Just a word of advice, cleaning the mount first with wire brush by using a drill, wipe the entire mount clean with a rubbing alcohol, then apply soap and water on the mount and bushing . Spray as you press. And if one side doesn't go in, spin to the other side and spray. Think as if you're mounting a tire on a wheel. It'll take 2-5 minutes.
All these a-hole commenters. He stated many times "learn from my mistakes" "this is not going well like the other one" "here's where I went wrong", etc etc and yet all these fruitcakes want to bash him yet they're know-it-alls all here searching for DIY videos on TH-cam to criticize and thumb down. I actually prefer videos where things don't go perfectly because perfect DIYs don't show issues that are likely to arise in whatever the DIY is often times more realistic. Thumbs up, Sergey. You saw it did not go perfectly and uploaded anyway. Thank you for that.
I used a blowtorch as recommended in another video. Just a cheap torch I got at lowes. Worked great. Then I poured my own poly into the mount. It's solid AF.
you are a cool guy .. i admire that.. i need videos like this that shows how it looks when you fucked up, it shows the ugly part of it when things go wrong .. not those perfect ones
Good afternoon, my friend, congratulations for this important tutorial .. I appreciate all the information you can give me to learn how to do that work ..
Nice vid very informative. I did mine the same way the first time. Except instead of cutting the inner ring I used a cold chisel, took about the same amount of time as a sawzall just a little more hammer swinging and didn't damage inner ring.
Sergey, do you have a video of you removing and reinstalling the mounts. I have the same engine and mounts and mine need to be replaced. Where did you jack the engine? On the oil pan or bell housing. Did you have to use any special tools? Any tips would be appreciated. thanks.
Adam Sequeira we used standard tools, nothing special. I don’t like to put anything under the oil pan, so we typically jack up the bell housing and transfer case connection area. Oil pan is pretty thin so will dent easily. You can always use a wood block like a 2x6 and it will be okay to support some weight. We also did one bushing at a time, so the motor wasn’t completely hanging. This helped.
A lot of the vibration comes from the balancing of the motor. The motor in this jeep was balanced and all internals were polished. That takes care of a lot of the vibration. If you have excessive vibration coming through, I would be a little concerned about the overall integrity of your motor.
WHY??????? Just buy the whole mount. Especially if you were taking them off of the vehicle in the 1st place. It's only a couple dollars more. This is just so much more extra work.
He's showing how to install without having the perfect tool. Enjoy the info. Or if you have the correct tool, you don't need to watch this DIY showing mistakes so that you can avoid them.

Wow really how did it hold up? How did the poly absorb the engine vibrations in D or R at stop?

The easiest way is put them in the freazer for a day and they shrink up then just push them in
Nice going.
thanks for video- heat up outer metal, sleeve should come out easier?
Just cut the bushing half and mount the parts by hand.
This young boy still has to learn a lot !!!😂😂😂😂👈
Чтобы запрессовать полиуретановую втулку в корпус опоры, нужно было срезать один буртик на втулке, или сделать сегментные вырезы в этом буртике.
This stock ones are made to fail as soon as possible, by looking at them. This aftermarket best choice.
tendrán mas duración obviamente, pero transmitirán mas vibración en la carrocería y en el habitáculo porque quedan muy duros
U could use silicone spray or paste next time to help slide it in
KY, not a joke..
How did these perform and hold up? We’re they oem replacements?
I think you need some kind of oil. To make it fit easily.
Wow the comments are savage AF.
Genial , me gustó

Hello, Is it possible to install in a jeep wj? 1999-2004
Where did you order those from
what about the vibratons in the engine, that mount is to rigid...??
Did you see the mount it replaced? It was much much worse before. The torn mount had no vibration absorption left in it.
best to check the metal next time

Muy mal, no sabes nada de soportes, el poliuretano q le pones es muy duro, se requiere q absorba vibración y eso lo veo muy rígido
