Hi Rob! Thank you for sharing another well-produced, quality video. I genuinely loved your question about what makes the difference between feeling inspired by v.s. feeling envious of someone. Personally, I've found that when I used to be more prone to jealousy, that was also when I was more focused on my shortcomings, the things that I was lacking, or the qualities that I viewed as negative about me. So whenever I would look at other people, their abundance amplified my insecurities. Whereas now, I've shifted my focus on what I do have or what I can achieve, and I've been more grateful than ever. And that really helped me to feel inspiration whenever I would look at other people and the kind of life they have. I feel like ever since I've practiced having more gratitude, more trust in my own abilities, and more appreciation for what I have and what I can have, I've started to see other people's abundance as inspiration and motivation. I'm more capable of genuinely feeling happy for others and their achievements/success. And that really motivates me not to be better than them but to be more like them.
There's this "red car theory" which argues that if you're thinking about buying a red car, you will suddenly start noticing red cars everywhere you go. And I think that applies here. When you focus on the negative things that you perceive about yourself or the things that you're lacking in your life, that's all you'll see even when you look at other people. Whereas if you focus on the positive things in your life, you begin to recognize the positive things in other people's lives as well and it brings you inspiration.

I see that some people have to ability to easily survive with minimal effort and I really want that. I'm just tired and want to relax, life is hard and only seems to get more difficult as you age. The comparison that some people have the freedom to sleep in or just go to the doctor without worrying about if the bill will take them out keeps me going but is also a major source of unhappiness.
