Blud forgot about the Shoddy, the mission Freeze Easy, and the elemental lasers for that lame Janey quest in tps. 🤓 also the starter pistol in bl2. Smh my head Edit: great redemption mentioning bl1 different legendary tiers
by the elemental lasers do you mean the crystals that you pick up? because the laser weapons are a weapon type like shotguns or snipers. also you're my favorite bl creator love your stuff (although miq is a close 2nd)
White rarity actually has quite a few interesting guns especially in BL3 and Wonderlands. Also white rarity shields and grenades if they fit your current build often are preferable to non-matching green and blues.
The Eridian Weapons of Borderlands 1 are a Sub Rarity from the rest of the weapons only being able to acquire after a certain mount of the Story has been completed, along with its own legendries and pearlescent. They Also come with Infinite ammo that has to recharge instead of Reloading.
I will never get in my head how they dared to not have pearls in BL3, specially when so many legendaries were locked behind hard as balls grinds (guardian takedown, or arms race) and dealt some insane daage setting them on a whole different tier.
Randy Pitchford the CEO of Gearbox Tweeted: "Pearls in B3 would've meant cutting an entire weapon manufacturer or class of weapon in order to conform with gun architecture + memory constraints on certain consoles. Going non-parity between platforms would've ruled out cross play forever. Trade-offs are tough decisions."
I think basically pearls, seraphs were combined into Legendary. Now trusting Randy is a slippery slope of course but the reason listed was that it would alter file structures and cause issues with older consoles, as someone who originally played BL3 on PS4 that game had serious issues, the menus dropped to 10 FPS or less and lagged the game just looking at gear and areas took sometimes over 2 minutes to load, and booting up the game could take even longer. That said, I personally consider weapons from the Takedowns such as the Redistributor and Moonfire to be Seraphs, and some of the highest tier weapon drops from the final 2 DLCs to be Pearlescents, like the Plasma Coil and Kickcharger. Kind of helps to keep them distinguished and is a bit of a cope for how OP they are (they are def too OP).
@@Bonelord69 Well, that may be true, but Borderlands 3 was a nightmare on Old Gen. My BL3 took 4 minutes to get to the Main Menu, and the FPS did tank hard
