You different endings from ocelot after you pick the left gun. You're not supposed to shoot him unless if you use the guides someday and ocelot will say "why didn't you shoot me?"
The Boss telling her life story was one of the many reasons why she became an instant fan favorite. She's very easily one of the best Metal Gear characters.
Kojima knows how to lionize and add mystique to a character. He did it with snake by having the player watch him through the eyes of a different character.
Fun fact about Ocelot, I remember reading in a guide book on mgs3, is that he has almost photographic memory that he can copy any style of hand to hand and gunplay just by seeing it in action only once. Hence why he was able to fight on par with snake on the WIG so easily.
No matter how many times I see the ending with Eva explaining about The Boss, my eyes always water and my heart feels like it's in a vice because I feel the pain that Big Boss feels there. 😭
@@reyony Interesting thing about end game is there are 2 ways to get Stealth Camo and Infinity Ammo each. And you can get them both in a single playthrough as well! lol. Stealth Camo: Either get 0 Alerts or shoot every single Kerotin Frog (and there are a lot and more than several are easily missable unless you know exactly where they are. I used a video guide to find their locations) Infinity Ammo: Either get 0 kills or capture a Tsuchinoko alive (use a guide for the Tsuchinoko)
I just love how the final timeline shows up with ominous intent. 1972 The Les Effant Terrible Project The Sons of Big Boss are born And the moment Ocelot mentions that he obtained the plans for Metal Gear Rex from Granin foreshadowing the Shadow Moses incident
Snake got the real Philosophers' Legacy from The Boss after their fight. This was done so that Eva would see him get it and know that she could get it from him. Ocelot switched the microfilms during their fight on the WIG.
A nice touch is that each time Snake faces The Boss, he is able to hold is own a be better than the last time. One thing (pretty important) that is easy to miss, as you need to call a specific person at a specific time (I think Sigint, close to the end of the game) is the confirmation that Ocelot is The Boss' son. Anyway, great playthrough, the end of this game always makes me cry... This makes me want to buy a PS2 and these games again (sadly, my dad left the box with all my old consoles and games behind when he moved around 10 years ago, so I lost them all, but I managed to keep my MGS3 metalic box (lost the disc, but still) since it was at my mom's at the time). To this day, The Boss’s final act of love and honor has to be the saddest yet greatest moment in all gaming. For the sake of her country, her final mission was to become the enemy she fought all her life. And to be the target for the hate of the country she loved above all. No wonder Snake put duty in top of everything. The Boss showed him that honor and mission are above life itself.
I always thought it was weird how the boss handled snake so easily in the cutscenes but still loses to him in the end. Now I realize she lost to him on purpose 😮
