I completely agree with the point on infotainment systems on some of the newer cars. It is just silly when car manufacturers bury the functions deep within the menus. Surely it can be made more intuitive. 🤷

Seen other reviews of the X7, and this one is the best. I think the colour of the vehicle contributed as well, looks really sick! The front headlights give a strong Jaguar feel, but I gotta say BMW did it better. Amazing job Rory and Alex, greetings from Prague.

The cluttered touchscreen aircon/heating submenu system is awful and confusing and extremely dangerous if operated while driving. The solution for this dilemma is having a rotating physical knob on the touchscreen graphics display which you can turn using an actual physical knob situated somewhere else within the driver/passenger’s reach. Also there should be another rotating physical knob with quick access to aircon and other settings. This again will be connected to the graphic display. This system will cure this dangerous and irritating/confusing system of submenus for quick needed settings. Automobile Interior and industrial designers take note. You’re Welcome. Not to brag, but I thought about the hot/cold drinks holder years ago. Happy to see it in action.
News for you Alex unless you are a farmer or living in the Australian outbacks all SUVs are a fashion statement! In which case just get the brashest there is, get the X7! 🤪
I just ordered my 2025 a week ago. The main reason I’m buying it is because I have another kid on the way and i already have 2 kids. Very excited about it
Great review. Have to admit the X7 is a spaceship, X5 it simply a better choice. We have an M50 and it has a plenty of power when needed and comfotable ride quality for everyday driving
Why buy an X5 and not a 5 series, handles worse, slower than a 5 series with same engine, worse on fuel, not really much more useable space, I don't get the appeal?
@@redline589 as much as I love the 5 series, with kids and at times offroad driving (not that it has really that much capability when it come to that) - one is better off with X5.
I gotta do more research on lux cars bc when I saw the new M5 cs dog walk a hellcat charger in a drag race and in a roll race I was like BMW has to be fugging numbers and they CLEARLY was. I wanna say the CS was listed at 500+ horses but it’s more like 700+

If you compare it to an X5 maybe it does not make a lot of sense. But if you compare it with a Range Rover, X7 can look like a very good option. It's all about what you are looking for. Myself, I would love the space...
......Probably would be a good idea to get to know the car before you review it, if that what this was. I'm no BMW fan, not one bit, but I got the 2020 version M50i for my wife on offer, and despite being an enthusiast car guy, after driving this thing on a road trip, for once I felt that probably that's all the car one can need. And no, you do need X7 sized cars, particularly when you got a big family, do family road trips, and haul around lots of groceries and stuff. It's an all-in-one whether you like such cars or not, and the strange part is, it drives like a small 5 seater the way it's made, particularly with that over-the-top camera and parking system.
I love my X7 M50i. I don’t find it big at all compared to domestic full size SUV’s. It drives awesome and wants to cruise at 100mph. Very easy to drive aggressively and inspires confidence. When you need the extra space, it’s nice to have. There are things in the M60i that I don’t agree with. I hate the toggle gear selector. Bring back the shift lever with sport and manual shifting. Bring back the preset buttons and hvac controls. At least the temp buttons. Bring back the auto stop/start button. Bring back the exhaust note of the M50i which is more aggressive. Other than those things, it’s a fantastic vehicle but I’m staying with mine right now because I don’t think they will ever return.
Rory works best when there is another car guy around him. I like Rory in Top gear and i like Rory on Auto trader, but Rory with friends make it so much better.
Finally, real freinds coming together and shitting on each others opinions than just ur run off the mill top spec presenters to review a car. This is what we need.
Love the banter and fooling around as well as giving great info. However, I disliked the obvious bias Alex brought. He didn’t like it from the start and it affected his opinions throughout the video. Just because it doesn’t fit YOUR situation doesn’t make it a bad vehicle.

The X5 is the best looking SUV on the market ( maybe with the Purosangue from Ferrari) so the X7 will obviously looks extremely good too

I agree with ruairi in the m60 trim it looks quite hard-core (BTW loved the reiview)

My 2021 X5 45e has the same 0to60 as this m variant x7… my non m non even sport package 18inch rims x5 is as quick…I agree with Alex.

Agree with your observations and have to decide whether to turn my M50i lease in and get a new M60i or buy our my M50i 🤔
