I got a Roomba a couple of years ago when we put in all hardwood floors. Best investment I ever made. It scurries around the floor each night gathering all the cat hair and dust bunnies. And that dock that empties the dirt after cleaning is totally worth it.
Buy soft bumper foam!!! If you have a Roomba no matter the model your walls will get a black line on the wallboard with time. I didn’t noticed it for a year but there it is my entire house has a black line. And I have the most expensive model Roomba s9+
Here’s a trick your handyman does not want you to know. Magic erasers, clean baseboards, almost to the point where you never have to paint them. Including that black line from your Roomba.
Compressed air is a robot parent’s best friend. Little hand held ‘air dusters’ (no, not the cans) extend not only the life of filters but also get dust and fibers out of bearings before they dig in.
To me it's worth it to get the self emptying base for the robot. Because the one problem is since most vacuums are now bagless. I like having the clean base with a bag in it to collect dirt so you don't have to breathe in what you just vacuumed up. It's not about whether or not you can clean out the robot. It's whether or not if you want to breathe in the same stuff you just vacuumed up. In my opinion I don't feel like it's healthy. I use a aerosol can to clean up the HEPA filter and I do it outside so I don't breathe it in. What's nice with the iRobot clean base, you can tap the button that says empty base. So like if you get something that's clogged up or you want to empty out more dust out of robot before checking the internal part of it then you can actually do that.
always want to try one for the heck of it, our little used and visited family room has 8 by 4 persian carpets with out the tassle's and dont know it that would create problems
I have a question about curtains. Most interior designers recommend curtains that reach the floor but that will obviously come in the way of robo vacuum. So how to get a good look while also not having to move the curtains every time we start a vacuuming session? Also, is there any way to make corner cleaning easier because robo vacuums are not good at cleaning those
I have lots of hardwood and oriental rugs with fringe on the ends. How do robots handle rug fringe? Any tips to incorporate a robot into my home would be appreciated.
The persistent attempts of being humorous throughout this video comes out very cringy. Fortunately many of the suggestions are good enough to justify enduring it.
I wasn’t going to comment and he actually where was this video made? I’m in San Jose California and I work at a garbage facility that happens to be under a luxury apartment building so people are always moving in and out and someone threw out this and that same exact lamp that you used at 1:19
Don't but an iRobot self emptying vacuum if you don't have 2.4G. The app won't work. Most internets are 5g only now so it will be just a low end vacuum you can only hit button on top to start. No blocking areas or programming cleaning. The company didn't respond to my complaint except to offer trade in value. Seriously!
This is very true. However, I thought I saw an update that said they might be doing 5G now. Because when I just set mine up from Christmas, I didn’t realize that it was actually already hooked to my Internet and I hadn’t put my 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi in yet. Luckily I have a mesh system that does 2.4 and 5G. So maybe try again and see if there’s a update or something.
Great vacuum, Crappy app. Cant get it to connect to my WiFi even though we have several laptops, cell phones tv's and many other devices all connected. Rebooted router, shark and phone. It is a worthless app that does not work. They wont build a PC app so it was worthless. Took it back tp COSTCO for a refund. If I cant program it then its not worth anything to me.

use a seam ripper to snip long hair tangle around rollers, brushes, etc. (sewing section, $4)
This is brilliant! Thank you. I just ordered one.
I vacuum out the filter after each use. And recommend that you do too.
how often ?
@@woof3598 I do it every time after I use it.

I use a cheap regular vacuum cleaner to clean the dust bin. It’s a much cleaner and easier way to empty it.
I think this is helpful when deciding on buying one.
If you have all of these problems “you should probably”skip a robot vacuum! LOL

Tassles and fringe around carpets are definitely a problem with these guys.

That's funny. I'm in Los Angeles.
Why does one of the robot brushes keep falling off?
Have a Roomba I am ditching it because of the short batter life and no Lidar.
Amazing
Awesome video 🔥🔥👍
Ah man I thought I could have my robot vacuum clean up my creek
Ha ha

Remove loose carpet from the room.
Seems like less work in actually vacuuming but more work in maintenance and other stuff. Rather do it old school
It's like taking care of any vacuum cleaner, just a smaller capacity.
ok i will take care of my robot
Imagine that there are machine that can “see” objects like cords, footwear, socks and bypass them. Have you heard of them?
T 1000 “ I’ll be back”
You forgot to mention cleanup dog poo
Ugh
Or cat vomit.
How to empty cubi vaccuum
Funny man .. keep going
Roomba and Hoover are both BRANDS, not generic terms for vacuums.
Clicked on this video thinking somethig new ! but..

I don't use the app at all. It doesn't do anything useful.
Take off ur mobile date at all, and try to connect on wiffi.
this guy is trying so hard to infuse the video with gags, as if he's compensating for smth. can he just let it go and stop being so funny (not)?
sorry
lol well, whoever leaves an iron on is dumb lol.
