Actually he is breaking the law on VLOS as he can't visually see the orientation of the drone infact i would be surprised if he could even see the mini 3 from that far away. Clearly he was at least 150+ mtrs away making VLOS impossible legally with a mini 3 pro even with 20/20 vision Sry DJ. But you know the law on VLOS now its been clarified by the CAA on orientation without any visual aids including lights etc.

@@johnlangfield3532 Why would they, I'm also a drone pilot and that airspace is clear for that class of drone up to 400ft, I also know DJ uses the same apps and knows his height limits, he even registered the flight with the CAA, the Heliport didn't issue a notam so the airspace is clear.

In all my years of studying aviation and looking at Sectional VFR charts, I have never heard of a private company owning the airspace. Might be different in the UK, but when I was training for my CPL in Florida, all private airfields were classed as class E airspace (Uncontrolled)

Watched many audits on TH-cam, what appears to be common behaviour is the superiority projection of folk who work at high profile event locations or film crews who bark out orders. Just because they might get a glimpse of a sports star or ‘VIP’ at times, they talk down to people who they don’t think are of any importance. A good example is random outing audits at Newcastle Utd the other day. Well done DJ.
Well said. And absolutely true. It's the same when you see a film set. They ALWAYS overstep their bounds there, too. If they see you filming they'll tell you that you can't even if you're in public. They're just so, so important, you see.
Another good example is a video in my city Bradford, by a channel I can't remember, in a location I can't remember, sometime in the last 5 years (I lose track of time, so it could be more recent than I think), where a film crew was filming something. My memory tells me the video was filmed on either Thornton Road or Sunbridge Road, yet that seems unlikely as hardly anything has filmed there, so it was more likely somewhere in Little Germany, or the Bolton Road/Holdsworth Road area around Napoleons Casino. What did it involve? It involved someone from the film crew (who I seem to remember was something like a production manager) trying to stop a photographer from Bradford's Telegraph & Argus newspaper taking photos in a public place. The "production manager" then grabbed the photographers camera and tried to take it off him, when the photographer refused to listen to the "production managers" orders. The English Game (2020) seems to be the most likely production, if my memory of the location is correct. However if my memory of the location is incorrect, then it will be something like: All Creatures Great and Small (2020-present), The Crown (2016-2023), Gentleman Jack (2019-2022), Peaky Blinders (2013-2022), The Duke (2020), Downton Abbey (2019), Victoria (2016-2019), The ABC Murders (2018) etc. Basically the main thing I can remember about that photographer attack video is that they were filming a period drama.

Great Video, I been there many times over the years for the Silverstone Classic cars and racing, we used to display right besides the trees by the bridge, amazing to see it from above, a viewpoint that we are rarely privelaged enough to see!

That helicopter you zoomed in on belongs to Lawrence stroll, the owner of Aston Martin road cars and the formula one team. The tail number is T7-LSS, you can go check it out. The Aston Martin F1 team are based right near Silverstone so it makes sense why it was there.

I worked 5 days at Silverstone via an agency about 10 years ago, all the staff actually employed by Silverstone are ignorant so and so's wasn't a pleasant experience like it should have been.
To be fair Specialist Radio Equipment does exist , It could disable a drone Via interrupting the signal .It is a possibility ,not taking sides,I love your videos ,especially when their clueless on the law ! as always ,very good video

Whilst the main gate barrier is open it is linking the highway into the circuit therefore it becomes public land. Can’t obviously just walk in but it is a grey area where it does actually become a public area. Someone has actually been convicted of drink driving in the circuit based on this theory.
I know it's not drones but I had something recently on the ground with wanting to take photography of my car in a carpark in Manchester recently. I was stopped by security as he said it's a private carpark and if I take photos it's invasion of privacy of cars, people and people in nearby balconies and would call the police. I tried arguing where is the proof I can not take pictures but said it would take up to much time to sort paperwork. I didn't have the time to wait all day so left. But is this true? Or should I of just taken my pictures as there is no law for what he said? Id love to have something printed out with me next time

In the drone code there is a clause about Byelaws which says: "Byelaws may restrict when you can fly and where you can fly from. Look out for local signs for information and contact details where you can find out more. Byelaws are unlikely to be shown on apps or drone websites." So they had a sign that says no drones in this area. Does this sign qualifies as a byelaw ?
Bye laws have specific signage that states what the Byelaw is and who is enforcing it. I believe it should also state the overriding act that the byelaw is made under. Whilst some private companies can make byelaws, they are usually made by local councils or the MOD on military land. There is a heliport at Silverstone which may have a no fly zone around it. Two drone pilots were arrested back in 2019 after flying their drones near the day before the F1 race, but I can't find out if it led to any prosecution.
@@three-phase562 some byelaws are available online on the government website and not on signage with the specifics,as you mentioned mod etc. One had a no flying below 500ft. I've come across a few and still written in ye olde english lol.
I'm a little disappointed that you didn't go back and tell them that their drone disabling equipment is faulty and needs to be fixed.

I went to Silverstone last year to watch MotoGP. It's a really big place and so cool. The grandstands are real nice and give a great view
They tried to bully you out of your rites but once again Dj you made them look stupid as they were well done , great shots of the circuit
Shame you could not get round the other side of the track
Whilst the main gate barrier is open it is linking the highway into the circuit therefore it becomes public land. Can’t obviously just walk in but it is a grey area where it does actually become a public area. Someone has actually been convicted of drink driving in the circuit based on this theory.
It’s such a shame you couldn’t wait for the drone destroyer equipment!!

I know it's not drones but I had something recently on the ground with wanting to take photography of my car in a carpark in Manchester recently. I was stopped by security as he said it's a private carpark and if I take photos it's invasion of privacy of cars, people and people in nearby balconies and would call the police. I tried arguing where is the proof I can not take pictures but said it would take up to much time to sort paperwork. I didn't have the time to wait all day so left. But is this true? Or should I of just taken my pictures as there is no law for what he said? Id love to have something printed out with me next time

In the drone code there is a clause about Byelaws which says: "Byelaws may restrict when you can fly and where you can fly from. Look out for local signs for information and contact details where you can find out more. Byelaws are unlikely to be shown on apps or drone websites." So they had a sign that says no drones in this area. Does this sign qualifies as a byelaw ?
And if so, does that mean no drones can fly over their land ? DJ, great video by the way!
Some byelaws do have a no flying below a certain height which will apply to drones too..
Bye laws have specific signage that states what the Byelaw is and who is enforcing it. I believe it should also state the overriding act that the byelaw is made under.
Whilst some private companies can make byelaws, they are usually made by local councils or the MOD on military land.
There is a heliport at Silverstone which may have a no fly zone around it. Two drone pilots were arrested back in 2019 after flying their drones near the day before the F1 race, but I can't find out if it led to any prosecution.
@@three-phase562 some byelaws are available online on the government website and not on signage with the specifics,as you mentioned mod etc. One had a no flying below 500ft. I've come across a few and still written in ye olde english lol.
I wonder if leaving the key ring there counts as fly tipping ?

So they have a Radio Communication licence from Ofcom for the deliberate jamming of 2.400-2.4835 GHz and 5.725-5.850 GHz frequency bands do they?
I flew over Silverstone in a light aircraft at about 1500'. No permission was sought. None needed. It's obvious. Took plenty of photos too.
