I don't think she tried to do that, there's many people I have met that used to get paid under the table... and then they learned that there's medical, taxes, and so forth. So some people just don't get it when they finally decide to read a check for once.

@@harryhanna8388 , "income and taxes" is always "shady", otherwise there wouldn't be tens of thousands of pages in the IRS tax code & situations where a multi-million/billion dollar company pays less in tax than it's "employees". Because "businesses" are in effect the backbone of the economy, they're afforded near everything as a "deduction". It's funny how companies were always pushing how it's as if they're doing you a favor "offering you a raise" whilst the company was "taking a hit in their wallet" but the fact is, employee wages are tax deductible to the business just as benefits are... Yet you try deducting your own contributions to paying for your health insurance and expenses and you find that you have to meet specific limits first which most aren't likely to meet without excessive costs you must incur. Yet someone else can "take your money" that you as a "net-contributing taxpayer (for those who are)" because they "procreated" and therefore receive the CTC, ACTC and EITC to the tune of thousands... That is in fact how millions of people not only do not "pay any tax" but receive back THOUSANDS they never paid in, simply because they're low to middle income with young, dependent children.

Exactly what I was thinking. If she didn’t know that her company was doing this she would’ve reacted WAY differently. You don’t just shrug off finding out your company is committing mass payroll fraud like that. The managers can’t just steal money out of someone’s check and pocket it themselves. It would have to be setup and done by the company itself with their bank accounts and their payroll company. It’s even like more telling that she immediately tries to excuse it by bringing up her husband having to deduct his workers pay. I hope she does jail time for that shit. Companies and bosses that steal their workers pay are the scum of the earth

Later on, Bad Business Practices were Exposed at Her Company.
The Employees could Have Had a CLASS ACTIONS LAWSUIT, against that Company.
I Don't Recalls, but there was a Follow-ups on that Business, and it was shown, that the Employees were DEFINITELY SHORTED, their Wages. Of which SHE WAS AWARE, & "Sort Of" Admitted.
I wish, that I recalled the Follow up Rebuttal Show/Disclosures.
      If I do Remember?
The Employees got back "SOME......." of Their Owed & EARNED WAGES. But, not All they were Owed, & had Earned.
IT SUXX! To know of these Types of Business Owners Practices!
      Those EMPLOYEES?
"THEY MAKE" HER, all of her monies!
      When Businesses do:
      DO FAIL to CARE FOR,
      Their Employees?
Then the Business usually starts Failing! Or Going DownHill, which in turn, does Affect the Customers!
So many Businesses and EVIL CORPORATIONS,
Fail to Recall, that their Employees AND THEIR CUSTOMER'S!
They are the Genuine Bottom Lines, for Mosts Businesses! Under Appreciated, etc.
May those that are & have been Hurt, by Such Companies, May they be Helped! AMEN!

That's how you reward people who make you money. I literally left and did not intend to open a business but two guys called me and said they would follow me to the edge of the earth. I started a competing business the next month. Within two months literally every single employee left our old boss and went all in with me. Once I saw how much money was coming in I couldn't believe it ... Old Boss paying guys $19HR and charging $55hr per man plus business costs and job costs... When you see 27k jobs in real money then realize it only cost 3k in payroll... You can't believe some of these numbers

There are honest caring employers but most only care about there profits because of stocks people want there stocks to go up and dividends. In the process it hurts workers. If you can't afford to pay a living wage you shouldn't be in business. The owners need to stop being greedy.

Forget the bar and you've got it right. I came very close to divorcing my husband when he worked at a company that went out drinking every Friday. We had a two year old and when he came home at 2:00 am one too many times, I saw a divorce lawyer. He found out and gave his notice. He'd forgotten where his priorities lay. Family first. He went into business for himself. It was tough at first, but he set the tone. Support your workers in being good family men and you're on the right path. Married 38 years.

@@draconicchaos It's her commission pay model! Whilst she obviously doesn't have the ability to monitor every employee's wage for the week her commission pay model has been structured to maximise revenue for her and, by definition, minimise revenue 'leakage' towards remuneration. The very fact that employees are being ripped off means that her model is allowing those interpretations by the payroll department. It's not a bug, it's a feature.
This show, Undercover Boss, is a giant marketing concept. The entire reason the CEOs are participating is because there are issues and I'll absolutely *BET* those issues have leaked to the public creating a PR nightmare. That's why they make these one-off gestures to a singled-out employee.
