    If you are wanting to go for a walk after eating to lower your glucose levels, but its too cold, dark, or dangerous out join me for an indoor walk! Indoor walking is amazing because you can do it from the comfort of your own home for incredible fitness benefits.
    Going for a walk after a meal can help reduce blood sugar levels, even if it’s just for a few short minutes. When you eat a meal-particularly one heavy in carbohydrates-it’s normal for your blood sugar levels, or the amount of glucose in your blood, to sometimes spike temporarily. This spike in blood sugar typically triggers the release of a hormone called insulin, which allows the glucose to leave your bloodstream and enter your cells, where it’s used for energy. If the body consistently has very high spikes in blood sugar and is routinely pumping out more insulin, cells can eventually stop responding to insulin and become insulin resistant. This break in the balance can lead to prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. But new research shows that taking a quick walk after meals can help lower blood sugar levels, and potentially reduce the chances of developing cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
    In this video I am using a Nutrisense CGM to monitor my blood glucose levels before, during and after my indoor walk. Nutrisense is bringing continuous glucose monitors (aka CGM’s) to the masses.     Ate breakfast did the walk and checked my blood sugar and it was 97 I’m a type 2 diabetic and I ate eggs and walnuts. Thanks for the video the walked really helped will do after every meal!

    I only recently heard about indoor walking exercises. I'm not really a youtube exercise video enthusiast, but I have thoracic outlet syndrome, so I have trouble finding exercise classes that don't stress out the nerves in my arms and neck. Anyway, I can walk for miles and miles without getting sore and this video had some of my leg muscles burning in the first 3 minutes. 😂😂 Guess I need to do more of these. I started on this one, because I just ate and was feeling blah. Feeling better now. Verdict: loved it! Thank you!

    Thank you for this video. When would you say is the best time to do this after eating? I've read 30, 60 or up to 90 minutes after a meal is when your blood sugar peaks.

    1451 steps….. I LOVE this 10 min walk I have done it every evening before bed since I found it 4 weeks ago , helps me sleep better. I recently started using it as a wam up for my daily workout. Sometimes I am just not in the mood but I start walking to my favorite songs, once the walk is over I’m ready for boxing. ❤

    I was detected diabetic when I was 35 years age, due to staying in stressed mental state all my waking time.
    Depression also made me remain unmotivated to take care of my body.
    Thanks for this easy walking workout which I just finished. I will do this after every meal now on.

    Thank you so much for your 10 minute videos. I really needed to start working out because of my moderate high blood pressure and sedentary habits. Your gentle workout videos, positive attitude and focus on lowering blood sugar makes me feel like it's okay when my efforts are not as good as yours because I'm still a newbie.

    After dinner i have an increase in my sugar level, when i dont eat proper food or eat chick peas it stays normal. What do i do after eating proper food to maintain my sugar level.

    I love this workout and have been doing this for sometime now. I got my mum (70yrs) and my brother in law to work out with me this afternoon. They loved it. Looking at us my 2 year old son joined us.
    We had an awesome time. We’ll be adding this to our daily post lunch family time. Thank you Caroline for this fun and simple workout.🙏

    Thank you so much 😊. I watched this whole entire video on my 18 minute walk on my lunch break. I just wish I had a walking 🚶‍♀️ buddy since I’m so lonely and all my friends are in different parts of the country now.

    Hi!! I am roughly 34 weeks pregnant and I have gestational diabetes. It’s cold where I live with it being winter and it’s get super dark early !! I came across the video because I ate something that spiked my sugars and I wanted to get moving to lower my blood glucose! Thank you for sharing! 😊
