- Today we take a look at Roger Bullivant Limited, RB Walton Park, Hearthcote Road, Swadlincote DE11 9DU.
We speak to security who spot us filming from the public footpath who ask us to inform reception which we did.
On the way back to the public footpath we are called back and spoken to by Tim who asks us not to fly the drone over.
We show him the Drone Code and try to reassure him that it's all legal but we fail to agree.
After flying the drone, Tim comes out to speak to us again and informs us that the Police have been called.
He asks us to wait so we use this time to highlight the Illegal Number Plate, Obstruction of the Footpath, No Number Plate On Display on a Trailer, GDPR Issue by not providing a method to make Subject Access Request.
Just before we leave, Megan from Marketing comes out to try and save the day.

Hope Tim has done a risk assessment on every plane that flies over. A 777 is going to mess up his yard a hell of a lot more than a 249g drone if it comes down.
A 777 weighs about 350 tonnes!

Oh god! He was just like my mates Dad when we were 18. He was a Risk Assessor and he would give us all a hour talk before going out on the piss. He would even check out the pubs the day before and check where the fire exits were etc.
Gave us all little maps too and tested us on different scenarios. Good old Mr. Brakey! He died from a stroke in the end.

What I find most interesting is the types of people you come across - This work is so important - not just for auiting, but for a snapshot of the British personality. These videos will only get better with age and as society naturally evolves.

Great video, no point arguing with an HSE "advisor" I know after many years we had 3 electricians to change a lightbulb 🤣😂
Wonder why everyone hates (HSE advisors) and the odd worker who spends a day quoting HSE and possible scenarios just to avoid a half-hour job he hates, All of the ones I worked with demanded extreme adherence to the rules (often made up by them) Until of course management want work done in a hurry.
Usually, they come from backgrounds where they were the worst at considering risk, but once they get in a position of POWER, like the police they also make things up to fit their narrative (both to stop, and ironically continue work)
I find it interesting to observe how people with "authority" behave, when they think they are "winning" vs when they start to realise that they are wrong and do not have the authority they think they have.
Megan was borderline passive aggressive , but just managed to keep it on the civil side.

These buildings and things you come across are genuinely interesting, ive watched many of the videos, the reactions of the senior people does let the company down, they don't like not being in charge at all, a big building full of people obeying them then faced with a member of the public interested in there company that doesn't obey them, speaks volumes really.
Something tells me there isn't a risk assessment sitting in a drawer for other aircraft or even birds flying overhead. Sending the marketing student out has to be a new one though.

I remember working in uk industry as an health and safety inspector. It’s all about removing the full liability from a company. They are all scared to death and believe they are in the right. It’s a sad world nowadays .glad I am out of this madness now.

Mr Risk Assessment, inspecting the toilets every morning in case the cleaner has put the toilet rolls on the wrong way.
Whenever you state something that is factual or just correct, they often come back with "that's your point of view" like there is no right and wrong, but when they say something they would prefer to happen they treat their own preference as a rule you should abide by.
