I have to admit, I'm crying so much seeing those mirrors.. If you happen to know anyone else who has those specific ones available (I know they're discontinued), I'm DESPERATE for them to complete my S207 NBR JDM build. (110 or 050, though 110 preferred). You're the full on real deal, and I love seeing someone else with this passion for the true numbers and facts of these vehicles.
Are you looking for the BSD set to the normal version? I have the links for the non BSD Mirrors. Rallyaport direct sells this pair in limited quantities. Appreciate the passion and the feedback 🔥
@@Smeedia With the Limited, I have the BSD/Heated. Are those the actual Subaru STi JDM Mirrors? (ST91039ST110) I know Subispeed/RallysportDirect has ones that LOOK just like them (Blue, Wide angle, BSD/Heat, Arrow), but the turn indicator does not do the 'sweep', it was just a blink on/off. (unless it's toggable, which would make the whole point moot and I'd probably grab those instantly). I really, REALLY love that sweeping motion, and since I have sweeping LED's for all indicators across the car, I just have to have it. :) Practically every single Subaru aftermarket parts dealer online is owned by the same Conglomerate now. Backup camera at any time is one I like. On the base and premium. Turn off the radio. The screen needs to read “audio off”. Tap the upper left of the screen, upper right, lower left, lower right in relatively quick succession. A new screen will appear, from there select camera settings and the backup camera will appear. From here, if you wanted you can adjust the settings on the rear camera. This only works with touchscreen (2016+), base and premium, I haven’t tried it on the limited models with navigation.
On the VA chassis base model or premium if you turn push the button to mute/ turn off the stereo then press on the 4 corners of the screen a secret menu comes up and then you press and camera setting and now your back up camera is on while you’re driving so you can see your self shoot fat flames

The reason I turned off the seatbelt chime in my impreza, is because the seat pressure plate is so sensitive, so if you have food, or groceries, or bags in the passenger seat, the seat pressure plate will activate, and make it beep.

i also think with the VA chassis, there is a bunch of things you can change in your center dash display, and im pretty sure turning off the beep when you lock and unlock your doors is in there... could be wrong, but im pretty sure i saw that in there.
Garage is coming together man!!
One day at a time it is getting there!
Nice job. Deactivating hill assist is nice
Mandatory as far as I'm concerned... This should not be as buried as it is as well as the light should be ON when it's being used not when it's turned off. Oh well, at least the option is there.
That's all I need 20× thank you from coming 😂😂😂😂😂 we out here support from New Zealand 🇳🇿 and Rarotonga 🇨🇰
(ST91039ST110)
I know Subispeed/RallysportDirect has ones that LOOK just like them (Blue, Wide angle, BSD/Heat, Arrow), but the turn indicator does not do the 'sweep', it was just a blink on/off. (unless it's toggable, which would make the whole point moot and I'd probably grab those instantly). I really, REALLY love that sweeping motion, and since I have sweeping LED's for all indicators across the car, I just have to have it. :)
Practically every single Subaru aftermarket parts dealer online is owned by the same Conglomerate now. Tis amusing ordering parts from Subispeed showing up with RallySportDirect markings. They're all in the same warehouses.
@@Smeedia Are these the ones you're running? (Minus the BSD)
www.rallysportdirect.com/part/aftermarket-mirrors/mrl-14-lpbh-bsm-olm-wide-angle-convex-mirrors-w-turn-signals-defrosters-blind-spot-detection-blue
The videos I've seen of them show them just flat blink, not do the 'sweep' in the arrow. Do these sweep? If so, I'll grab these right now.. Hah.. :)
@@Smeedia Just to follow up on this..
Yeah, all the STi JDM mirrors are gone. Poof. Only way to get them is through Japan Auction sites, but.. DID manage to get myself the same scenario you have (17' STi Limited), reducing down to the 050 without the sensor. The look and authenticity is far, FAR more worth it.
Keep singin' my song with these cars! Longevity and pushing are what I live for on these!
If you have the warning light on your dash you can pull the old sensors out and push them into the m.j mirror caps to disable the warning light 🔥 glad you were able to snag a set and I'm glad I got a set before the disconiltinued them 😅
Who doesent like Easter eggs?:
Me: who doesent like white Work D9Rs on a WRB Subaru?!
Lol yesssss 🔥🔥🔥
The radio feature does work on the nasty base factory radio for 2015-2016.
Yea it does, it did it
@@WRX15 I replaced mine on my 2015 model. You still have that junk head unit? Replace that with an Android head unit is my opinion. The stock speakers worked so much better with new head unit. Around the time I got my car shortly after November 2014 I got a new Pioneer head unit. It is double din and works nice. All except for the noise cancellation that I came to learn about afterwards some time. Oh well...
For the VA, you should look up the "Disable Hill Climb Assist" feature (manual transmissions only)
The hand motion with the face, while maintaining eye contact for the seat belt chime....awesome lol
Had to do it 🤣
GR chassis snow drift mode ; how to deactivate Vehicule stability control completely : remove fuse #33 in your fusebox under steering wheel ( or make yourself a custom plug-in fuse bypass with a on off lever ) 😁
on GR/GV you can check your trouble codes using the trip reset button when you press it in a certain sequence, should be the same for VA
I think you're going to do it big dude! Like the vibe! And those wheels are sick! -2018 stage 2 WRX Limited, Chicago
Was just out in Chicago a few weeks back for work! Love the feedback and support my dude! Would be awesome if it did! 🙌🔥
@@Smeedia I'm told my 2018 Impreza has a secret hiding spot. True??
The seatbelt thing just earned you a sub! Thanks!
Thanks for the support 😁🔥
Same here. In my '15 WRX, when I have a water bottle and laptop on my passenger seat, it will ding about seat-belt. A bit too sensitive and annoying. Now I know how to stop it, thanks!
Works on my 2016 Limited without nav
codydakota95 does the car has to be on? Off , switch on?
I have 2020 WRX base
Car has to be on, either ignition on/engine off, or engine running. (If the rear camera comes on with the car in reverse, this ‘trick’ will work).
Hey bro I just started my TH-cam channel! You motivated me! So thanks man!!!!! Appreciate your content. 😎😎
Going to have to check it out 🔥
Bruh I literally thought it was bad wiring in my column when the lights started to flicker. Thank god lol
Just subbed that seat belt stuff made me literally laugh out loud!
Appreciate the support and glad you got some.humor out of it 😅
On the VA chassis base model or premium if you turn push the button to mute/ turn off the stereo then press on the 4 corners of the screen a secret menu comes up and then you press and camera setting and now your back up camera is on while you’re driving so you can see your self shoot fat flames
Lol I love the reason behind using it 🤣
Doesn't it turn your reverse lights on as well? Could u imagine driving behind you going down the road with your reverse lights on? haha
Speaking on behalf of the base model, the audio and speaker quality I feel is lackluster. A good video could be describing what the best audio settings is for 2015+ sound systems
get new speakers. that is what i did along with some soundskins. it sounds awesome now. i just went with the kicker speaker upgrade quick and easy plug and play hook up
Not a bad idea! Need to find someone with a premium or base but I'll definitely get it on the list!
Subaru offers a Rockford Fosgate speaker upgrade that’s fairly easy to install and is backed by a factory warranty.
YouDontWannaFightMe I heard the quality was not that good for those upgraded speakers
Sour Mane they’re not
The reason I turned off the seatbelt chime in my impreza, is because the seat pressure plate is so sensitive, so if you have food, or groceries, or bags in the passenger seat, the seat pressure plate will activate, and make it beep.
the tune knob when u hold it does work i use for my car when i wanna boost up bass or treble
I have a 20 and it just brings up the normal settings. Did they change it in the facelift models?
I have 2017 limited with the keyless. I found how to change the volume of the lock and unlock buzzer. In the small screen press and hold the ok button. Go into car settings then keyless buzzer. There you can lower the volume or raise it. Also I found out my car had a remote starter. If you press the lock button three times and hold on the three press it may start. I don't know if everyone knows this but you can set up a code to press in on the truck if you lock you keys in the car or don't have them on you.
Most definitely helped out with the keyless buzzer. I have a 2020 Impreza Sport and confirmed that it can be turned off via settings on the screen of the head unit
James Gabbard The code for the trunk is called pin code access. Subaru designed this feature for fishers, skiers, etc. just so you could have your keys locked in your car so you don’t lose or damage them. Kind of a neat feature, I work for Subaru and I learned about this feature in the training classes.
The fwd trick is easy, on many subarus its a box on the passenger firewall under the hood that says FWD, stick a fuse in it and it will disconnect rear
the GDs rear diff can only be disabled by the fuse trick on the automatic version. the manual transmission is stuck in AWD unless you break something lol
Lop of you break something 😅😅😅
I’ve a gr, when you open the door and get the annoying beeping, drives me insane, you can press the door sensor once to turn it off. Works a treat
what body kit are you using? That thing is sick
Just an OEM lip kit 🙏
I just got a new 2020 sti and been looking to get the loud mode for a bit extra loudness. Hopefully something can work. Sounds exactly like my 17' Impreza sport did
@@anthonyroe2598 sadly not, wishful though.. haven't looked into since i originally posted... just sadly deal with it.. though I don't get to drive my car daily

Do you know if there is a way to increase the alarm volume for if there's unauthorised entry?
I love all your content. What wheels are those? I love the how wide the lip is. I have a 19sti. Would love to get those wheels
Another great video. Had no idea that Easter eggs were in any of these cars lol.
Some more than others but some of the hidden features are still fun to know about 😁
19 sti.. tried the radio thing it would only take me to the normal sound settings for the radio as if you went into the settings page through the main screen unless I did it wrong.. lol also did you have to turn on your welcome lighting? Mine came on from the factory with it for a 30 second timer.
Yes I bad to turn mine on, the 2017 only utilizes them when the auto function is turned on (which I never use).... lol
Was not sure about the radio one, I couldent get it to work either but people were claiming they did...
Guess I don't know everything , I'll use the wink feature on my GD instead of Subie wave maybe I won't get the bird anymore !
Lol some people might be confused but worth it 😅 so many things to learn its nuts!
Can’t even do the gr one Bc I got premium w the touch screen radio 😭

Because it's my car and I wanted to 💪
The welcome lights on the V8 models also work for base model sti. Just tried it
love all the easter eggs in this video too. (rain)
If you turn on your headlights at night, you can see an angel on the headlight itself. Both sides has it. This is only for the VA models.

On VAs if you turn off your radio and press the four corners of the screen, starting from top left, to top right, to bottom left, to bottom right. you can open your back up camera setting while driving, so you can see them sick flames (;
How to turn on Marty Mcfly mode. Jump up and down 10 times, spin around 5 times, scream as loud as you can for 3 seconds, then hop in your car. If you did it correctly your car should take off!
On the limited sti you can set up a 5 digit code using your trunk open button located on the trunk if you want to unlock your car without the keys.
steven cramer yep works great
Pin code access 👍🏼
Tried setting it up 2-3 times. Before finally giving in and going to the dealer. They thought I was nuts, they didn’t know this.
Regardless to say, it never got done on my car. Too high tech of a car for me😜
Tim Nelson do you have a limited?
steven cramer
I do. 2019 limited rally blue with the lip.
Ran across it while reading the manual. Thought why not give it a shot. I did the sequence, heard the beep to start, but it did a weird beep back after I went to start the first number.
Dealer thought there might be a PIN already. Didn’t care to pursue it much more after that. I use the key, if its even locked
The front wheel only mode is for the car to fit on a 2 wheel emission runner. Danm, can't believe that's is already a thing in the past.
To turn off hill assist on the VA models hold down the traction control button for 60 seconds and car on a vertical angle will appear in lower right corner. Now no more burning out your clutch because you know how to drive a manual.
Hill assist saves your clutch not destroy it
@@Dragunov302 not when it doesn’t release and your riding it worse then if you had it off. Trust me I’ve seen what hill assist has done to clutches and it’s not pretty lol.
Yep, it literally made me stall all the time. And I’m very decent at driving manuals. Turned that crap off the 1st week I got mine.
Is there a way to have the doors lock automatically after driving off 2019 STI ?
That may be programmable through the dealer 👀

Incase it hasn't been said, you can have the limited with an actual key. Keyless push start is an option. Great video though
Thx a lot for the video! The smart key sensor for entry, and doors look (when you put your hand and the system automatically opens all the doors) doesn't work in my Outback 2019. I wonder if there is an easter egg for re-activate it.
Hi bro, I have a question, when placing a gear weather it's in first gear or 5th gear, it wobbles like it's in neutral, what should I replace, the shifter bushing (front and rear) or the shifter linkage? Thanks a lot!
I would start with the shifter bushing and go from there, should help to clean it up a lot 🙏😁
Hey man was wondering if you could help, my sti has aftermarket wheels on and they are 18inch, but I would love your wheels! so was wondering what wheels are they and if they are 19s then what do I have to do to change it from 18s?
Anytime, mine are work emotion D9rs 18x9.5 +38 on a 245/35/18 tire. You'll need 12mm spacers with extended lugs in the front to clear the brembos 😁
You should show how to disable Hill Assist! I did it on mine but forgot how. It's on a TH-cam somewhere. It increase the drivability!
joseph ihrig I believe it is holding down the traction control button down for about 30-1 min and then you see the light on your dash and turns it off
Its in your owners manual how to disable it
Sheeeesh, engaging 2wd mode will make it more fuel efficient
I use the welcome lights all the time. Very handy when you need to get to your car at night on an icy driveway
That was a new one for me. I put the SmartTap relay in, so it has something like that automatically for my '17. It doesn't turn on the headlights, but it does turn on all the corners when you lock and unlock the car. Let's you do some cool things with the hazard lights and lets you extend the number of blinks the soft press on the blinker switch will do. Kind of worth it if you like unique effects that not every subie has.
