this, but if you select 'Exist' in mgs4 when dying to Liquid, instead of being sent of the main menu, you'll continue instead while Liquid says the phrase "it's not over yet, Snake!" Pretty rad if you ask me
Will probably edit this comment after video to add the rest of my thoughts, but I had to say this now so I wouldn't forget 😆 1:25 seconds in - I have said Metal Gear every time it pops in my head - my whole life! 🤣 I wish I had a partner who like understood and laughed if they like heard me just say it randomly from a different room lol Edit: Noooooo it's over!! MGS4 is definitely my favorite and it's sad to see it over but God it's so good. I really think one of the last cutscenes, the one before you actually start fighting Ocelot, is one of the most, or perhaps the most - epic cutscene in video game history. I mean from an artistic standpoint it really does embody the very meaning of Epic. The dialogue, when the fight starts, the cinematography, the sound design. In that scene in particular it's legitmately perfect. And if course the climax of the whole scene: Ocelot resetting his finger, while Snake does this like primal gesture, close up on him, screams Liquid's name to the sky, while Ocelot rises to his feet, the camera panels out giving this incredible birds eye view of the two of them atop this monster ours structure, to which Liquid cry's out, "Snake!" And how their voices echo out through the vast spaciousness above them. It truly is Epic. Chills every single time.
I have said it many times, but MGS4 really is one of the best games of all time. It wrapped up the saga so beautifully. Just an amazing, emotional experience. And then they got greedy and made half of MGSV.

Even though this game is a technical masterpiece in terms of gameplay mechanics and especially cinematics, i think it's hard to defend it even as a "great game" for anyone who isnt a big mgs fan deeply immersed into the lore. For superficial mgs fans it might not be much replayable because the little gameplay the game has can't carry it properly after the first stage/mission. And the exposition style of cutscenes, that is more exaggerated than previous games, will be overwhelming for them.
So I am going to spoil a bit of the ending of the whole games. Don't read this unless you finish the ending. As an overview, we had the original patriots: Major Zeroh, Big Boss, Para Medic, Sigit, Ocelot, and Eva. They were all taken out throughout the game. Para Medic was eliminated by Grey Fox as revenge for turning him into a cyborg. Sigit was taken out by Ocelot during a botched Interogation. He was the Darpa Chief. Eva, Ocelot and Big Boss was killed by the nanomachines in the bodies of Solid Snake by Drebin. Major Zero was ended by Big Boss at the end of MGS4.
Haha I didn't spend very much time at all looking through Drebin's inventory, and I was mostly trying to use non-lethal weapons. I think I recall some kind of air-cannon shotgun ammo? Thanks for watching! -Anthony

Most fans would probably disagree with me, but MGS4 should've ended with Snake pulling the trigger on himself. Frankly, when I played it the first time years ago, the debriefing part felt so tacked on. Like basically Kojima was pressured into a 'happy ending' and wrote it this way. David Hayter said it best: "I never bought that Snake, when the moment came, that he would hesitate to pull the trigger. He's the one guy who knows when its time; its time." The meta ending isnt bad; but its obviously an add on.
The Mantis Doll will always stamina KO Screaming Mantis. If you look carefully, as you see her stamina and health go down, he stamina always goes down slightly before her health does. Also, Mantis Doll doesn't kill even if it has the Red/Orange color. But if you use it on alive enemies, you can shake them for items. 😂
BB: Under certain conditions, someone can be made to play a certain role. Me: Well that takes on a WHOLE new context for anyone that beat a certain game.
For my next playthrough of the series, I'm going to focus on seeing as much as possible, getting all the CODEC calls, and mastering CQC!!! Thanks for watching -Anthony

Kojima tricks you from the very beginning of the game about Big Boss' eye by having Old Snake wear the Solid Eye on the opposite eye from Big Boss' eye patch. You get used to seeing it that way the whole game so that when you see "Big Boss" get burned it's not weird at all.
"Cats do love to play as Snakes." Given the way cats exhibit their aggressive behaviour much in the same way that snakes do, it would make sense for Adamska to idolise John as an older sibling, especially when The Boss (leader of The Cobra Unit) was Ocelot's biological mother. Going off on a tangent here... but the same phrase applies to Peter "Wormtail" Pettigrew who despite being able transform into a rat as an Animagus, was in Gryffindor House willfully serving a member of Slytherin house (even though it was out of fear, not admiration). Harry Potter stuff.

I have said it many times, but MGS4 really is one of the best games of all time. It wrapped up the saga so beautifully. Just an amazing, emotional experience.
And then they got greedy and made half of MGSV.
You're right! MGS4 really felt like it was for the fans.
I'm glad we finally played MGSV and I hope to explore it again in the future to really lock in my opinion.

Even though this game is a technical masterpiece in terms of gameplay mechanics and especially cinematics, i think it's hard to defend it even as a "great game" for anyone who isnt a big mgs fan deeply immersed into the lore. For superficial mgs fans it might not be much replayable because the little gameplay the game has can't carry it properly after the first stage/mission. And the exposition style of cutscenes, that is more exaggerated than previous games, will be overwhelming for them.

So I am going to spoil a bit of the ending of the whole games. Don't read this unless you finish the ending.
As an overview, we had the original patriots: Major Zeroh, Big Boss, Para Medic, Sigit, Ocelot, and Eva.
They were all taken out throughout the game.
Para Medic was eliminated by Grey Fox as revenge for turning him into a cyborg.
Sigit was taken out by Ocelot during a botched Interogation. He was the Darpa Chief.
Eva, Ocelot and Big Boss was killed by the nanomachines in the bodies of Solid Snake by Drebin.
Major Zero was ended by Big Boss at the end of MGS4.

Most fans would probably disagree with me, but MGS4 should've ended with Snake pulling the trigger on himself.
Frankly, when I played it the first time years ago, the debriefing part felt so tacked on. Like basically Kojima was pressured into a 'happy ending' and wrote it this way.
David Hayter said it best:
"I never bought that Snake, when the moment came, that he would hesitate to pull the trigger. He's the one guy who knows when its time; its time."
The meta ending isnt bad; but its obviously an add on.

The Mantis Doll will always stamina KO Screaming Mantis. If you look carefully, as you see her stamina and health go down, he stamina always goes down slightly before her health does.
Also, Mantis Doll doesn't kill even if it has the Red/Orange color. But if you use it on alive enemies, you can shake them for items. 😂

Kojima tricks you from the very beginning of the game about Big Boss' eye by having Old Snake wear the Solid Eye on the opposite eye from Big Boss' eye patch. You get used to seeing it that way the whole game so that when you see "Big Boss" get burned it's not weird at all.

"Cats do love to play as Snakes." Given the way cats exhibit their aggressive behaviour much in the same way that snakes do, it would make sense for Adamska to idolise John as an older sibling, especially when The Boss (leader of The Cobra Unit) was Ocelot's biological mother.
Going off on a tangent here... but the same phrase applies to Peter "Wormtail" Pettigrew who despite being able transform into a rat as an Animagus, was in Gryffindor House willfully serving a member of Slytherin house (even though it was out of fear, not admiration). Harry Potter stuff.
