The system is definitely ready for another rework in some shape or form. It’s unintuitive and detracts all value from any armour drops once we’ve acquired the stats we want on any single gear set beyond collecting ornaments. I personally like this as the build crafting system still lacks the necessary in-game functionality to be considered “fun”, but it’s not healthy for the game going into the future. Hopefully Bungie find a way to improve this experience going forward.

It's worth pointing out that d2 armorpicker will not take the exotic artifice capability into account unless you unlocked the slot on that particular piece of armor. So any loadout suggestion with only a few stat points missing can be pushed over into the next tier by upgrading the exotic armor to arifice.
in the Advanced Settings, Artifice Slots section, turn on the "Assume ever exotic has an artifice slot." setting, if that's how you want it to work. gl on your armor sets :D
Dude, I just finished a chart for a build I wanted to make, and I saw this. This will really help with that build I want to make. You told me the best way to farm for the stats resilience, recovery, and discipline thnk u that'll really help.
This was beyond helpful. Glad I’d been doing the ghost mods correctly on a lucky guess. I had already been getting fairly lucky on quite a few pieces, but now I know how to get to the heart of the issue.
I personally find it better to ghost mod focus Resil because it's the most important stat-if you focus a 30 discipline piece but you get a bad top bucket, it's basically instantly a trash piece. Discipline is also cheaper in the armor mods (+10 is 3 energy opposed to +4 for resil), and I personally think Recov isn't that important, even as a warlock main I usually run nothing more than tier 7
but doing disc basically guarantees the bottom bucket to be the one worthwhile stat, u cant pretend an armor piece with 25 resil and 25 int is going to be any good either, its better to roll the dice with the top bucket cuz theres options at the very least
@@hyperviewed I disagree though, resil is really the only important top bucket and I like having atleast some strength (not on hunter obv). Yes it's safe. I have thousands of hours in the game and been using it for years. You give it access to your vault and it will create a build with what you have. Destiny Item Manager will let you create builds as well.
Xur sometimes gives really good spiked armor stats but, depends on ur class. Xur also has the easiest way of getting exotics which is by farming the Devils Lair Strike which drops the most Strange Coins
At this point you might as well make channels that go up to Shadow Destiny 100. And then make a "2 shadow 2 destiny", "shadow", "destiny", "shadow destiny: last city drift" and so on.
As a voidlock main i recently made two builds on both voidlock and prismatic(tier 10 resil, tier 10 recov, tier 10 intellect, tier 5 discipline, tier 5 strength)I care about recov, resil and intellect the most while seeing discipline and strength important too.Imo this is the best distribution bc everything works and flows great also doesn’t limit my speed of play.
Play and build how you want. Don’t let anyone tell you or dictate how you play your game. Me? Idgaf about some meta or sandbox or what some streamer or naysayers tell me. I have some triple 100 and I get shit talked about having 6 recover cause my triple 100 went to mobility, resilience and discipline. In a devour build that’s perfectly fine since I’m a nightstalker main. After a while I gave up on that and went for a more balanced build at 70,70,70,100,50,40 Feels great, nothing feels like it’s lacking. I like it and that’s what matters. Though that +10 mod I put into intellect could go to recovery to make it 80….. it’s whatever lol
I find so many things give you melee energy and grenade energy that intellect makes the most sense to me. Also I like things like final blows give special ammo and I go with stacks on stacks and time dilation to build up armor charges. My point is I don’t like spending energy on stat points when I find it being so much more useful for other things
@@TimNel80 resil, recov and intellect are maxed out already, mobility doesn’t add up much other than better strafing(i strafe pretty good already so don’t need it)also i wanted to balance both nade/melee cooldown to be rapid and similar as possible

For example in a close quarters scenario like punch dodge punch dodge lol Heavy handed spawns orbs on melee kills which you will feed you’re and teams supers/abilities and every time you kill with combination blow you get your dodge back, gamblers dodge refunds your melee to full, so you do it again and again to get super energy. Infinite loop. And to add to it you can add recuperation on your boots and powerful attraction on you class item to auto scoop orbs. Because of stuff like this I don’t focus into intellect cause my other abilities and infinitely spawning orbs just keeps me healthy and constant super.
Hey I’m a new player, and what you said about failsafe is beyond me. I have been doing some older campaigns, what should I do in order to do the episode stuff/things in the game associated with that? Should I abandon the older stuff and just do current content?
OMG I ROLLED A DOUBLE SPIKE!!! Res 29 & discipline 29!!! Everything else 2!!! Sad I used all my cyphers already :/ now I need another 4 just in case smh
'You can't get above 34 stat distribution in the top bucket' is incorrect, I have a Blue War mantis hunter gauntlets that rolled w/45 Res, 4 mobility & 4 recovery. I think it broke something because the bottom bucket is all 0.
I had someone tell me that my loadout screams Shadowkeep with the weapons, look and stats and I didn't know if I should be insulted or laugh about it, because the last time I played Destiny 2 before coming back in early june was during Shadowkeep lmao. The guy said "I saw no Resilience and I figured you haven't played in a long time"
Unfortunately I still see a lot of guardians with poopy stats, yet last time POH was in rotation I found it extremely difficult to find a fireteam willing to farm for longer than 15-20mins (which is a huge waste of time trying to keep up with adding people in order to keep farming). Compared to last year so many people were down to farm POH I wonder what changed. I was able to farm with my 2 buds for 3hrs though and got a lot of good armor, few triple 100, 70's in prismatic on all classes w/o having to waste too many fragments on stat boosters.
I do like Mobility on a Titan. I wanna go fast. Ive always prioritized it. in D1 It was Mobility and Recovery. Had the mindset of who needs armor when you aren't getting shot.
This vid is talking about BASE stats, as clearly mentioned several times. It is impossible to have anything in the 80s before you apply mods and masterworks.

This video is really just PVE centric. He highlights some elements of PvP but not as extensively as the PVE element. I wish that was highlighted in the title but I get it, videos have to be click bait. Still a well made video.
I feel like people are sleeping on the elemental capacitor perk with this gun. I play on my void subclass often so maybe that’s why I’m the only one who’s really for the stability buff. I understand why we like headseeker but if all it offers is forgiveness why do we need it if we are hitting our shots ? The extra stability gives me that
You'll know if a source grants high stat armor from focusing if it says "Focusing with a high X stat due to equipped Ghost mod." where X is the mod you have equipped. Iron Banner counts for this, and can also drop high stat armor on match completion. Not the most efficient way to farm armor, but if you're in the playlist anyways for the emblem and have all the weapons you want, it's a good way to spend your leftover engrams.
@@JJroks543 That is false, it says "Focusing with a high X stat due to equipped Ghost mod." at any vendor that sells armor (correct me if im wrong), and almost none of them actually give out consistent high stat armor.
WARNING, don't follow the order of this guide. Figure out you subclass fragment buffs first, then go for armor once you know what you need. Also, prioritize 4 cost stats. That means resilience and recovery so you can use more 3s discipline, strength and mobility.

Good players don’t need triple or quad 100s. Doubles isn’t even required for end game pve
iv only ever been able to get 1 100 stat with the others reaching 70 or 80 and here is this guy with 4 100 stat .....
Is D2armorpicker safe? How does it work?
Yes it's safe. I have thousands of hours in the game and been using it for years.
You give it access to your vault and it will create a build with what you have.
Destiny Item Manager will let you create builds as well.
Nothing’s impossible Got some crazy few pieces w weird stats😂
Unsure why the 2 buckets aren't called offensive and defensive but whatever haha
On the episode vendor how do unlock piece of armor ? I can only buy part in my collection
So if the max is 68 why do I have a piece of 69 total armour with nothing on it 😅
I need some friends to play sith who aren't toxic af i play almost everyday
Xur sometimes gives really good spiked armor stats but, depends on ur class.
Xur also has the easiest way of getting exotics which is by farming the Devils Lair Strike which drops the most Strange Coins
Bro this is the best explanation of this system ever, great work 🎉
At this point you might as well make channels that go up to Shadow Destiny 100. And then make a "2 shadow 2 destiny", "shadow", "destiny", "shadow destiny: last city drift" and so on.
the real kings have 3x100 without a focus boost
"In most cases, the highest it will go is 34 total stat points"
Me with my 41 Intellect Helm of Saint-14 🗿
does anyone have a thing i could grind for free? both methods in this video need me to pay for something
I think mobility would be valuable if they actually give the character more control over the jump and airborne mobility
me looking at my gear with 100 resi and 100 intelect, yeah this is fine
After a while I gave up on that and went for a more balanced build at
70,70,70,100,50,40
Feels great, nothing feels like it’s lacking.
@@emreakarsu4554 I have to have mobility since I’m a hunter main and my class item is tied to it as well as jump height and movement speed
@@TimNel80 you can also use dynamo on the helmet. Using class ability near enemies grant super energy. For example in a close quarters scenario like punch dodge punch dodge lol
Heavy handed spawns orbs on melee kills which you will feed you’re and teams supers/abilities and every time you kill with combination blow you get your dodge back, gamblers dodge refunds your melee to full, so you do it again and again to get super energy. Infinite loop. And to add to it you can add recuperation on your boots and powerful attraction on you class item to auto scoop orbs. Because of stuff like this I don’t focus into intellect cause my other abilities and infinitely spawning orbs just keeps me healthy and constant super.
i started d2 3 weeks ago and after watching this vid, im getting genshin ptsd
Hey I’m a new player, and what you said about failsafe is beyond me. I have been doing some older campaigns, what should I do in order to do the episode stuff/things in the game associated with that? Should I abandon the older stuff and just do current content?
OMG I ROLLED A DOUBLE SPIKE!!! Res 29 & discipline 29!!! Everything else 2!!! Sad I used all my cyphers already :/ now I need another 4 just in case smh
Having triple 100s and also having all stats end in 0 is something I want lol got it done except for 33 mobility 😮💨
love making a build and seeing this
Basically Grind the crap out of the game.
'You can't get above 34 stat distribution in the top bucket' is incorrect, I have a Blue War mantis hunter gauntlets that rolled w/45 Res, 4 mobility & 4 recovery. I think it broke something because the bottom bucket is all 0.
bro specifically talked about highstat legendary armor. war mantis is neither :)
Man, I really wish I had got this video yesterday, when i spent ALL MY ENGRAMS WITHOUT THE GHOST MOD
since tfl iam runing around with 129 Disziplin
Wow!
So easy... just do raids and dungeons
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
damn bro you needed a third 😭
I had someone tell me that my loadout screams Shadowkeep with the weapons, look and stats and I didn't know if I should be insulted or laugh about it, because the last time I played Destiny 2 before coming back in early june was during Shadowkeep lmao. The guy said "I saw no Resilience and I figured you haven't played in a long time"
Not me as a hunter still thinking I need 100 intellect and 100 mobility 😂 don’t worry I’m gonna fix my build asap knowing this now
but i got a gauntlet with 50 res how did i do that if its impossible?
8:58 don’t know bout that one chief. I don’t have the episode
Thanks for this, I thought resilience helped with warlock glass abilities 😂 😮
You're not correct about a few things. I have several pieces of exotic and legendary armor that have stats in the mid to high '80s
68 without master work or mods 😪 1:03
This vid is talking about BASE stats, as clearly mentioned several times. It is impossible to have anything in the 80s before you apply mods and masterworks.
@@ShadowDestiny3 I'm talking about base stats without mods. They're clearly in the game because I have several. I'm not trying to troll, but you're just wrong.
@@Ree_Devon24 no you dont.
@@nappuru okay, if you say so
so this is a weird question but do you offer these guides in text form? i have a difficult time following strickly from videos especially when trying to look work ingame with the information/
If it doesn't have 68 total with two stats at 2,
then I delete it
good video, i been doing everything u said, few 3x100 builds after some time off from d2 ;one tip i may add, always pick up quests from fail safe that let u do them anywhere in the system, u will get more engrams, so more armor chances
Hiii, I’m not exactly a new light but I’ve never done any raids or dungeons. I was looking for someone who could teach me and have a fun time playing
The extra stability gives me that
Does focusing Iron Banner armor give 65+ armor? Legacy armor too? Oh, got to 10:57. I've noticed good armor from drops but not sure about focusing.
13:47 WARNING, the order was fragments THEN stat totals? lol
@@nappuru order was go get armor first, get it last, figure out what you need first.
@@rogerhuston8287 imagine if there was a flexible mod slot on armor so you can offset the fragment cost
@@nappuru - Yes, I know there is, not what I'm saying. I think you are arguing with someone else, because clearly you have no idea what I'm saying. Troll.
About 7:15 before he stops fluffing/padding and actually starts talking about why you clicked.
