I used Ruinous Effigy in Prophecy earlier tonight and it makes defeating the knights super easy. Block to suppress/blind them, slam, then a quick tap of the laser.
This is honestly a really easy exotic quest. It just takes a bit but it's so worth it. I can already see that this thing is going to be needed like crazy
I'd say the only hard part about this quest is the fragments but even that can be easy just walk around with your ghost out in Nav Mode then you should find them easily and if you want a good place to farm the void kills and precision multi-kills just go The Whisper quest on IO and make your way through it until you get to a grassy wide open room and just fall down the cracks where all the shawdow thralls are, stand by one of the ledges that lead up to the grassy room and just, farm with your void weapon and get your easy precision multi kills. idk this was just easier, and also for Savathuns marionettes the best place for me was Titan.

Reckoning is probably the best way to do the 3rd part as you can just run Gnawing hunger with hunter or any void sub class and you will have it done it about 3-4 T2 reckoning runs
You do not need to do void or the multi kills in gambit or reckoning. I did the void kills and multi kills in the whisper mission before gambit, went super quick
So it turns out you can get the catalyst drop a lot sooner than you might think. After killing the first TWO of Savathun's Eyes, aand then using the dunk with a sphere, it dropped 😎 You still have to dunk spheres to attach it, but that should help a lot wondering when they can get their catalyst for it (note - you can also kill Eyes with spheres).
you know, if Mr.Datto had simply told us that there are no hidden/hard to find thingies, I would have been a lot less stressed. Now I can't wait for the "eye's" part. Will it be as simple? I doubt it.
*PLEASE READ:* Jade Rabbit on console (maybe PC too) is bugged. The exotic perk is not working, period (no bonus damage nor ammo returned to mag after landing a headshot from chaining body shots). I tried to get this seen on Bungie forums but it just didn’t get traction. Posting here in the hopes this issue is seen.
I just wish that bounties XP amounts were at least doubled so that it’s not a chore and it’s actually worth doing them on multiple characters and so people that have a life can rank up their season pass because there’s people probably damn near rank 200 already:/
this gun looks so fun. sucks my season quest has been bugged since day 1 and i cant open umbrals or talk to the prismatic recaster to pick up this quest. maybe bungie will fix it one day. for now ill just sit here and dismantle my umbral engrams and get not even glimmer so i can have room to get normal engrams

This quest was pretty easy. I’d only say finding the puppets was annoying since on Titan they only spawn by 2’s. Also if you didn’t have Reckoning Tier 3 and do gambit prime, that’s rough... That being said, it’s one of my favorite fucking exotic weapons! It’s like Titan Bubble plus rift dunk plus trace rifle. Allies can also pick up the orbs. GG Bungie, THIS is truly an exotic weapon. It’s like something from borderlands but more fitting in a destiny game
Is anyone else having trouble finding their final fragment? I’ve been through this video hundreds of times and I’ve yet to find my last fragment. My ghost isn’t picking up a single thing either. It’s getting pretty frustrating...

Love these exotics. They’re so unique it embodies the meaning of an exotic- doesn’t have to be super amazing just has to be special imo
Right, but some exotics are still very underpowered and need buffs even if they are unique, like Skyburner's Oath.

One of the quest steps actually mentions how this weapon was made in a similar way to Touch of Malice

I wonder if this exotic will help with Prophecy solo flawless. Some of those orb abilities seem helpful for ad clear while also killing the knights

What i like about Datto is that he is not egotistic. He is a very mellow down to the ground kind of guy which I appreciate and look up to.

I had some trouble doing the Precision multi kills so I used Polaris lance very helpful due to its explosion perk highly recommended

This exotic is my go to weapon for the time being, just because of how unique it is.
So it turns out you can get the catalyst drop a lot sooner than you might think. Titan was a far easier farm for the marionettes ... you just do a loop around the RIG area and you will find about 3 to 4 spawn areas for them.
