In a world where so many employers just don't care, since they have a several foot thick stack of applications, seeing these employers connecting with and helping out their people is a ray of hope in an otherwise dreary world.

If you want your bar to be a party spot, you might as well be begging for party kids behind and in front of the counter. It amazes me that the CEO's are surprised to find out that more partying than working going on, and that when you fill a young male with alcohol and present him with a sexy woman, inappropriate things are said and done.

It's great to see companies that step up & do right by their employees, I just sometimes feel they tend to "miss the mark". The $10k that O'Neil employee received is no doubt of great benefit, but remember that this is L.A. where rents are through the roof. $10k is what, 3-5mos of rent at best? I feel such iniative & dedication should've been rewarded w/something a little more substantial like setting up a fund where excetional employees are rewarded w/a 2x1 stipend (for every $1 the employees "banks" the fund would add $2 to that acct.) towards furthering their education. I'm no accountant but pretty sure that the whole thing could be either tax deductible or receiving incentive credits, which would not only benefit the co. but it's worthwhile employess as well.

so... instead of paying a suitable salary for the position, the boss promotes one employee in front of the camera so he can pay his debt. What about all of the other employees in his old position? Hell, even the person who follows on the now free position still has to work sidejobs to survive? .. and noone sees a problem??

Alot of the things these bosses are doing for these people are things they could do for themselves if they could say they "have a good job". Living wages and universal healthcare would go a long way to end most of these ppls issues. You don't need to be on a TV show for that

    • @GromDarkwater

The thing is these people got that additional help because they went above and beyond. If you could live comfortably doing the bare minimum at work you would and so would everyone else and progress would halt. You get what you deserve and what you are worth not what some failed politicians decide you are worth.

It’s a shame that most companies don’t care about their employees or do anything when an employee finds themselves in a situation where they are in crisis and truly need help even though the company has resources that can help without causing any disruption to their bottom line.

If any of those men had daughters and you treated her the way they treat the wait staff they would have a massive issue with it and probably bash your head in so what give them the right to treat someones else daughter like that. I get what the show is promoting but then again majority of the workforce is about pleasing the customer only to line your General Manager pocket. They take away the employee of the month stuff and other things that some employees look forward to. Just recently i was hurt at work and i did not qualify for workers comp because i took a leave of absence since the doctor did not want to give me off he wanted me to be at work with tremendous pain and my job did not want to hear it since the doctor gave me a modified light duty work. I was out for a month and 2 weeks no pay. Not even my short term disability benefit was i able to collect. These jobs now are very different. And it only benefits the owners of the company. And all this for a favor i did for them on my day off. I told them to never call me again for a favor or ask me for anything that is not in my job description. I stopped going "Above and Beyond" cause its a joke.

I don't at all agree with the 1st on with Belfore. At 1:15 the CEO gives away his sole motivating concern for the employee. That the employee wouldn't be available to respond quickly, on the employee's own time off, for an emergency call. To be clear, the CEO is not paying the employee to be available in the off-hours from their day to day job and working hours, ie "wait time." The CEO is upping the employee's pay, in addition to upping responsibility. AND the CEO is still leaning on the employee's personal time for Belfore's emergency customer calls with the expectation that the employee drops everything they're doing in their personal life to take the emergency call. That's a dick move.
If Belfore wants to do something for the employee (and others), first off pay them what they're worth at all times. Not bumps later only when you realize on camera that an employee is doing great work. Second, establish an afterhours rotation where you pay employees to be available for afterhours calls. It's labor law 101. If you want an employee to be available, you have to pay them for it. It's called "wait time."

great editing stuff, great commentary, not trying to be funny where there is no need for it etc etc.
    Just one thing:
It seems to be about the money.
Every time an employee is rewarded, it is with cash basically.
Pathetic, if you think about it, since cash rolls out of printers which (which, not who, dipstick, sorry, i am dutch) are controlled by a certain few people.
And to see people in tears just because they are rewarded with 10 THOUSAND dollars (while politicians and such walk away with BILLIONS!!!!!. Or even TRILLIONS. Let me remind you: The day before the big event 22 years ago, a certain Donald spoke about how they were unable to trace 2.3 TRILLION!!!!! ((does anyone remember???? 2.3 TRILLION!!!!!)) dollars.
Luckily the event happened the day after he said it, else people would perhaps have noticed.
Who cares about 2.3 TRILLION dollars???
    Seems nobody does.
And so, we just let those crooks get away, and meanwhile we head towards WW3 asap.
To make sure the big restart (otherwise known as the G.... R....) will happen.
After all, the NY Times printed in 1940 (can give precise date if needed) , on page 10, that the n World order was pledged to ????
    Look it up.
Was it pledged to the Chinese?
    To the Muslims?
    The Buddhists?
    Hindoes?
    Christians?
Russians? (as in the Real Russians. Solzhenitsyn spoke about who took over power, and those were not Russians at all)
Who was it pledged to, this NWO?
The NY Times speaks about it in the 1940's, page 10,
    Small article, obviously.
Not like the frontpage in 1920 of Churchill.
Funny right, how propaganda works now a days and worked back then.
And yet we still think we defeated evil by bombing millions of Germans.

3:39 are you having a good time.
      "Guy said like: i'm horny"
      Yeah, sure, why not?
O wait, i am dressed a certain way.
Police officers wear uniforms, so they will be recognized as Police officers.
      Doctors do the same.
      Fire Fighters do the same.
SO guess what will happen if you dress a young LADY!!! as a hooker?
What will happen if you tell them to wear certain outfits?
OR, did they choose to wear those outfits?
      Did they?
Or was it the media, and how people at school treated them, etc etc?
What if there is this constant image of how a woman should be presented by the media and what not?
What if it only promotes this kind of outfit etc etc?
What if young girls are already indoctrinated with this nonsense?
Sure, the customer should not be the d bag. BUT: When will society say: Enough is enough?
Or is this how we should treat women?
      Same goes for Cheerleaders.
Sure, the horny came up with that idea.
But is that how people should treat other people????
Does that not cause problems in the long run?
Men who feel they can just do what ever they want, women suffering because they just do not have the physical strength to fight back?
I agree to what Muslims say. Better to hide the nice looking woman, and protect her from the horny animals.
