We bought a 2022 Pathfinder Platinum 2wd with Captain chairs. It has been great so far. Wonderful on long road trips. It currently has 38k miles. No issues whatsoever. We didn't want 2022 loaded pilot back then because it looked like a van. However, this new pilot is something I would consider if it didn't have rubber timing belt.
I like the Pathfinder's appearance and the boxy design gives more headroom inside. I read that it earned high ratings from both the NHTSA and IIHS, particularly in the "small overlap front" crash test. Which would come in handy since that Porsche in your video blew a red light and almost caused an accident.
They should’ve compared the platinum. I have a new 2024 platinum pathfinder, my bro has a lower end pilot. Both cars are great and remarkably similar. The platinum pathfinder is amazing interior wise though. For the price there is no 3 row as decked out as the platinum pathfinder. The drive is also great and just as good as the pilot.
Probably platinum is the most expensive trim that's why they didn't compare it as Trail Sport is not the higher level trim, Honda has Elite version for this.
The 6k towing is a huge selling point for me. Who needs a truck when I can pull a trailer? Wondering if the 2025 will offer a larger entertainment screen.
Nissan for the win. Back in the day the pathfinder was a truck every one wanted. They weren’t called suv’s yet back then notorious big talked about one in one of his raps🎉 “that pathfinder truck”
@@ginomarchetti5153 no issues so far. I tow around a 23ft camper with it as well and ive taken it off road with it connected. Ive not noticed any issues off road. Ive been up and down steep passes.
I have had both Honda's and Nissans in the past. I prefer Nissan over driving dynamics when it comes to Pathfinder, frontier, Armada. On smaller cars, Civic, Accord, CRV(older ones) would be my choice. If Maintained properly, Nissans can outlast Honda's.
Honda AWD is superior. It can send 70% of the power to each wheel on the back. When turning the system actively send power to the outside rear wheel to reduce understeer. Is an AWD that is constantly watching your back reacts faster than others. Many TH-cam reviewers confirmed these claims in their tests.
I just purchased a 2025 Honda Pilot Touring. I cannot say enough on how awesome its built. If its more expensive their is a reason behind it. I would never buy a nissan again, too many Problems specially with sensors. I made my desition in a heartbeat. Necer disappointed wirh Honda.
well, Im just looking to buy one of them so I checked the pricing In Airdrie, AB. Pilot here probably nothing under 60.000$ but more like 65, Nissan Rock Creek is after discount would be 55.000$ or if I buy a pathfinder SV it is 52.000$
I’m in the market for a 3-row midsize SUV. Only requirement: V6. We drove a Pathfinder, Telluride, and Pilot. We drove the Pathfinder first and liked it. The salesman told us we’d be back because the interior of the Telluride sucks and the Pilot rides rough. WRONG! The interior of the Telluride was leaps & bounds superior, and the Pilot rode WAY nicer than the Pathfinder. Literally the only thing better on the Pathfinder is the steering feel. Otherwise, it can’t even sniff the competition’s underpants.
Why telluride over palisade? I’m in market and liked the palisade but I just started and haven’t driven telluride, pilot, or pathfinder yet. I also like the new traverse but probably gonna stay away since it’s a 4 cylinder.
I think the biggest difference is a rock creek vs trailsport or prox is like a 10-12k price difference. Nissan giving crazy rebates and can get a rock creek for 40k
@@Notsostrongman375 it isnt weird, you are weird making up stories in the chat. I drove the Palisade, it takes turns like a big old MTA bus. Anyone who actually owns one knows that isn't exactly a strong suit. No one cares if you enjoy driving it or not.
Bought a 2023 trail sport diffused sky blue pearl 💙 awesome vehicle. Love the ten speed auto. Wanted something that was dependable and good looking, sorry pathfinder, it's just not it, that's a bet, lol. Did a ton of research, and overall, the honda was a better choice. Awd system is the best out of the mid 7 row, and I believe it's still is. So, gents trade that nissan in, quick.
@upyours999999 then it will get fixed💁🏽 and I didn't say i was a fan of honda. Did the research and the nissan Pathfinder fail every expectation i desired in a vehicle. It was sad, like your comment. Plus, I love nissans. Have a boosted g37 coupe, and it's amazing.

One reason why Im even thinking of the Pathfinder is AC Vents in the rear seats is on the ceiling and I have two rear facing kiddos.

How does it perform off road?......we bought a Nissan Ariya for my wife this year, now considering a Rock Creek for me

Pathfinder all day. Timing chain (vs belt). Funner to drive. 😂
Nissan Pathfinder is best❤❤❤❤
Resell value: Honda Trailsport is the ✅️ choice, but if keeping it for the linehaul, I'd prefer Nissan Pathfinder.
Nissan all day
Hello
Is it a good option to rent a 7-person car for 4 people and four suitcases?
We plan to use the car with the last seats folded down.
thanks!
Pathfinder
Nissan pathfinder 👍
Please! Ben, raise the camera one inch.
I owned a Nissan Altima, it was a beautiful car. Never had any issues until 120k miles. I had to change the AC compressor at that time that’s about it
My Choice Pathfinder love this car

Even with CVT?
@@AAG981 yes even with cvt. CVT requires fluid change every 30k miles
No more CVT on the Pathfinder
At the end of the day. Honda probably has the better AWD system. Waiting on someone to put them on rollers and let’s see what the AWD system can do.
Honda AWD is superior.
It can send 70% of the power to each wheel on the back.
When turning the system actively send power to the outside rear wheel to reduce understeer.
Is an AWD that is constantly watching your back reacts faster than others.

But Pathfinder drives and corners better with less body roll
Pathfinder SL premium
If that Pathfinder has a sunroof the price might be about the same.
They’re both good trucks. 💯💯💯💯💯💯
It does have one, for some reason he is comparing the off road version with the city pilot
That pilot trailsport is the offroad version of it.

None of those too much electronics, but I will go with Honda
Pathfinder looks great

Probably
Honda by light years
PATHFINDER WINNS!
Whats everyones opinion on if you are going to lease one, Pathfinder or Pilot?

I'm in the same boat, but oddly enough enjoyed the inside of the Rock Creek better than the top model Telluride. Have you made a final decision?
@@Rebecca-pd3lr not yet. It’s down to the Pilot and Telluride. I think it’ll come down to what I can get a better deal on.

Honda Pilot trailsport, what is the contest exactly?
Seriously where is it?
Um they are in the same class and pretty much have all the same features, that’s the competition? Are you slow ?
Are these really 2025?
Thanks.
I think I would rather have the Pathfinder.

Nissan Pathfinder all day long
Honda has a lifetime warranty on the original buyer for the engine and big stuff.
Nissan Pathfinder!!! 💯
I’ve heard the pathfinder uses a ton of cheap plastic..
Honda Pilot 💯.
Been burned by Nissan in the past.
What happened?
I am not sure why anyone buys a Nissan. They excel at nothing.
I know it’s subjective however, the Nissan looks better on the exterior.
It’s called a choice.
Nissans are actually good, it is just that they need to get rid of their CVTs. I think they already stopped using CVTs in Pathfinders.
