For any others wondering . I did it in my explorer 3.5 ecoboost temporarily. Doing the front was more subtle, you just about had to floor it to hear it. With both done it was a little obnoxious even being tuned on 93 octane the turbo sound is almost non existent so you just hear the" sneeze. "
Any worry about water getting in the open ports ? Puddles/ rain? I have a flex so its a little lower to the ground. Ill pill the trigger if its a non issue this is exactly how i want mine to sound
It does not make any affect on performance or fuel economy. Manufactures vent back into intake pipe to reduce noise and prevent possibly of any oil fumes to get in to atmosphe. Oil fuels - if turbo is leaking oil
@@blackgenesis7472 lol yeah, I got it from Amazon for about 14 bucks at the same time I ordered the lag caps and filters for the valve. Took me about 20 minutes to install both sets of filters and caps. Definitely love the sound and it does make a difference to do both

Any issues with check engine lights? What are the long term issues with allowing it to vent this way?
No, 13 and up EcoBoost engine are equipped with MAP sensors (not metered air like before) so it does not care if you do not recirculate air.
@@blackgenesis7472 really? i just bought a sho 2013 and was thinking of doing this
@@blackgenesis7472 so will a 2010 throw a code?
Your odometer dont work?? Nice sound
How does this actually affect performance and fuel economy in everyday driving?
