    I'm testing the new Roborock S7 Robot Vacuum and Auto Empty dustbin - I think this might be the most advanced robot vacuum ever! I was really impressed by the fact that it can mop as well as auto empty.

My grand hallway is 800 sq.ft and I can mop that myself in like 20 minutes or less. My great room is another 800 sq.ft and that takes maybe 10 minutes to vacuum.

    I got my Roborock s7 one year after this video. Purchased from Amazon, with a limited time cupon. After tax, it was just under $422 dollars. As a disabled older gentleman, a robot vacuum keeps me from having to agitate my joints and arthritis. I have a robot kitty litter box as well. When you get older, spending a little money to not have to put up with inconvenience and triggering the pain in your feet, ankles, knees, etcetera… it’s worth it. It’s not trivial money spent.

    Just seeing this now cause I was looking up maintaince. I saw you and your sister had this robot at your Palm Springs rental. Supercool you did a video on it.
    I’ll say it’s fine without the trash can. Idk it could climb over the chairs, I wouldn’t want to make it. I still move around my chairs to give it a fighting chance. But overall I understand it gets “lost” less than other robots. I never had it get lost. I like it for the vacuum and mop at the same time. I have carpet rugs so it will map out and vacuum the carpet before going back to the woodfloor. I had the water tank leak on me, but Amazon replaced it.

    I have one of the first robovacs to come out and I like it, but I have 2 labs and the tiny dust bin has to be emptied every 5 mins. because of the hair. It also gets into all the moving parts and clogs them up requiring me to disassemble it and clean the whole thing out after about 3 uses. So I like the idea of the self cleaning but that just seems like something else I’ll have to get the hair out of. Thanks for the info though!!!

    • @Sun.n.Flowers
      @Sun.n.Flowers 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The dustbin for the S7 isn't too bad to get debris out of. I do have to shake it to get out from the corners of the bin or wash it with water and let it air-dry.
      I also always slap the filter against the trash to keep it clean.
      Some people have complained about the emptying bin because they don't provide a bagless version of the bin. The bagless version is only available in the UK, not the US. Therefore, when the bin sucks up all the dirt and debris, it goes into a bag. Someone on Amazon stated that the bags are a hassle and you can't see how full they are so may be wasting a whole bag and of course, in the long-term the bags can get pricey.
      * Many recommend the vaccum but some don't recommend the emptying dock. With dogs, I think it would be worth it, depending your budget.
      The vaccum is pretty helpful.
      They are soon releasing the S7 Max Ultra which has an auto emptying bin, a bin that will refill the water tank and many other features.

Can't find any video talking about how much the floors become streaky and looks like cloudy streaks all over Luxury Vinyl Floors and makes it look actually more dirty to the eye than the feel. I plan on reaching out and likely returning. Upsetting because all videos spoke nothing about this so I bought one for upstairs and downstairs and disappointed.

      From my understanding you just set it to go once and it’ll map automatically. Sure you could sweep it up in 30 seconds but generally the point in these is you set it to go when your out of the house at work or whatever and you come back to a clean house.
