- Are higher end motorcycle helmets really worth the extra money? In this edition of EV Rider, I’m doing a comparison between mid-range and high-end HJC helmets.

Thanks for this, upgrading from a c70 to an Rpha 70
Congrats. I think you'll enjoy the added refinement of the RPHA 70. Mine is still serving me well.
I find the visor won’t stay in place in all but the very top opening position, the wind pushes it closed? Is this the norm? My rpha90 needs a firm push at each detent.
I can't honestly say if it's "the norm," since I haven't tested or owned multiple helmets but there is no obvious defect in the workmanship of my RPHA so I have to assume it is the way it was designed, which again, I feel is a flaw. Just to clarify, on all but the top, most open position, wind will blow the helmet visor to near-shut, allowing in less air than I have become accustomed to with other helmets I've owned.
if you want to push the sun visor up 100%, push the switch a bit more at that open position, it has some resistance at that point like its at the end of the range, but its not!
You're right! It worked. Although given how much pressure was required, I'd never attempt that while riding. But still, good to know. Thanks.
@@EVRider you wellcome. it feels like a flaw but there must be a reason behind if all same. I wasn't sure about it until I see your complain. However it is a flaw for me cos as you said, it is difficult to do while riding
For sun visor you need ro push it all the way back to feel the click and all will go under
Another viewer told me that a while back. You're right. I didn't know that at the time of the video's recording. However, given how much force is needed to get it to click/retrack all the way it's not something I'd attempt while riding.
I dont recommend not waterproof, leak in a lot 👎
Fortunately I've not experienced that issue with mine but both of my motorcycles have windscreens.
Hi mate maybe in you place without heavy rain ,but here in London that helmet leak with windscreen down
@@R.R.1979 I'm in Florida. I've gotten caught riding through my share of torrential downpours.
