I’ve had excruciating sciatic pain for two years. I watched this video a little over a month ago and began taking copper drops. I got up to 20 mg within a week and I’ve now been free of sciatica for six days. I’m so excited to be free of pain!
@@DonlikeJman1 Sadly it didn’t continue that way. I read in one of the comments about them getting relief from nucca treatments and started almost a month ago. I’m about 80% out of pain which is manageable. The doctor says to just be patient and it will be gone after the full three months of treatments. I’m hopeful. It was probably the worst two years of my life.
I’ll never forget the day I was fainting in a bus in the middle of Mexico, this beautiful woman came up to me and gave me a hand full of pennies and said hold on tight. 5 minutes later I was no longer dizzy and felt completely fine. My mom ended up making me a couple of bracelets and I always carry them with me when I travel, bless that woman wherever she is!

Hey eric, Ayurveda reader and self practioner here. Just a quick thing, in our Indian families copper has been placed as one of the vital things and was used in multiple ways, however to make sure one does not get copper deficiency, our ancestors made copper utensils and stored water in them overnight. Bracelets might be one of the short term fixes, but the utensil stays forever, I even have one in my home passed on from my grandfather. Keep in mind to not place dairy products in copper, it can cause severe digestive issues on the long term. Thx for the reminder for copper, and I hope my comment helps 😊.
Yeah my dear friend it as horrendous as you said.... At this moment I'm lyind down on the bad from about 6 days taking 2 types of medicines + paracetamol without seeing any progress I'm really stressed and depressed its very painfull its horrendous 😢😢🥺🙏
Suffering sciatica for so many years and after doing low carb and fasting all pains are gone. Thanks to all low-carb doctors sharing their time and knowledge to educate us. God Bless!
Back in the 70s my grandmother, who suffered terribly from arthritis and associated pain, flew to Boston to see a specialist and one of the things he told her was to wear a copper bracelet. She did until the day she died when she was 100 years old. She swore by that bracelet because, from the time she started wearing it, her suffering eased greatly and she lived a long and healthy life.
Phenomenal! There are some great doctors indeed in Boston & most are just researchers there that love the 💰 more than human life. So glad your grandmother found a great one. May she rest in heaven. 🙏 💜 My grandparents from dad side lived to 103 and mom's father about 90 of I can recall. Hematite bracelets, necklace and such are great too! Thanks for sharing 🥳💖
Thank you 10.37pm Thank you, Dr. Berg for all of the helpful info about our health condition You are a godsend to all u have help. I for one will always your biggest fan. Keep on doing what you're doing. Because we all need u right now.
It's like you read my mind. This past week as been the worst discomfort and pain my sciatica has ever given me (from moving into a new home). Being 51 and not having health insurance I need to be able to take care of myself. Your channel and a few others have allowed me to maximize my quality of life. Thank you
"Being 51 and not having health insurance I need to take care of myself". You have no idea how sad that sounds to a Canadian. Of course take care of yourself after having medical attention. Americans deserve universal healthcare. You pay for Israel's military budget so that they can have universal healthcare. You pay fees to have military bases in countries that have universal health care. How do you vote ?
You should volunteer to help keep dems in charge. Republicans will do everything possible to cut Healthcare and social security. How long can people vote republican (against their own best interest) before they wake up!
I had sciatica pain off and on for years. This year it was so bad that I couldn’t walk properly. I got mri done on my spine and found I have a huge 0:20 mass on my spine compressing my spinal cord. I had a major back surgery and now recovering. Thank god for the mri and the neurosurgeon ❤
My neurosurgeon unapologetically made my back worse. After month or more I had another MRI and he casually says 'oh we will just have to operate again'. I told him 😡 After maybe over half year of further excrutiating pain, I LUCKILY found the most amazing chiropractor (an old school friend) and he laughed at my 2nd MRI and said '-your back is f*cked' AND that the 2nd MRI was far worse than the first. He did a lot of therapy on me to release my muscle fatigue etc and then limited manipulations -esp also to help the blood to flow freely again (most of it for free so definitely nothing superfluous). Two years later after being terrified of even using the stairs so scared I would jolt my back, I was back playing hockey and even marshal art again... The right exercises to strengthen and SUPPORT ones back is also SO important...💃
Timely information . . . . it's like you have your finger on the pulse of many of your viewers and understand what they need to hear. You and your Team do a wonderful job. Thank you to you all.
My wife and I both have had bad backs and I have an aching shoulder. We watched this video and started taking copper as per one of your recommendations and the pain went away for both of us. This isn’t the first time we have watched one of your videos and it has helped. Thank you Dr. Berg!

I've had sciatica for 4 years badly in my back after i injured it, then sat a lot without exercise and smoked. It ruins your whole life. Really appreciate these videos 😊
You got to move even it hurt like hell bro. I got sciatica for almost 3 months and almost full recover (around 65%-70% i think) i did chrio, acupuncture, traditional nerve massage, consuming medicine for low back pain (i got it from my from friends, Indonesian medicine) and lastly excercise/fisio. At first month it hurt like hell, got difficulties when walking, sit down too. Hope this helps you Btw my biggest contribution to speed up my recovery was traditional nerve massage (i warn you, it hurt so much but after that I got very pleasant sleeping) and excercise.
@MrSilentkiller673 wow thanks. Yeh I think need to move and be on my feet for 2 hours a day minimum. Plus stretching. I tried everything as well nothing fixed it. Although percussion massagers are great. I've never heard of traditional never massage I'll have to check it
@Larimuss btw sorry for my english, i hope you understand me and hope this help you. Yes you got to move but dont push your self to hard and dont over streching. I dont know if in western got traditional nerve massage. But im from somewhere in asian so its quite easy to find.
It is horrible pain. Mine started a few years ago from what I didn’t know at the time was disc degeneration. Apparently one has to exercise the core, glutes and back forever to keep it at bay. My problem is being consistent w that. Good luck and hopefully the copper will help along w good diet and exercise.

Literally getting over a bout of Sciatica...had it since I was a child but have avoided it more in my adult life. This makes sense and is eye opening. Going to dig up my copper bracelet right now and top up on my copper diet. Thank you Dr. Berg.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and I suffer from sciatica from a surgery years before my diagnosis. The “doctors” don’t think the conditions are related. Thanks for your information, it’s important that people know they have options.
For years, I suffered from sciatica and back pains, which worsened to the point where I was nearly unable to walk anymore. Despite the fact that I ran and cycled for large distances. Then one day I got a dog and started walking, and my sciatica and back pains disappeared completely together with a lot of weight.
I’ve been diagnosed by a neurologist with low copper before. Then treated by him for low copper and B1 thiamine. I now have sciatica. I’m going to try this.
I been going back-and-forth to the doctors taking medication‘s and and none of it works so I’m glad I turn onto your show today thanks for everything and God bless😂😂😂
If the "sciatica" is localised in the butt cheek, and if the straight leg raise test is negative, then it's probably piriformis syndrome, in which case the cure would be to stretch and strengthen the hips, especially the opposite hip that the pain is on. The gluteus maximus and medius typically need to be strengthened, whilst the piriformis needs to be relaxed via hip external and internal rotation stretches.
My husband has piriformis syndrome and the doctor said true sciatica goes all the way to the toes. Piriformis syndrome typically only affects part of the leg. But the stretches help both since they both pertain to that nerve.
@@mhelen2810 Do both hips equally 👍I only stretched the side with the pain on when I was a teenager but it kept coming back plus I was creating muscular imbalances. Since I started stretching and strengthening the other hip it hasn't come back. Also, don't stretch too brutally as I wrongly did.
That’s what I have Piriformis.I have so much pain. It’s getting a little better but I have pain every day. Going through therapy and getting dry needling the therapist recommending to getting MRI Really don’t want to cause it cost a lot I’m thinking about going to a chiropractor
This video came at the perfect time. I was just telling my husband my siatica hurts so much. I blame it on the cold weather!! I’m so happy and thankful for you Dr. Berg!
thank you so much Doctor, I am from Morocco, and in our tradition old women wear copper and my mother used to tell me that it is excellent for bone and joints pain.

Copper bracelets are helping me with my Arthritis. Use the one's with the magnets. My pain was severe and it went down to mild and sometimes no pain at all.😊
I have had this pain for years. I do use the sciatica brace, and it helps so much where I actually clean homes and I can do it. I also wear copper gloves for thumb arthritis and it helps immensely. I also drink teas like ginger, tumeric, and lemongrass. It's not all 100% gone, but I can work and drive without so much pain.

Hi Dr. Berg! Thank you for all of the great info you provide on your channel. I got injured at the gym and it triggered sciatica, which I haven’t dealt with in years! It’s the worst case I ever had, pain in the buttock, lower back, hamstring and fire in my calf. After 2 days of this misery I saw your video, remembered that I have a large copper bracelet and put it around my ankle. It felt like the pain was getting worse but after about 20 minutes I felt muscles contracting like they were loosening up. I felt it in all of the 3 aforementioned areas. Then… the pain started to subside and I fell asleep. I almost slept the whole night but I changed positions and I started hurting again for a very short while, it left and I was able to get up and walk my dog! Thanks so much!!
Stretches, good chiropractor, hanging from a bar and swimming 2x week 90% fixed L4 stenosis which caused pain from low back to calf. Now I mostly hang and do hamstring and psoas stretches.
Do you do the two minute hang? I just came across that yesterday. I have issues with sciatica and l4 the spinosis and l5 so I should try the stretching on the bar
In my native country, yellow coins that were made before 1955 (don't hold me on year, I have a few numbers in my head)were made out of pure copper. So my grandma would tape(bandade) coins to her back.😊

Hi , For more than 1 year with pain in the calf, I tried all kinds of elongations, yesterday I found this video, today I cut 30 cm of copper of 2mm in diameter, I rolled it in my calf, I kept it all day, and for some reason the pain I felt disappeared, it was like having a knot and with the help of copper I untied it. It's incredible I still can't believe it, tomorrow I'll go for a run to confirm that the pain is gone
It's one of the most excruciating pain ,i find my bottom foot hurts more now bc of sciatica i cant walk properly if i've been sitting or getting out of bed on mornings
I've a chair which I sit on extended periods which now doesn't have that cushy softness anymore. It's quite painful like sitting on a board and fast forward a few months then this issue of mild pain in the nerve of left hip (lower near buttock) then a sharp pain on my left foot sole (the middle part) when I walk. It's odd but I could understand why it happened. I didn't make any major diet changes, i write this comment so that you may check if it's the chair or sitting longer hours on one side (leaning) is the problem and get that more comfortable to maybe lessen the pain.
Hi, I am so sorry you are going through this horrible pain. I know this pain very well I have it on both legs! It started on one foot then the other. The first time I got it on my left feet I could not walk for 5 .5 months. It was the most painful and depressing time of my life. I cried everyday because of the excruciating pain. I would not wish this on anyone. I saw Chiro, Accupuncture and Physio docs and did not get any relief from this pain. What helped me is the B vitamins and I think rubbing Castor oil on my legs every night. It's messy but it helps I feel little better after using it for 2 week everyday. I am still using it hope it goes away soon. I will try what Dr Berg suggests here in this video, he is the best. Good luck on your healing journey. 🙏🏻
Thank you Dr. Berg. I think this is the scientefic explanation for the use of cupper in the utensils and the basin of the temple as described in the bible. An awesome enlightening information!!! ❤
As always, very good advice by Dr.Berg. Have HAD 'severe' sciatica for several years. (have diagnosed spinal 'stenosis' via MRI.) but not a candidate for surgery due to other medical reasons. My solution that has 'relieved' my sciatica was to "restore" my posture and 'shape/curve' of my lower spine by the semi-constant use of an orthodpedic lumbar pillow - a semi circular foam pillow at about 4" maximum with a 'belly strap'. I use it for sitting (never slouching!!), when driving my vehicle, and sleeping. The 'posture' restoration has releived my siciatica by 95+%. I also self medicate with alpha-Lipoic acid, bio-available B-Complex & magnesium(taurate). Plus, I had my primary care physician prescibe a total vitamin and mineral, etc. blood testing - and then corrected most all apparent deficiencies. My Copper 'balance' was OK, as I eat a lot of shellfish - mussels, etc. . Most healthcare insurance will pay for such detailed blood testing ... under their 'wellness and PREVENTION'' portion of their policies. The discussion of 'balance' of micro-nutrients, etc., I feel, is very and vitally important -- worked for me, as I am slowly and determinedly returning towards being an active life-long 'extreme athlete', even at my 'advanced' age !!!!!
Thank you for this. So you have a pillow that is a half circle, and somehow place it in the small of your back and then tape yourself to it while sitting? Something like that? Appreciate it. What brand of pillow?
Wow! Thank you Dr. Berg! I had this medical issue for the last 33 years or so - and I didn't know what it was. I had an Ex-ray done and I was told I had Artritis in my lower back but nothing more about it so until now I didn't even know what it was until I watched your video. Thank you once again! Take care and all the best to you!👍🫶👍
Thank you! I have sciatica pain in my left butt cheek to the point that it’s hard to sit down for any length of time plus carpel tunnel is both arms - the right being the worse. Walking is painful too. Myofascial therapy works for a short period of time. I am athletic and I push through the pain but I am tired of it. So I have ordered copper supplements, a copper bracelet, and moving the beef liver out of the freezer to cook tomorrow. Fingers crossed! Thanks for the info, I always find your stuff very helpful.

I was able to get rid of my 20-year battle with sciatica by strengthening my lower and lower back. I have always worked out, but never really focused on it and didn't realize it was the problem until I did some research. It's been gone now for almost 3 years now!! I had sciatica real bad and almost considered a minimally invasive (lol) surgery. Then I heard about yoga and the "half pigeon" pose helped a lot, but like was mentioned it keeps coming back. A lot of great info to work on here today Dr Berg; thank you so much
Yes!.. had sciatica for years. Hamstring stretches kind of helped... Pigeon stretch instantly solved my sciatica 90%. Like flipping a switch. I almost could not believe it. So I continued the pigeon stretch once a day for a year... I then found the bridge stretch and it seems to work as good or better. I do it 3 or 4 times a week with hamstring stretches too. Only takes a few minutes. Give it a try.
I hv been having sciatica for 3 mths now. The first 3 mths was like there was no day and night. Never ending pain, no sleep, crying till you hv no tears left. Couldnt eat, sit, sleep. Tried every means I can to make the pain go away. Bone treatment at the same time nerve medication, phisioteraphy...and today no more pain, im able to walk, still with crutches...need another 25% to get my normal life again
I have followed this advice and I had a lot of trouble with my one leg and muscle. I got a bracelet but it was to long so I placed it ankle, and the same Day it was better and now Both legs are almost the same strong. I got tests and I was weak in the one leg in all previous test, but yesterday the test showed an engres of 30 watt compared with only +10 watt in the other normally stronger leg.

Thank you for this very informative video on the role of copper in the human physiology Dr Berg. You're videos are super educative and well researched. If I may add some info; in Bharat (India) , it is a very common practice to store drinking water in copper pots or flasks or drink water out of copper glasses. And the copper bracelets that you mentioned are also worn by many. It is highly recommended as per Ayurveda. However, doctors trained in allopathy or western medicine often caution against excessive use of copper vessels as it may lead to Wilson's disease. Now , is this concern founded? How much Cu per day is safe ? How do we gauge that ? Thanks
Thank you so much for this information. I have been having problems and problems and problems. And no one seems to understand the problem. But you doctor have completely answered all my questions. And now I can get some results. Hopefully thank you so much for your program. I have never watched it too much. But so grateful that I watched it this morning. Thank you.😊

I suffered for decades with sciatica, painful muscle spasms in my feet & I would grind my teeth during sleep. From age 15 to age 56. I won't go into detail, but it was bad, debilitating & painful. I lost so much because I couldn't work during times of extreme pain. I fixed myself in 3 weeks. How? I stopped eating wheat. Completely stopped. That was in 2012. I've not had one back pain since then & I stopped grinding my teeth. BTW, I was 15 in 1972... which happened to be the same year that modernized wheat was unleashed upon an unsuspecting public. It is hazardous to those that consume it. There should be a warning label on all products that contain wheat.

What I like about Dr. Berg is he is a true scientist. He may not be in the research setting he needs to be in but compared to regular doctors who don't even listen he is far better. All doctors should be scientists. It started out this way. This is why they get PhDs. The first trait a scientist needs is the power of observation and ability to listen. I don't see this in most doctors. They only seem to like to hear themselves talk and all they really are is True Believers in what they were taught in whatever medical school they went to and so they are Repeaters of that information and never ever actually do experiments themselves or research themselves.

It's like you read my mind. This past week as been the worst discomfort and pain my sciatica has ever given me (from moving into a new home). Being 51 and not having health insurance I need to be able to take care of myself. Your channel and a few others have allowed me to maximize my quality of life. Thank you

You mean copper didn't help? 🤪

Hope this helps you
Btw my biggest contribution to speed up my recovery was traditional nerve massage (i warn you, it hurt so much but after that I got very pleasant sleeping) and excercise.
@MrSilentkiller673 wow thanks. Yeh I think need to move and be on my feet for 2 hours a day minimum. Plus stretching. I tried everything as well nothing fixed it. Although percussion massagers are great.

External/ internal hip stretching. Is it the same hip where pain felt or opposite?

Hi Dr.

Update?
I’m so happy your out here informing us
It's one of the most excruciating pain ,i find my bottom foot hurts more now bc of sciatica i cant walk properly if i've been sitting or getting out of bed on mornings

Excellent report. Anything to add?
Where's the picture of the pillow.

Thanks

Thanks a lot, dr Berg!

Dr. Berg for this helpful, invaluable, and educating information regarding the Sciatica flare ups and causes!
I uses to drive for long periods of time, with my wallet in my back pockets; and I did not realize that was causing my terrible Sciatica flare ups!
The stretching and using Eucalyptus patches has helped so much!
Dr. Berg is humanitarian awesome!
Thank you doc,I,m watching from the philippines😊
Thanks for watching!
Indians use copper rings often and the new generation was not aware it but now i get it. Drinking overnight water in copper vessel was also in indian society but sadly people stopped doing it..but now I understand its importance.
That's interesting. Thanks for sharing.
You can even place a strip of copper overnight in the water storage container so all you need to do is to clean the small strip of copper with lemon or tamarind - eases up your maintenance greatly.
Thank you so much Dr Berg for your help and kindness. Love your videos great help to me . God bless you and your family. From Ireland ❤
As an electrician with lower back pain, I'll start eating some copper wire from my work truck.

@@heddy2326Does it help?
Wow, fascinating. I just had bloodwork done and they told me I’m copper deficient. I woke up with sciatica this morning. I’m also on 50mg of DHEA prescribed by my Doctor for low hormones. Wow, this was so informative. I love you Dr. Berg! You are helping me so much with all my issues. I’m reading your book now and just ordered a bunch of your supplements. I want to give back since you have helped me when my own doctors just shove me out the door. Thank you!
Thanks. Hope the info here will be useful for you. Take care.
I believe that a lot of these issues related to back pain may be related to the quality of your sleep mattress. It would be interesting to hear Dr. Bergs thoughts on this and any suggestions he may have.
Excellent point! Let's hope that Dr. Berg will suggest a good solution for us! Thank You!
@@johnnya287 I was concerned about purchasing one that might be too firm, but it's good to know that there is an option to correct it. I will also be trying the push-ups. Thank you for the thoughtful suggestions.
I just love your content Dr Berg! You are a true blessing and healer to humankind. God Bless you for sharing your knowledge to help others. 😊
Well since I have extra wire in the basement, I'll make a free bracelet then if it works I'll buy a cool one. Lol.

I love Doc Berg for reel ❤ a true blessing from Heaven🙏 He love what is doing❤ saving life is his mission🤗 Bless your heart❤ Doc,byou are loves by millions& thank you.
Really appreciate your kind message, keep up the good work!
