Does that mean we need to submit photocopies of all the documents like Online application form, Annexures etc?

Hi, how long is the ARN number generated valid for? Does ARN number expire? I have filled application on Goverment site on 3rd december and today is 19th december, I am planning to send documents now, will the ARN number still be valid or do I need to fill Government form again?

What address should i fill in Annexure E and "Change In apperance form" ? Indian address or current USA address where we are staying ? Kindly clarify
We applied to renew their passports from the Indian Embassy through VFS with our US address. During application, they asked us for one Indian address outside the US, so we provided my parents' address in India. Now that my parents are here in the US, we received an email from the Indian Embassy informing us that they issued a Police Verification Request to Indian Police near their home in India.
Is this the normal procedure?
Will the police check our parents' house to see if our kids reside there? That is not the case because they reside here, which is why we are renewing passports here...

in the VFS site, when addiing a new customer, should i mention the name under "First name" itself or break the given name into first name and middle name. for eg, ram raj mohan , mohan is the last name, " ram raj "should be mentioned in first name field (or) " ram " in the first name and "raj" in the middle name ?
Mention as it is in your Indian passport.. given name = first name , surname = last name

thank you so much Suja. you made my day, this video helped me when for my son's passport renewal. after reaching the embassy(SFO) for the normal process. do you know how many days the embassy to process and send a new passport? this is my son's second passport in USA (we got expiring passport from SFO)
It should take 4 weeks, since it’s second time renewal in USA it should a bit fast

On clicking download courier label we get 2 labels (1 for sending to them and other label is for them to send to us). Do we need to keep the other label to send to us printed and placed inside the package or we need not send that at all? I was confused on why they are providing return labels to us

My question is, in Affidavit for Change in Appearance - Can I select " No change.".is it allowed? last passport was renewed when she was 5.. Also under Tatkal Eligibility criteria list, It says cannot apply if there is "Change of Appearance(minors can apply)". So does that mean Minors can apply in Tatkaal even if there is an appearance change? Thanks

Hey, I just have a question on the part where it says Indian adress proof [if applicant wants to add / change Indian adress] where the requirment stuff like adhar card / recent bank statement / deiver license has to minor's or it can be done using parent adhar card and other parent legal documents? Also, where it asks parent legal status documents requirment it asks both parents passport copies is it like same as the minor like first five pages and last 2 pages ? Or just first 2 and last 2 pages? And last question for other parents document can it has to be both parents or it can be done using one parent legal documents for example in fields like proof of adress in USA/ India ? Is it necessary to notarize the Aadhar card copy for change of Indian address to be printed in the to be renewed passport? as we have changed the residence in India and use it when ever we visit.

Repeating the questions: 1. Checklist says Envelope should be superscribed as "RE-ISSUANCE OF PASSPORT", what does that mean ?
2. Checklist says: Both parents must sign on page 4 of the online application form below the minor's thumb impression" but there is no space for thumb impression on page 4, thumb impression is on page 1 and 5, so much confusing
3. At few places its written to provide color - copy, like visa/i797 etc. is that true ?
4. in self attest docs, do we need to sign and provide date or only sign is enough ?
5. Do we need to notarize each page of a document? like if passport has 3 pages, need to notarize all or its one page per doc ?

2)may be you have printed with bigger font . Take thumb impression on page 1 and 5 . And parents sign on page 5 below thumb impression

Hi , I have submitted the application to VFS. I got reply saying my Applicants name is not matching existing passport. I realize that I missed middle name. How to go ahead with this? I can not update existing application and if I create new application then ARN number will be mismatch between old and new application.
You have to create new application and sent it to vfs . Don’t worthy about arn number, they will handle it .

Hello Suja!! Thanks much for your video... it helped a lot while filling the application form.... I did a mistake in the application form and found it while giving the application form print out. I had given wrong location for the issue of previous passport details.... it should be in US I had given India location. With that ARN when i logged in it is just giving options for print and track application status. Is there any chance to edit the application form? And one more question... we have to send first and last pages of parents passport photo copy with self attestation you ment right? Quick reply is much appreciated. Thanks a ton.
Once submitted you can not edit the application ... you have redo the application from first..

If you done with payment then you have to fill for refund and start new application.. or if you Need to proceed with the same , am not sure will vfs accept it . Since place of issue will be present in your passport

Hey, I am so sorry to bother you again and again but for the document of mandatory sworn affidavit for Indian adress are we supposed to write it with blue pen or can use a highlighter to select which ever section applies to me. ?
2) for parts on the signature where it says dependent / applicant signature meaning minor signature and both parents signatures are required or only minors?
3) in affidavit change in appearance form I see that minor has to mandatory sign it but does the parent also has to sign it and can be one or it has to be both parents?
4) if you could can you please just explain me like which forms need both parent and minor signs and which forms need only minor sign cuz I am getting bit confused.
5) for annexure E form are you supposed to write the answers for 2 to 9 or just highlight the part which applies to you ?
6) in both annexure D and E besides the signature there is an blank space for place what does that mean the place I am currently staying at for example like city/ state or something like that?

My father and I came to USA in 2018. He dropped me off and went back to India. He holds a valid green card but since my mother did not ever came to US, she does not have a green card. I applied as a minor and VFS required copies of parent green card but what will I submit if my mother does not have a green card at all? Thanks.
You can say they are not in USA .. they are asking green card as a legal status of parents in USA . Since your parents are not in US you can mention the same

It’s a personal choice .. there is no best practice in it I guess

yes you can use same vfs account . but while sending package ,it should be one application per package
