I drove both and ended up buying the Pathfinder, it was more comfortable, the acceleration was quicker to me and the looks was the key factor in my purchase..
the pilot cargo should be 83.9 not 114.3 cubic feet. when you worry about nissan reliability, most people talk about jatco cvt, the new pathfinder come with an AT this time, and same as the last gen honda pilot(ZF 9HF 2gen) For the sales data, i think thats normal, last gen pathfinder is a cvt, no one know cars want to buy 7psg heavy truck and everyone know nissan old cvt cause lots of problems and bad feedback. both them have their tested good quality 3.5L v6 engine. i went to dealer compared the pilot 22( the 23 not come out yet) and subaru ascent(count as a toyota), and 23 pathfinder, for me the build quality are mostly the same, they all looks good outside but on some inside details somewhere only ok. i also watch lots of details videos created by pros on youtube and i didn't see any reliability defference the new pathfinder and new pilot. its been 2 month have the 23 pathfinder sl premium canada version, not any complain, its quite, comfortable, truck feel driving exp, pack with lots of new tech, soft materiels everywhere, most complaints in the 22 year model have been fixed, you have leave lock now, but auto air condition still sucks in winter, just turn off auto and temp adjust wokrs fine, no more cold air come out. when you compare the space, 23 pilot have 2inch length longer, but 0.4 inch wheel base on PF take back 0.8inch roomier back, only 1.2 inch difference. the only reason PF have bad 2.3row legroom on paper is beacuse PF have 44.3inch 1st row and pilot only give 41inch, not good for a tall driver. with my own exp, im 240lb 5.9tall with heavy winter jack, i can adjust evry seats comfortable for myself for long trip (you need to adjust the 3rd row seat back to lower position). also when you compare trim to trim in canada, pilot are around 5K CAD more expensive than PF, the interest rate also at 7.59 for Pilot compare to PF at 5.99 for 5 years. makes totally 10k CAD difference in 5 years. when your compatitor become batter, give less and charge more not seems a good way, thats what i want to say to toyota and honda.
Late to this review, but I've driven the 2024 of each and I was very surprised by the cargo differences, because the pilot drives like a much smaller vehicle than the pathfinder. The pathfinder seems more stable at speed (well over the posted speed limit where I drove it). I'm really stuck between these two, I like both of them more than the Korean alternatives, despite those having more tech. Not sure how I'm going to decide!

Just traded my 09’ Xterra for 24’ Trailsport. The 4.0 six Nissan is a power monster with thirst to match. Honda is just more refined and smooth. Again, 24’ power goes to Nissan, drivetrain AWD to Honda. Looks, Nissan looks more muscular but Honda wears its large size well with smooth lines and chiseled front. Love TS wheels, hate black. Both engines a little noisy. Honda has very composed ride and handles very well considering enormous size. Rock Creek will do well with everything for you, as will Trail sport. Honda extremely well built ulitarian vehicle with everything where it should be with quality you can feel. Up to you if worth the extra $$$.

Honda has definitely fallen over the last couple years. Bad 1.6 litre turbos and the ten speed for the pilot has been questionable at best. Nissan has a very well proven V6. It’s the Jatco CVT that ruined them
@@danwaller5312 but you can beat their reliably I had a 03 sentra ser spec v that went through 3 engines. I looked at both and like the styling of the Pathfinder and purchased a SL Premium loaded at $3,895 under the MSRP of $50,655. Couldn't find a Honda dealer in my tristate area that wasn't charging over MSRP.
@filmingyu6623 it's a platinum 2023, I like the car, but fuel pump went, wind noise could be better, weird pebble crackle noise sometimes at low speeds and a squeak over bumps occasionally. I know these are nit picks mostly but this is a brand top model car.
Difference is nissans bad reputation and terrible resale value despite Nissan's effort to improve over the last while. Pilot will outsell Pathfinder just because of those two factors for nearly the same price.

I bought the 2023 Pathfinder Rock Creek. For the design and towing capabilities.
How was it so far?
And?

i have been doing research on this exact topic and i agree on every point you've made!
I love Nissan, but longevity and reliability wise Pilot. Longtime owner of both brands!
I will choose the pathfinder
No question about it...Pathfinder!
I would go for the Honda pilot!
I think you put SL twice, maybe the other one is SV?
S, SV, SL, Rock Creek, Platinum

I still choose pilot even though I like pathfinder from what I see.

Honda hands down if you want reliability
One reason to go for Honda : reliability.
One is know for having some of the most reliable engines in the market the other is Nissan.
Honda has definitely fallen over the last couple years. Bad 1.6 litre turbos and the ten speed for the pilot has been questionable at best. Nissan has a very well proven V6. It’s the Jatco CVT that ruined them
@@codygibson3765🤮 I hate CTV transmissions Manual for life
Pathfnder is a 9 spreed automatic now. Comfort wise……can’t beat those Nissan seats

I will go with 4 Runner!
I like the pathfinder but mine has had problems and its very cramped compared to pilot. Pilot is my clear personal choice
What year and trim is your pathfinder with problems? And what problems? Thanks!

Honda for sure
Timing belt vs timing chain. I always go with timing chain. Deym honda its 2024 and still using that stpd belt.
Pathfinder is much better offroad

Honda can redesign every year, but it will not win vs Pathfinder even if pathfinder will redesign every 10 years from now😂
Pilot will still have much better resale value in ten years over the Pathfinder though
@@juanmateus8560 why would you sell your car? Lol!
@@KenfurVinas just saying resale value is a factor to take into consideration when buying a car.
