I also got this issue when Vertical scroll bar does not display the complete page and Final Submit Button becomes inaccessible. The Solution to this issue is, Zoom out the page by pressing CTRL and - (Minus) button. This will make page display to 80%, which will enable the display of Final Submit button.

If my my passport runs into two pages - can I staple the pages or instead should I label the pages and explicitly write by hand “my current passport?” If not staples, can we use paper clips? Of course, I will self-attest all the mandatory documents. The photos also don’t have to be affixed to digital application, right? Can they just simply be sent with the application? Please clarify exactly how this is done. This is not specified anywhere. Again, I won’t staple the entire stack but can individual documents that run into more than one page - be stapled or labeled as for what it is? The digital application has 7 pages. In the video you say to provide the Marriage Registration Number instead of Marriage Registration Date, but looks like you put in the date and looks like the form only accepts a date as well and not a number.

Hi Suja, whenever they ask for the applicant's name, (eg in the consent letter), do we write the surname first as shown in the USA Driving license or the USA Passport or is it the first name followed by the last name?
Hello! Attention US CITIZENS only! If you are a US citizen by birth or naturalization, and your name has been changed; you don't need to provide a name change affidavit when you apply for OCI. You only need to submit a copy of the court order issuing the name change Hope this helps anyone with this question.☺
Thank you Suja, I just submitted my docs today. Govt. website form says that you have to self attest all the photocopies. And Dcoument checklist from VFS doesnt mention that. I self attested all the copies just to be on a safe side...

Can't thank you enough for this video. I got stuck trying to pay at the VFS site and wanted to make sure the ARN number was right. They call it file reference number(on PDF of application), government reference number and application reference number on emails. SO confusing and annoying. Call it one name for heaven's sake. Your video walked me through the treacherous applicaiton process. Thanks! I was stalled on this application which has taken the better part of 2 months. You almost have to do it in one sitting because you forget how to navigate through the convoluted process if you wait 1-2 weeks.

Great video! One quick question. I understand that the original US passport does not need to be mailed in with the application materials, only a copy of the information pages. But does the original US passport have to be sent to VFS or the consulate at any time later in the process? Some online sources seem to suggest you have to send the original US passport towards the end of the process for confirmation/validation. This will be important for timing the application with other international travel I have to do in the months following submitting the application. Thanks for any guidance.

I do not think it should apply to someone who has become US citizen and changed the name in the process of becoming US citizen by naturalization because he is not applying for Indian passport renewal. Instead he might be applying for OCI card only. I think he will just need court order.

Do I need Surrender or Renunciation certificate since my Indian passport already has stamp stating " Cancelled Acquired US Citizenship" dated November 02, 2001. I want to apply for new OCI.

Hi Suja, your link for name change affidavit video is named for indian passport renewal. I do not think it should apply to someone who has become US citizen and changed the name in the process of becoming US citizen by naturalization because he is not applying for Indian passport renewal. Instead he might be applying for OCI card only. I think he will just need court order.

In step2 government application they asking in very begaining applicants information. Should I fill that according my Indian passport or usa passport because my
last name is different in usa passport
My indian passport didn’t had my parents surname along with their names
But now i want to add their surname on my oci
