This is one of the best uses of a hurricanrana. Because it’s such an unrealistic move, it shouldn’t be used as a bump, but just a way to reposition your opponent and get them off balance.
That's why Rey stands out, he does high risk flippy moves but it always looked like he's using it to attack and not just to show flashy moves. Everything he does makes sense
This was such a DOPE spot. Really wish in 1999, WCW changed up and let the Cruiserweights fight some oof the Heavyweights... Like Sting or Bret Hart... vs Rey, or Juvi... or Kidman, would have been nuts.
@@jonathanturbide2232 nah those matches were presented as giant killing matches. Rey vs Sting (Wolfpac or Back In Black Era) or Bret’s reign of terror era, would have been great
OMG he slapped the piss out of him😂 man you see how pissed off he was also make me laugh like hell I never seen no one gets slapped that bad I do love Rey Mysterio he's fast as heck too🎉
Man, idc if they say we're in a new "golden age" of wrestling, the physicality of wrestling from the early to mid 2000s era was just flat out better. It's so soft now days
That last move, wtf not human
For real tho
The craziest thing is I saw Jacob Fatu do that move at his size.
Average AEW move 🥱
Arabian press moonsault
I thought the same he was fckn incredible
Before this match Kurt promo "You're boy in a man's world"
“And I’m a man who loves to play with boys” 😂😂

Kurt Angle's wrestling gear looking like popcorn theater 😂

Dom wouldn’t stand a chance against this version of Rey
Of course not, he was just a kid back then lol
dom is a disgrace
@@Segwo you thought you ate
I totally agree
@@Jason-wq9wdyour parents said the same thing about you
I love the fact that Kurt Angle said that this candy cane singlet was his favorite. It’s great
It is a top tier fit. He looks like a character from Rival Schools
😂
He looks like a walking popcorn bucket

😢
Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle had an underrated rivalry.
These two have such great chemistry I think they would've been a great tag team
They would have been the Mexican-American team or the North American team + 1 Canadian.

Kurt Angle was phenomenal. Great matches. What a time early to late 00s wwe was
การแสดงครับผม
Already rewatched this clip 4 times. What an amazing way to start a match. Such a great sequence, selling, acting, pacing, everything. 10/10
I remember this match like it was yesterday 😊 I miss those days 😔
😮😮😮 *What the hell Mysterio got stuck in the Matrix with that mid air move!* 😂
These two might have had the best opening match in Summerslam history, in 2002. 😀
Beide sind verdammt gut aber Rey Mysterio ist ein absoluter Hammer . Was für eine Mega Show. I like it and I love it 😊
И это может доставлять удовольствие!?
On Earth-619 , this match also occurred in the late 90s on Monday Night Nitro
I'm glad I grew up in an era where WWE was just about pure talent.
one my favorite matches of all time... and definitely one of reys
These two always had great matches
Great achievement by two of them 😂😂😂
He made him look like an idiot 😂😂

In 99 Rey fought plenty of heavyweights, like Nash and Luger. It's when he was unmasked and started wrestling outside of the division.
1999 rey masterio was nothing to mess with

MYSTERIO, WHEN WERE IN THE RING, IM GONNA GET ON TOP OF YOU, DOGGY STYLE!!!!!!

Brother got moves!!!! Phenomenal wrestling!!! 🤜🏻🤛🏻... Respect Rey!!!!
These two were so good together in the ring. Their match at Summerslam 2002 was especially good.
Con esta máscara y este vestuario, se ve muy bien Rey Misterio.
What a sequence!
The distance between speed and skill captivates the audience
Lots of good moves there. The boys have really really been training hard.
That slap was personal. And the last move was awesome
I wish they never got rid of the scratch logo looks so much cleaner than the network logo
Hysterical showmanship!
Brutales esos movimientos que hace Rey
OMG he slapped the piss out of him😂 man you see how pissed off he was also make me laugh like hell I never seen no one gets slapped that bad I do love Rey Mysterio he's fast as heck too🎉
I’m a have to rewatch this match. Looks like an absolute classic.
That's just phenomenonal , I imagine there's nothing better than having a great dance partner , can really bring the best performance out you.
That spring board second rope moonsault thing was insane!
Bro was selling the moves ❤❤❤ it was epic
Rey one of my all time favs since seeing him on WCW in the 90s as a teen
Not gonna lie, i think Rey Mysterio has always been the ultimate underdog in WWE.
That’s not wrestling from Ray… that’s pure art
Well rehearsed, well played. The flip was jaw dropping
I don't what you'd call that last move but that is so amazing to watch. Rey is definetely top 5 luchas of all time.
Olympic gold medalist helping a 100lbs human to get a pop.
😂😂😂 Ray is hilarious 😂😂
How is Kurt Angle only just wrestling in WWE here for just THREE years?!?! Damn his acceleration to the top will never be duplicated.
Rey is a legend
Love watching Rey going full Bugs Bunny. They should've let him do it more often
The in ring performance and story telling was on another level back then
The back flip after jumping off from the corner, how did he do that? Just amazing wow so unreal 😮🎉
Back when wrestling was exciting for most of the world 😮❤
Funny, he lets him run in front of him and he runs behind him slowly, we don't believe this trick😂
Daym Rey you smacked the taste off kurt's lips
I saw it fly right out his mouth
Rays speed was awesome 👌
debió doler esa cachetada al luchador rival... cómo para corretear a rey misterio, se ve que le dolió mucho.. muy buena pelea dieron los dos.
Rey Mysterio is so clever in his fighting style
That singlet always made me think Kurt looked like an oldschool bag of movie popcorn.
Prime Mysterio was unreal🔥
،you need to fight with both brain and muscles.
Rey Mysterio is one of my favorite wrestlers
That Mount Rushmore needs to add Ray
Angle had a legendary career too, but Ray is still alive and well influencing & entertaining
It's only a stage show for products' commercials Not really a professional wrestling.
Браво! Такой красоты я ещё не видела.
Kurt & rey chemistry was one of the best...
Rey don't do much damage but jukes and kicks skills. It's so good
"You're a boy in a mans world. And I'm a man the loves to play with boys..... WAIT WAIT A MINUTE!" 😂😂😂
I have been looking for that last move Rey did for a long time. It was astonishing
Bro that flip at the end 😂
That was a beautiful showing of choreography.. superb 🤌🏽
The babysteps running! These are 2 masters of the art!😂
Damn Rey that move was so nasty 🔥
Last move is so sweet 😅😅😂❤
Какие-то виртуозное мастерство!!!
Ray in his prime was beautiful to watch
When working with Mysterio, I noticed that you have to hurt yourself most of the time😂
Prime Kurt and Rey, those were the days.
And now, Dragon lee and chad gable have a rivality like this... Wow Triple History is a genius
Kurt Angle is a wrestling machine

And just think everyone, this match was on SmackDown….

That was a legendary Three Stooges slap , IYKYK YEET
Legend has it Ray had to rewrite the laws of physics for that last move
Rey is the greatest high flyer of all time. People nowadays have no idea how to do it right.
Rey Mysterio was technical as hell woooow 😮❤
