It’s good to see people playing MGRR that have an understanding of Metal Gear lore. In almost every playthrough I watch, I hear “WHAT IS THAT!” To Ray, “is that a cow?” To Gekko, “why is he talking about memes?” To Monsoon, “what are nanomachines?” To Armstrong, and a few “what are the Patriots?”

At the end she got slow at final stage, because she doubts her abillities too much, never doubt in quick-time events, because that is the main rule in acing a boss fight.

When Raiden is talking to Sunny and he brings up that he didn’t see borders from space was such a The Boss moment. She did the same thing and felt the same way. Meanwhile Armstrong is espousing anarchist values just like Ocelot was at the end of MGS4, about how people should be free. There's a theory based on the original Japanese that what Ocelot is talking about a free world after the fistfight on Outer Heaven is a concept he got from his own father (The Sorrow) and that makes Raiden and Armstrong just like The Joy and The Sorrow.

I am going to be honest with you. A borderless world sounds great(sarcams). I just have one question: Who is going to get the beach side housing, and who is going to get the poor rusty housing?
In a borderless world, how much will your vote or opinion matter compared to cities with populations the size of whole countries? You voted for a president, but they live on the other side of the world and are never on 100 terns going to visit your poor ass county with the poorest community.
But you still have to pay taxes and live on terribly poor conditions. Where is your money headed? Why, to make those nice and modern state of the art hospitals in the huge cities. Did you think they were going to build even a clinic in the poor neighborhood you live in? Lol. You'll only get a Graveyard.

I think Armstrong's ideology is more akin to a very radical form of libertarianism/anarcho-capitalism. Anarchism is about the abolition of social, economic, and political hierarchies, emphasizing egalitarianism and freedom from unnecessary coercion by states, whereas Armstrong, despite sharing the latter belief (soldiers being able to fight their own wars), actively believes & wants a difference between the "strong" and "weak," an implicit hierarchy through which those with the proper means (namely wealth & capacity to wage war, perfect for PMCs) will be utterly free to do as they see fit, killing their way to the top of the pile, with no government to stop them. Armstrong lacks the compassion so fundamental to anarchist thought, just pure social Darwinist wish fulfillment.

When you stopped punching Armstrong he had around 80% hp, but during the final battle his hp was at 200%. So that health bar when punching him was actually his shirt's.

glad you enjoyed revengeance; an action oriented metal gear, it works out quite well.
the debriefing stream the other night was great
    some space nerd trivia:
both NASA programs mentioned 1:21:00 ( COTS and C3PO ) are absolutely real, with SpaceX being the most successful participant, first bringing cargo, and now crew to the ISS, and they also have a contract to land people on the moon with their new rocket called Starship they're working on in Texas.
The Karman line is the altitude most agree upon as space, but the atmosphere keeps going slowly tapering off; even the ISS has to get boosted periodically because the super thin atmosphere slowly slows it.
Staying in space is more about going fast than going up though; to achieve orbit rockets literally have to outrun gravity so that they're going faster horizontally than gravity can pull them vertically. Wild isn't it

    • @reyony
      @reyony  ปีที่แล้ว

It really retains the heart of Metal Gear, doesn't it?
Thanks for tuning in live, it was a great time.
Also, thanks for all of that info!! I think I know what you're talking about regarding horizontal speed and orbit, I've dabbled a little bit with Kerbal Space Program hahaha -Anthony

An interesting factoid, in the original japanese release of this game, cyborgs bleed white fluid instead of blood, so that's how Raiden is able to tell Sam had barely any enhancements, since he bled red instead of white.

For gaming traditions I start a new run of Pokemon White on my birthday every year, on the spring equinox I play Grow Home and Grow Up, every Easter I play Doom and Doom Eternal, on the Summer Solstice I boot up Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, when Autumn starts I play Okami, in October I play Luigi's Mansion 2, Little Inferno every Christmas, and a minecraft marathon on New Year’s Eve. There are other shows and games I play during certain seasons but that's most of them.

Haha thank you for the feedback! We try our best not to do that, but I think for this game in particular, Audrey was trying to fight through motion sickness and at times needed to shift attention away so she wouldn't feel sick. The conditions were certainly not ideal for fully absorbing this game, but sometimes that's just how it is when you're streaming for a live audience!
