Got my 2021 WRX last friday with exhaust. I'm 40 years old and its my first manual! Boy is it tough to learn! -currently the 2021 stall king world champion.
@@scooter4055 it has decent power from stock. My friend got his phase 3 and tuned three weeks ago. They won’t give you all the power that you ask for anyways. They give you power in stages as they feel you can handle it or if you got other high HP cars. And there is such thing as doing to much to vehicles. Like my in-laws Passat lol.
Bought a WRX in '02 (new), kept it for 17 years. Only mod was a fresh stock map. Oil change every 5K. Kept a journal with every light bulb/wiper blade. Dropped the clutch once in heavy rain just to see what she would do. Some spirited driving, never hammered. No problems for the first 10 years. Last 7 years I had some issues but for me it was the price of admission of keeping the car for 208K miles (no head gasket issues). Replaced with it's twin, '05. No better compliment "you are the guy people want to buy a car from". Great cars
I have a 04 I bought in 2016, I was 2nd owner. It had 135k now it’s sitting at 190k. Never really had issues, mainly normal services, clutch, brakes, radiator and timing belt. Only major thing was power steering hose assembly. But love those older WRX’s. Still have it but just purchased a 2020 base WRX.
I bought my first subie a few months ago and I love it. I’ve been in the automotive world for 15yrs with drift and time attack. Always heard horrible things about subarus but found out most of them are easy fixes and once they are buttoned up they run forever.
@@suj1140 sold it and bought a cadillac ats AWD so much better. More power leather heated seats way better ride quality and no road noise. The aftermarket for the ATS is kinda limited but so very worth it
@@axiomic hahahaha guilty but honestly the comfort and abilities these ATS's have is unmatched in the performance sedan for the price range. My caddy is now totaled from a deer but I am getting another one I've seen them in the ballpark of 8-13k for a 2.0T AWD caddy
There's a FA20 DIT reliability poll in the NASIOC forums that can give you some idea of the new platform reliability among people who mod. Also lists who tuned the cars. One of the reasons I chose Torqued Performance to tune ours. The engine has to run efficiently before trying to add power and that's his approach. It's making the power you can make while running correctly, not making as much power as you can and accepting compromises in efficiency.
140,000 miles!!! That's insane! I'm glad you've gotten so many miles out of it without issue. It makes me feel better because I want to mod mine and tune it- but I want to wait until the factory warranty is expired (60k miles).
Keep up on maintenance, get the valves cleaned every once in a while and it will last. I’m going until it blows then I’ll just get a new engine, a built engine and go for more power
@@4niktr Yeah I keep tight to the maintenance schedule and change oil every 3,000 miles. I was thinking of an Accessport and exhaust Stage 1. Any tips for modding?
I have a 2017 wrx base with no modifications, and I love the car. No issues, 90k miles. I think the biggest thing that I've had to get used to is that a large portion of wrx owners and even people who have cars and wanna modify them, are always asking me why I wanna run stock. I always tell them that I like how the car runs stock, and wanna keep it running like this. Regardless of WRX owners or even just normal car people, I get shunned and scolded because how dare I get a car that most people modify and not modify it.
I bought a 2018 50th Annv. Edition. The only mods I plan on doing to it, are reliability mods. Add an AOS, upgrade the shifter bushings and add a COBB Turbo Inlet. I'm also going to add a Bank's IDash. Not for tuning, but for monitoring the vehicles engine parameters. That's it. Do your regular scheduled maintenance, and the car will last. But I get people saying the same thing to me. "You bought a WRX but you're not going to tune it???" No offense people, but if I wanted a car pushing 275+ as my daily, I'd just buy one that came with it stock. You do you man. Enjoy it for what it is!
I'm glad someone (with reach) is finally mentioning the issues. The FA20 is extremely tricky for tuning, highly prone to ping/detonation, and highly finicky in general compared to a bunch of other vehicles in a similar class. The scope for making power is also very limited and requires a lot more investment than something like a Golf GTi or R, where you just throw on a tune and can make more power than a WRX with all the bolt-on's, and more reliably. I wouldn't say I regret buying my Subaru, but probably I wouldn't do it again.
@@SteveC-Aus but yes stock internals.. stock heads, and I blew my last motor with crank bearing failure being low on oil at 90k miles and my motor got replaced under warranty by Subaru 500 miles ago lol so brand mew whip just hoped in 😂😂
@@noahplante8592 funny you say that, my motor blew at 88k miles and they just covered it for me, the local dealership put a new motor freee 🤯 they said they would have to prove the afterMarket part itself was the cause of the motor going but since my internals were stock they covered it
I agree with your last statement. That's part of the reason why I went with a new WRX. Who actually knows what a previous owner has done to a car. Plus the fact that these have really high resale value if I ever decide to go down that path. I got a lot of goodies from a guy going back to stock that only had 10K miles on his car. He seemed legit but who knows how many rough launches he's done or proper maintenance. Also, I see nothing but love in the PNW but I don't spent too much time paying attention to FB or online forums.
Yeah I spent a crazy amount of time looking for an unmolested WRX. Yeah in person community is always awesome, it's the online community that can be really negative lol
Thank you for your honesty and good video. I copped a 2017 WRX Premium model M/T recently and it's a beautiful vehicle. I think the problem with the WRX models as a whole is people think they just purchased a racecar...it's a sporty sedan w/AWD. You can make it into a raceway but if you wanna play, you gotta pay!!
He’s right on number 1, my STI is a pain driving normal, it’s always trying to go and go fast, so just trying to drive normal is difficult cause it’s constantly trying to take off fast
I daily a 450whp 06 Legacy GT. Facebook is definitely brutal. Ive met some really good people through the groups too. And these cars do get poirly modded and abused then called unreliable. Thats actually why I went for a Legacy over a wrx. They seem to be less abused and better maintained than the wrxs in the same price point. Good video man!
Hoho...never buy WRX/STi that have shinny part under the hood...Those are someone else's burnup toy that just shown early signs of engine/trans failure. Legacy before 14 are cool, the later ones are grocery getters that blend in....
I just got a 2020 premium sports package 📦 with brembo and recaro seats. Love driving it stock, preserving it like that will make anyone feel really special over the years. Only mods would be cosmetics 💄
I think a used FA20 WRX is the best bang for buck as long as it's a couple of years old, 1 owner, and still has some of the warranty left. I have a 2016 wrx limited that i bought in 2018. It was 1 owner, 14k miles and had 1 year left of the warranty. A new wrx for the same trim would have been a lot more money and out of my price range at the time. I absolutely love the new facelift bumper but not enough to fork out the extra cash which i used for car parts instead lol. And i still had some of the warranty left in case something bad happened with the car. MAINTENANCE is the biggest thing with these cars. As long as you keep up with maintenance, don't push the car until it's at proper temp and use a proper tune when installing performance mods these cars can be very reliable. I absolutely love my WRX, i smile every time I drive it. One of the best entry level cars for an enthusiast! Really liking the content btw, keep it up 👍
@@someguy920 Well ya, obviously look into the history of the car before buying it. Don't go in blind. And really inspect everything on it to see if it was modified and just reverted to stock before it was sold or traded in. I was just saying that, in my opinion, it's better to buy used with some of the warranty left rather than used with no warranty left. With the latter you are completely SOL if something goes bad. And if you don't want to or can't buy new, you can get a good deal on a used car. If you are really worried, a lot of dealers even have an extended warranty you can get for extra piece of mind. Just read through the warranty so you know what is and isn't covered. Yes, you don't know exactly what you are getting into if you buy used, there is risk, but there's ways to minimize that risk if you can't buy a new car. Just my 2¢
Currently riding my warranty as long as possible. Got my 2020 brand new with 30 miles on it. Sitting at 20,500 miles. Trying so hard to wait until 36K. Only have an axel back as of now 👍🏼
Bro got 21 10k on trying to pay it off before and tune the engine before I start driving it. Half way there as of this month hoping to pay it off right after jan
... so far the community where I live is amazing and the reason I got my wrx. And everyone I met so far in Houston are always positive and give a wave when we see another sti and wrx. Idk 🤷♂️ were the hate your talking about. Our community here in Texas is amazing.
I have a 19 WRX I brought brand new and love it. Then I test drove a 21 STI and what a difference. 2 completely different rides. I Will definitely be trading my WRX in for the STI.
I just got my first WRX sti. I love it, but I'm catching a hard time from some people because they say I'm too OLD to own her! I'm 57, but I've always loved fast cars, bikes, and muscle cars!
Excellent video! Great points! Bought my 2020 WRX Limited during COVID and still haven’t hit 6K miles yet but absolutely love it every time I get behind the wheel. I am surprised to hear about the community. But then again… maybe not. It still amazes me how people act when safely anonymous. See it in too many other communities as well. In person we are all pretty friendly. Behind a keyboard, no so much. Macho BS until they looking me in the eye. Keep up the good work.
I've had a 17 for a year now. Two things I wish I had done first and foremost are a radio replacement and soundproofing. Besides an accessport, these two things will transform your comfort level.
2018 Premium CWP, 62000, on it's second 6spd transmission thanks to the throw-out baring going out. MAperformance stage 1 tune, Grimmspeed charge pipe, and Nameless axleback. Still puts a smile on my face since I bought it brand new.
Be diligent when you buy used. I have kept it stock in terms of performance mods and blew the engine on the 11th months of ownership on a causal uphill acceleration. If you have warranty and don't have play money, keep it stock until the warranty is out the window.
@@RealRigorous The engine bottom end was fully swapped with a brand new block. The receipt said N/C so don't know the real price but assuming it would have been close to 6k out the door. Not something you want to pay within 1 year of ownership. I had a EJ engine back in 2008 did a lot of stuff to it but never had any problems for at least 24k miles. I would stay away from Flashing the ECU if you don't have 6k on the side. Just my 2 cents.
The community aspect is what hit me first when I got my 22. A big portion of those in the wrx community just suck. I was really really surprised by that, thought it was way more inclusive than it really is
I bought a 2018 WRX recently with 55k and the only thing that bothers me is not really knowing if some punk beat the piss out of it for some time before I purchased. I already installed Cobb Ap and Big SF intake. Catback exhaust is next. J-pipe will be farther down the road. Not ready for that yet as I will need a pro tune. She's my Queen, I treat her well. lol

just bought a new wrx instead of a used one, the used one I almost got I realized after was missing it's catalytic converter since the owner sold it online. very excited for the car and mods to come!
Things to know before buying any vehicle basically :) Subaru community is awesome in Canada and there are trolls everywhere, even Facebook Netflix groups that talk about TV shows. I'd probably never buy a used WRX/STI unless it was from a friend. Everyone should know that most mods will void the warranty. Thanks for the info on the type of mods that people talk about. I'm getting my WRX in the next month and will definitely do a lot of mod research first and I want a reliable vehicle. Excellent points dude.
Good video im sure it will help people that might be looking to be first time buyers. Due to many problems with high horsepower builds i am actually building my ej based motor before i even find my roller. IAG is awesome just got my stage 3 case halves, closed deck 1/2 head bolts, and complete sealing kit. Rated for over 700 horsepower. Also found a rotated turbo exhaust. This way big turbo will be smooth fit when the time comes.
Good topic I wish more people would cover. The lure of tuning is strong but reality and state laws can turn the tuning journey into a living nightmare.

I drive an auto..tbh..as far as what other ppl think..I dont giv a fuck! ..worry about ur own ride. The reality is...Subaru's not getting rid of the cvt platform..they invested millions..if not billions into it. I've owned manual trans.. auto is what best fit me
Engine mods? Tmic, CP, CAI, AOS, CDP, 3 port ebcs..I'm not pushing past this limit...its what it can handle reliably. I wouldn't suggest ETune or OTs maps long term. Wise decision to add trans cooler..I'll prob be adding the JDm cert cooler, what's used in the S4 platform in japan. They make 296hp/295tq reliable. I have an aftermarket warranty
The FA motor isn’t worth building unless you can also swap with the STI transmission, axles hubs, drive shaft and rear diff. I have mild modifications such as an oil cooler, turbo inlet, Cobb intake, j pipe, mishimoto charge pipe and TMIC, and invidia R400 exhaust. Haven’t made the jump to E85 yet because of where I live
@@Hypnotoad206 it’s funny you mentioned the peak torque in the WRX. I owned a “stage 2”WRX and I remember test driving a stock 2020 STI and I was like,”I dont remember it being this smooth with boost kicking in”. Come to find out, the 2019+ STi have increased midrange torque due to the TypeRA tuning. I think Subaru tried to compensate for that lag from previous model years. Lol
@@SteveC-Aus the simple answer is if someone wants to go over 350 whp reliably. If they track their car regularly then go for it. The FA is way more efficient in terms of how it handles E85, but you also have to build the motor to run E60 and E85 reliably
Great video. Personally I believe the best option is to buy the car with the power you want already build in. So my personal sweet-spot is 200 Hp. Why? Well I think it's good enough to drive comfortably/legally and have fun when you want to. So currently I have a Ford Fiesta 1.0L Ecoboost 100 Hp car, which I ECU Tuned to 145 Hp, but that's all I did and in the future I hope to have the Fiesta ST so I don't need an ECU tune. Other than that, I only changed my exhaust, the air-filter (not cold air intake) and the suspensions (lowered about 25-30 mm), because the goal is to keep my car as a daily. About the community I completely understand. There is a lot of hate out there, but I personally just hang out with people that respects me and I respect them.
My regional facebook group for Subarus is almost only positive stuff, granted its not just WRX owners on there, but a good portion are WRX/FXT enthusiasts and they are typically pretty kind and easy going from what I have seen.
This is why I’m subbed to you man. Honest, true and straight forward content. After the intake, boost controller, TMIC, and jpipe I know I’ll have a lot to do to the car make it reliably push more power. With that setup I’m trying for about 315whp, think it’s obtainable safely or would I be more at 300?
@@AutoEnthusiast awesome man! Realistically, and I know you’ll give a true answer, do you feel that feeling in your stomach when you accelerate (the kinda zero gravity feeling thing, you know what I’m talking about) at 315 whp?
@@Davethehorse321 that's a bummer. Ethanol is the way to make power with a direct injected turbo car. Just a downpipe and E30 you can make a solid 340WHP, and safer from a detonation standpoint than any pump gas setup. If it's not nearby though that basically scraps that idea. Ethanol "ages" quickly so even if you got a few 5 gallon containers and just filled them like once a month and then just mixed them in when you got gas they may not be "full strength" and potentially could be dangerous from a tune standpoint. I know storing them in the sun is a bad idea. Keeping them sealed well so they don't absorb water is a big deal. I don't have that issue since I pass one on the way to work though.
I bought my 2020 back in August and love it, all the Hondas before were fun as hell, VTEC with just minor things added... total blast. Back in like 2005 when I was 19 or 20 years old mom and I test drove a Black 05. Loved it, mom hated it...mom had final say, life lead to the VTEC and 7.3L non-turbo obsession's. Then life upgraded, and found myself browsing new WRX's. Same fucking price as it was back in 05. I was like wut, howdispossibul.img. Um yeah, get in my driveway. Thought the car was broken because of the rev hang, service guy had a chuckle. Winter in the mountains of WV this past year made me question why i never put snow tires on the front of the Civics. Sticking out the 36k warranty and, with any luck, the EPA will lighten up and both sides meet somewhere in the middle. Stage 2 is all i want out of it with a map similar to that of stock.... because you know, Boxer Engine :D
I really can’t wait to tune my rex and put some aftermarket parts in her, I’m tired of everyone wanting to race me and being on stock tune is sooo overwhelming. :(
Thank you for an informative video. Yes you have pointed out stuffs people wouldn't talk about. Now I have a better idea of whether I want to tune in or not. Again, this is a really awesome content. Appreciate your honesty.
This video seems a bit off from the start. Maybe it’s just me but any subi group I’ve been in has said dead from the start this car is EXPENSIVE to make power with, it’s a fun car regardless, but if you’re trying to push big numbers you will be paying a hefty amount. No one ever said it would be cheap or even reasonable.
I heard the same “easy power with reliablity” when I bought my Cummins. 475 horsepower with a turbo, tune, trans, and injectors. Yeah those things were reliable, everything else in the truck was just not reliable. You have to know that every car is not going to make cheap reliable power. Especially ones everyone says do.
2 years later and the "hateful" people in the community has only grown. The car community in general needs more peoples to help each other instead of crucifying others for simply asking questions. I love my '21 wrx, and some of the friendships i have made thru the community though.
What you are describing is the law of diminishing returns. You will soon hit a point where extracting a small amount of performance out of your machine will cost you a ton.
I disagree, I think the FA is MUCH more reliable than we think. Who goes on a forum and randomly posts "my car is still working great", the posts you read are always the disaster stories.
keeping mine stock. i want reliability over everything.. I am not looking to have the fastest STI in town. I got a 700hp F150.. Got the STI to be my daily more effecient and not sketchy in bad weather ride.
It's funny he thought the WRX was ultra reliable when all my life I've always heard how unreliable it is. In my experience it's the opposite. People talk like they are the most unreliable car but from what I've seen they are just as reliable as anything else as long as you aren't stupid with your mods and tuning.
After spending few years different Subaru communities , the opposite of what you said was what I mostly read. These cars are full of limits so if you’re not comfortable with the driving experience stock, then you will be unhappy with it modified. People often mod to make their car better than the car next to them and that’s why so many we /sti owners turnaround and trade in. These cars are not what they have been played out to be in previous generations. When a slightly modified 04-07 put a hurt on a lot of cars in that era, the new ones provide a similar driving experience but without the added benefit non-enthusiasts and power chasers are looking for. These cars offer a superior driving experience than most cars on the market but they don’t provide the “wow” factor people use to . If it doesn’t change to compete, it needs to go hybrid or they need to start amping up their Overall performance
In nearly every community, you'll always have insecure babies overcompensating via their KEYBOARDS and it really is a damn shame. Thanks for putting this video together, I found it helpful. I'm right on the edge of pulling the trigger on a WRX (been thinking about it for a loonnggg time) and it's good to hear your perspective on it. I plan on keeping it relatively stock and within safe margins because I want it to be a reliable daily for me, which would seem like a wise route to take given some of the things I've heard.
So, here's my list of problems I've had to date in my 2016 wrx, Clutch, flywheel, clutch line to tranny, clutch pedal and brake pedal, 1 assembly, brakes, caliper maintenance, stick shift came off in 5th gear, after that tranny went a month later, tree fell on it a month after that, ruined the roof, A pillar skin? Dents from the walnut tree branch that fell on it, back window and trunk, that was an insurance claim $6800, car was gone for 2 months to fix, got it back a month ago and back bearings went. Total I spent this year fixing it, minus insurance cuz they paid that was roughly $11000, i have a great job but I'm scraping usually, this put me way under ugh... I still live the car but I bought it used 4 years ago, I beleive the previous owner leased it and did not care, just my luck
Great video love your enthusiasm and technical understanding. I will say tho for those who might read the comments before watching, you could probably skip to about 5 minutes in as that first 5 as far as getting to the point is brutal. Hahahaha I kid but great video. 👍
Every time I have taken my car in to get tuned they find the previous owner had that part installed and reverted back to stock “poorly” my clutch started going out so I bought whole new clutch setup (thinking the stock clutch went out at 70k) just to find dude already have ACT stage2 Heavy duty clutch and lightweight flywheel installed wrong so it ruined the clutch so 3rd clutch in 70k miles. Already had front mount and jpipe which was known because of all the random bolts and missing components my tuner found while doing my stuff. Pissed me off

Lucky, but not so lucky when the ECU needed to be changed at 68,000km. Had to pay 2500$ to replace !!! Knock sensors cost 1000$/sensor!!! Had to replace one injector that was defective for 400$ plus 130$/ hr maintenance. Had to replace compressor for the a/c at 86,000km for a total of 733,00$. By the way, just to plug in to your computer for check engine light, the dealership charged me 599,00$ plus tax. Here in Quebec, it is 15% in taxes !!! I liked my 2015 wrx but got rid of it 2 years ago. Put on 32 thousand miles but had a ton of small issues. Funniest thing is i really didnt realize how good it would be to get out of the wrx and into a crosstrek. I actually bought a second crosstrek for my wife. I love my crosstrek and the way it drives. Yes, i had to give up that power but in all honesty, i cant drive fast often anyway. I always have my young kids with me
The crosstrek is a great ride! Life happens and it changes what we want! When I was a teenager I promised myself I wouldn't ever have a 4-door car lol. No idea why, so impractical.
I got a stock 06 wrx,it has no turbo lag,it throws me back in the seat a little, fun to drive, the cj 255 is a delicate engine so don' t hurt him by putting a jay-pipe or modified intake on it,,you wont gain much,if you want real power your gonna have to redue the entire shortblock by a reputable builder, break out your skinny wallet.I have seen people get close to 450 hp out of them,500 is a stretch, they are just too delicate.
Deciding now found a 2015 WRX for $22K but also saw and drove a 2021 with exhaust and 7K miles for 35K (with employee discount 30K) 😩🤔 IDK what to do lol
So I'm looking at a 2019. Honestly i was thinking of just doing a cold air intake, cat back exhaust and a simple tune. Not looking for huge power but in your opinion would that mixed with coilovers and better/wider tires make for a fun daily with some weekend spirited driving?
also, how do people think running intakes and all sorts of aftermarket bolt-ons are okay to do without a proper tune lol, if you are gonna spend money on parts make sure you have some saved for the tunes as well.
Definitely a good video! Just like you said, the WRX community is a lot like the mustang community! There are the legitimate ones, and then there are the ones that use and abuse.
You went around buying the WRX the wrong way. It's not a sport car. It's a compact car that is fun to drive. The transmission is fine for stock HP but not for more. Of course, you will have problems once you modify the motor. They aren't designed to be extremely modified.
Some Guy - Pretty sure that Subaru has discontinued the sports package. As I’m sure their weeding out parts to make room for the revamp of the WRX. Those existing will most likely be used for warranty replacements. I was in a Subaru dealership today - the GM just came back from the SUBARU PLANT and filled in on a few of these topics
The DIT issues of carbon build up was something I wish I knew more about. I still have less than 1k miles and already have an AOS. Just hope to prolong the life of the engine. Thanks for your content
Is there such thing as a conservative tune? I’m really enjoying my 2022 WRX, and don’t feel like turning it into a 400hp monster, but I would like to add a bit of throttle response and maybe a few psi to make it snapper without sacrificing convenience. Ideally I’d still be able to run 89 octane.

I’m lucky, bought my 16 brand new. I’ve put 140,000 miles on it protuned since 80,000 and haven’t really had any issues
Woah! Tons of miles! Nice!
God dam! U drive alot!
Good for you Ryan. Piss on those people. When they give you a hard time, just tell them to buy their own and do what they want to theirs!

Thank you for your honesty and good video. I copped a 2017 WRX Premium model M/T recently and it's a beautiful vehicle.

Got it! If you get the far more practical CVT transmission, either don't bother going online or lie and say you've got the 6-speed manual.

I wouldn't dare wait till 6k like subaru says to change oil. 3k miles is change time.
Just my 2¢

I semi agree. Anything under 400whp and the FA wins in my eyes, anything over and its a toss up.
@@AutoEnthusiast has the same 0-60 as the STI with quicker peak torque. I tell people this but no one believes me lol
Lol
Why would any WRX owner do a STi transmission swap unless you regularly track their car. If it's under 350 whp the WRX transmission is solid.
My regional facebook group for Subarus is almost only positive stuff, granted its not just WRX owners on there, but a good portion are WRX/FXT enthusiasts and they are typically pretty kind and easy going from what I have seen.
yeah it's mainly the big WRX groups
This is why I’m subbed to you man. Honest, true and straight forward content. After the intake, boost controller, TMIC, and jpipe I know I’ll have a lot to do to the car make it reliably push more power. With that setup I’m trying for about 315whp, think it’s obtainable safely or would I be more at 300?
Thanks for the support! Really depends on the dyno and how whp is read. But yeah 300 or 315 is probably okay. That is what I am running!
@@AutoEnthusiast awesome man! Realistically, and I know you’ll give a true answer, do you feel that feeling in your stomach when you accelerate (the kinda zero gravity feeling thing, you know what I’m talking about) at 315 whp?

@@MeltingRubberZ28 I’ll look into that. But there isn’t any E85 within at least an hour’s drive of my house.

Spent 25k to get to around 600wheel reliably. Not cheap at all imo but I love it.
A STI does not have direct injection like wrx. The port injection requires 1050 injectors and 255 fuel pump in order to run E85. Plus a flex tune.
It's funny he thought the WRX was ultra reliable when all my life I've always heard how unreliable it is. In my experience it's the opposite. People talk like they are the most unreliable car but from what I've seen they are just as reliable as anything else as long as you aren't stupid with your mods and tuning.
I bought a 2018 Outback Premium brand new due to road trips, when it's paid off I want a used blue WRX for daily driver

If I'm getting rid of the Rex I'm going for a Tesla Y performance. The power and luxury to carry my kid around.
@@Ieatzboltz maybe one day for me. I like the teslas, just love combustion engines more!
What kind of issues? If you don’t mind me asking
Correct don't ever buy used sports car
I got a stock 06 wrx,it has no turbo lag,it throws me back in the seat a little, fun to drive, the cj 255 is a delicate engine so don' t hurt him by putting a jay-pipe or modified intake on it,,you wont gain much,if you want real power your gonna have to redue the entire shortblock by a reputable builder, break out your skinny wallet.I have seen people get close to 450 hp out of them,500 is a stretch, they are just too delicate.
Thank you for taking so long to get to the point.
You're welcome
Uhhhh my car is doing 400 hp and its a fantastic daily driver
I’m in MA!! And I’m close to pulling the trigger on a wrx! I’m new to the Subaru community and want to do everything correctly would love to connect!
Nice! Never be afraid to shoot me a message on FB or IG. Come buy my ride lol
Nope you really can't even do it.
Yes get a tune

I do agree that people can be toxic online.... but come on why would you buy an Impreza with a CVT??
Hi there, what's the camera & audio setup for the in-car footage please? Liking the angle!
Searching for my 1st wrx , what should I look out for? What should I stay I way from?
Northern California here, other fellow wrx owners in my area act too good to wave back only got the wave about 3of10 times
I get the wave almost every time! Sorry to hear it!
Sounds about right, if I see a wrx driver with their hat on sideways I wont bother

Definitely a good video! Just like you said, the WRX community is a lot like the mustang community! There are the legitimate ones, and then there are the ones that use and abuse.
Thanks for the support!
Why do people say these cars are unreliable?.
A great video brother. What are your thoughts on the new WRX/STI motors?
You went around buying the WRX the wrong way. It's not a sport car. It's a compact car that is fun to drive. The transmission is fine for stock HP but not for more. Of course, you will have problems once you modify the motor. They aren't designed to be extremely modified.
bro i think your car is what i used for reference on my wheels when i bought them, would it happen to be on fitment industries?
Also the brakes on stock wrx I’m disappointed with but that’s the only thing and it’s an easy fix with braided lines and better pads
Grab a factionfab setup when you need to make the change, you will be happy!
Egr delete helps keep the valves clean.

10/10, Perfect
made the mistake of buying a 2020 wrx its been 4 weeks now and still in the shop, damn dealerships are a scam house...
Whats wrong with it??
Is there such thing as a conservative tune? I’m really enjoying my 2022 WRX, and don’t feel like turning it into a 400hp monster, but I would like to add a bit of throttle response and maybe a few psi to make it snapper without sacrificing convenience. Ideally I’d still be able to run 89 octane.
100% Talk to a tuner!
Going to look at a 04 wrx sport wagon... Also could I get an accessport with a stock car B4 mods for a small tune or somthing ? Lol I know it's an old vid already
When the heck was this filmed the snows been gone in mass for like 5 weeks
like 4 weeks ago at least lol. I have been filming installs recently which take wayyy longer to film and edit so I had a few videos back logged.
