Great video and entertaining as always thanks Al, but I’ll stick with my Titleist T200’s. Only had them about a month and can already shank them twice as far right as that.

P7CM it's my first set iron, I have few information about golf equipment, I've bought it because I loved it's looks so gorgeous, still play with it
Hi Alex, great video. I'm curious if you've ever tested the Cobra Forged MBs and CBs? They don't seem to get much press but I personally think they're some of the nicest irons on the market. They come with like 25+ free shaft options too which is awesome cost savings if you're getting fit as I imagine anyone shopping in this style of iron is.
I just tested in the course for two days and two rounds straight the p770, p7mc (7 irons) against my apex (8 iron for reason of lofts). The p7mc was my favourite by far when I hit them well - lovely feel etc much like my previous p760s actually though punishing on mishits. So far have not been able to test the new jpx line but hope to do so. Of the many clubs I have tested out there the only one that I think ticks all the boxes if I was to change - except price in a big way- is the pxg gen 3.

I too love a "split set". Still gaming the RAC TP combos. Haven't found anything that suits my game better..... Until now? MB/MC combo? Where's that credit card!! ❤️

Just got my P-770, 4-7, waiting on my 7MC 8-PW, combo set
There were Five Great Iron sets made by Taylormade long ago. Firesole, FCI, 300, RAC CB Forged! These were made in Japan by Miura! The fifth one is RAC MB ZTP, no clue as to who forged it for Taylormade. I tried the P7MC last week, they are not as good as those Five for sure. The copper inlay in those earlier versions make it very soft and the design is impeccable.
However, what shaft you mate into these would also make a difference. My vote would be for Modus series, but there are many fine shafts available today compared to 15 years ago.
Mr Etches - you my friend are entertaining. Your sense of humor and self-deprecating approach to reviewing equipment is hilarious. At the same time you provide an excellent assessment of the clubs, the tech/marketing verbiage, etc to educate your viewers.
BTW - More ch-AL-lenges, against the TXG crew and more on course content would be welcome.

As usual shanks very much for an early morning upload (US East coast). Real excited to try a more traditional cavity back from TM. The foam and speed slots are great but the random 20 yard flyers are getting tiresome.

I've got to agree, not nice to have a huge difference in spin rate drop-offs relative to strike location!
great video. 188 on 97 club speed seems low. seems like these would combo well with the MBs, but not sure these would combo very well with the 770s.

Trulsrohk LT2 was one of the most under appreciated irons ever. Minimal offset and super soft.
Al...... you should put the MBs and the CBs in your bag, I haven't seen you as excited for some irons in quite some time.

Hi would you say these are closer in comparison the the mizuno 921 tours or the forged?
Alex what's the difference between these and the older p770's? They look identical. I play with the old 770's and they're great
How good was the forgiveness on the shank. Pure. Like always taylormade make solid gear. Look good, sound good, feel good, great irons. Another good fun review.

i've been playing Titleist forever but was disappointed with the last iteration of their irons. way too busy. but then along came TaylorMade irons and wow, they look phenomenal. i'll be going to a TM fitting day and if all goes well then TM will be my new clubs. Has anyone had any experience/comments regarding the Spider X putter ??
Please help me sleep better for the next month..I've ordered a mixed set..770/ P7-mc...replacing my Srixon 565/765 which I like but was going to restart this winter..These Taylormades have the shaft s I wanted and didn't cost a whole lot more.My major concern is the z785 to P7-mc change..im hoping they are fairly equal as far as forgiveness and feel..You've hit both..whats your take?.. I only have them in 8,9,pw..thanks..Rick

You must think like that: its a shank, but it doesnt went all the way down to narnia ;-) i think for me, the p7mc looks not so sexy like the p770mb. but its my point of view. very nice review of the clubs. which one of the 3 versions do you put into your bag????

Remind me of the mp-18 SC’s (what I’m playing now). I wonder if TM see the same results as Mizuno (that the difference between the cavity and the MB is minimal), and take these out of the lineup next year.
I'd say so mate! Not a huge difference and potentially more visible tech/forgiveness

These might be the best looking muscle cut irons. The straight lines give me retro vibes but in a modern presentation with the muscle bottom. Just stunning to look at.

I did last year. Yet to do a 2020 version.
Another great and entertaining video 👌 But I don't think the new line looks as good as the old one... I Like the P760 and especially the P730 a lot better (based on looks, of course)
I have the P760s but they do look like a George Forman grill, so I think the P7MC iron look brtter and don't make you hungry for a cheeseburger during the round.

I did. Project X Lz 6.0 shaft and Golf Pride MCC Plus 4's. So as soon as lockdown is done with i hope my swing is in good enough shape to use them. 😂😂

Had a look at these yesterday but declined to try them, as I don’t want them in my head next time I play, 770’s look good too however I would need to move my 6 month old P760’s 😱😱 I have found them great to use however they are proving a little difficult to move the ball, always opting for the straighter flight. I sound like a right moaner I know 😂

Yep, Same problem. ... Athough the 2 commercials I watched during the video were plenty loud enough to hear from the moon.
