  • The OE error message on LG appliances like dishwashers and washing machines is a drain error. The OE error means the machine cannot drain properly, this drainage problem can be caused by a clogged drain line, kinked drain line, clogged filter or a bad drain pump.
    This video shows how to replace the drain pump on an LG Washer Dryer Combo Unit. particularly the LG WM3455HW. I bought the new drain pump on Amazon for $24 amzn.to/2CzNovJ Make sure you order the correct pump for your model washing machine.

    I'm a 65 year old woman and just replaced my pump. Thanks for this great video. I would add a tool list...I wasted lots of time with a short screwdriver. I would suggest a magnetic, long screwdriver.

    • @peanut924
      @peanut924 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes definitely use a magnetic screwdriver. those pesky screws can fall into the machine and takes long to find and fetch them! lol
      i also learned that if you have a giant magnet and you rub a screwdriver on it, it will become magnetic.

    I wish I’d seen this before I did mine: from other videos I took off the top, control panel, and door boot before realizing that my lower cover piece would come off without needing to do any of that. And I removed the whole pump assembly (both the drain and circulation pumps). This looks much simpler, so I’ll use this method next time. Getting that door boot ring reattached was a challenge.

    So we replaced our drain pump last week (after clearing the drain line and the drain filter) and we are continuing to get the OE error during the rinse cycle. If we pause the cycle open the door, shut it, and press play again, it starts to drain and we don't get the error and the wash cycle finishes. Tried to reset the whole machine (unplugging, pressing play for 5 seconds, then plugging back in). Hoping that will fix but any other recommendations before we have to call someone in?
