I can't explain why the B21 works but having played Xflex in dozens of drivers in the past 10 years, a stock RCH 65 S in this head is as good as ever. SS is around 110 and I get everything I need from this club. She bangs

Excellent and efficient analysis for most golfers. My swing will never be as repeatable as this, but after getting fitted for them, I would agree with nearly every conclusion drawn in this test. Long and straight with a slight draw bias. Very chunky head but unexpectedly light.

Bought the Callaway b21 driver last week finally got to the range to try it out and I must say I was very impressed with it I usually hit a fade but the b21 turned it into a long power cut for me and I gained 20 yards best money I ever spent and it goes straight

  • @southpaw4755

I was fitted for the B 21 driver about a month ago. Had my doubts about whether or not it would help that much. With previous drivers, my miss was a bad fade or slice. This club has changed my game. It's straighter and it's longer. I would buy another tomorrow if I lost this one.

I tested it as well. and found it to be a bit more "spinnie" of the tee however the flight was similar, to the inside. I also agree if you are going to be an avid golfer then working on swing techniques and getting fit to a proper set of clubs will help. BUTTTTT, if you are a weekend golfer just to go out with the buds then certainly this is a set worth of consideration.

You hit a persimmon wood or a b21 and still slice a ball. It's not the club, but the swing. Traditionally I'm a slicer but after many lessons I've finally developed a draw and its helped tremendously.

    I'm currently hitting the B21. I'm in a love-hate relationship with it.
Also, I know on previous Big Bertha iron ranges (I believe the 08s for sure) had something called "I-brids", which were basically just fatter bottomed irons.
Edit, 6 months later: I added a 6 hybrid. Love it. Still not sure about my driver swing in general

Hold on a second. The B21 8 iron flew 171 but still had 6500 rpm of spin? That is phenomenal for an SGI iron! Normally that style of club would be losing 1000 or more rpm mainly because of the super strong lofts. For comparison, Pete would have to use his 7 iron to hit a green at 171 and it would be coming in with less descent angle than his 8 and with 800-900 rpm less spin, probably around 5600 rpm. May not make much difference on soft, easy greens but for harder greens or more tucked pins that's a lot of stopping power, combined with 51 degrees of descent.

I bought this club for the anti slice. It doesn't stop it I knew that going in. What I am hoping for is to eliminate the big slice when I just mishit or my brain is on a break. If I am hitting good then the slice shouldn't be a factor. Coaching does help more this is just to keep it from being a big slice on occasion

When this club was first announced it was marketed as distance however you swing it and they stated the draw bias and the low spin meant that even if you sliced it you would see slightly less slice and a bit of extra distance. In the real world this would probably only be fairly minimal however since everyone started doing their reviews on it, it's become this anti slice miracle cure. I'm not sure if this is down the reviewers trying to make their review more sensational than the last of whether Callaway have pushed them towards saying that.
Personally I would definitely like to give this driver a go.

I have been looking for a decent driver to replace my 20 year old Taylor Made driver. So I bought the B21 2 weeks ago. Tested it at the driving range a few days ago, and it delivers as promised. Most ball flights were straight or slight draws. I think the the driver will help with the occasional bad shot to the right. I have Steelhead irons and hybrids which do not go right very often - straight or right to left 90% of the time. Will see how the B21 driver does out on the course today.

I have been playing the Rogue driver set on 8* draw for the last 3 yrs. I thought it was time for a new driver, so i got the Big Bertha B21 because of them claiming to take the fade or slice out of your drives. I have the B21 set on 8* draw and still same as with the Rogue. Also, ball flight is alot higher with B21 using same shaft. Really too high for and distance for me. I hit the Rogue high but not as high as the B21 and i got more distance from the Rogue. I have played 5 rounds now with the B21, and also i have the project even blue stiff shaft in it, i can use same shaft for either club. So, B21 did not take my fade or slice out, and about the same distance as Rogue , but not quit.

Many years ago I came across the weirdest looking driver ever made. The face was circular, felt like plastic and had a sticker that stated "Betchya can't slice me". Well in those days I could never find a fairway if my life depended on it. So I bought one, and guess what? It worked. It was impossible to slice as the face was completely closed. I was so impressed that I got the franchise for Australia and New Zealand. Alas that is where the fairy tale ended. Yes they did work and I was virtually never missing a fairway, due to the cost of them, I think it was about $900 each, I just could not sell them here, remember this was maybe 35 years ago. Also, and this was a major problem with them. Many of them cracked open, and could not be repaired. However, they did actually work and in the long run, they fixed my slice. BTW, I have just ordered a new set of B21 Woods. Driver, 3 and 5. They will be here in 5 weeks with "senior" shafts.

So, these would be better suited to a mid to high handicap.
Nothing takes the slice out of a game.
Would they suit a slow or high speed swing?
As a senior golfer I am always looking at clubs to give forgiveness but distance to be competitive.

Not sure why all the You-tube golf pro's don't test the B21 out with a mid to high handicapper who struggles with a slice? Seeing Peter Finch, Mark Crossfield or Alex Etches smashing the thing doesn't prove anything, when this driver is designed for a much less talented player

Another fabulous video information from you Peter, fixing a slice it won't come cheaper, those who slice is because their swing is weaker, it's all in the grip and the swing coming in steeper - slicers get yourself a golf lesson, it works out cheaper, will the B21 help your slice - not according to Peter!

Great video pete, unfortunately for all of us there will probably never be a legal club that actually gets rid of slice😂

I know I should get fitted, but which Callaway driver would you say is a better club for a mid handicapper who's bad miss is right? I'm not really a slicer but I do tend to play a natural fade. I have a high ball flight and an average swing speed. Mavrik Max or Big Bertha B21? Btw Thanks for making this video it is what I have been waiting for.

I get that a club won’t fix your swing...however as a lifelong slicer...I adjusted the face on my driver 3 degrees closed and Bob's your uncle I now hit my drives dead straight...my conclusion is that the driver adjustment fixed my slice!

Dont need anti slice I just need something that drops bombs like my ping g15. What was your avg vs the maverick & BB? I hit around 280-300 normally so would I gain any distance? I dont trust simulator too much as I clapped 350 with the maverick and knew there was no way unless I had a 30mph wind on my back. Current set ping g15 macgregor heritage tour 3wood taylormade m6,irons titleist 3 iron & Cleveland wedges 52, 56, 60 and a tm770 putter handicap of 9

Thanks for the review, Pete. I just see it all as too "gimicky" if that's a proper term. I mean maybe it might help some folks out but at the end of the day, a couple good lessons with a pro would prob help folks more and cost less than a new driver.

Dam Pete. Can you lighten up on the dramatic music. Had me sitting on the edge of my seat, thought the driver screen was going to blow up or something.
