Racial humor works really well when done in good faith. If you’re just being spiteful, it seeps into the material and really ruins the experience. Not offensive, just not funny either. This rare quality is what makes Burr, Chappelle, and Rickles three of my all-time favorites.

There absolutely is such a thing as too much salt!! You add salt until you can taste it, if your tongue starts shriveling and your throat closes you've gone too far. Seasoning should primarily be herbal, salt should stay in the background complimenting the whole of the dish! We aren't deer smh

The act of seasoning food implies salt is involved. The point of seasoning is to enhance flavor, and salt is the most basic, elemental flavor enhancer.

I'm black I live in the hood and I agree black people put every seasoning in the cabinet on all of everything. Most things really just need salt and pepper minimum, and depending on the dish you can use different herbs or aromatics, or a sweetener, etc. Not Adobo seasoning, Sazon seasoning, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, italian seasoning, one chicken stock cube, and everything else under the sun.
My wife is black and uses this creole seasoning that's full of salt and she def goes overboard with it too hahahah
