You guys are always so much fun to watch. November was a great month for new to me games. I got Valley of the Kings, Quest for El Dorado, Floriferous and Meadow to the table. All really excellent games.
Hope you have a great December and a Merry Christmas!🎄
Thank you! I’d say that’s a great month for you!! Merry Christmas 🎄!!
Orleans is a great game. I need to play it again soon. We love Age of Innovation.
In October we played Apiary four times and really enjoyed it. I wont' be surprised if there are some balance issues discovered with time (like a lot of Stonemaier games), but it's very fun.
We then played Scholars of the South Tigris, and ended up leaving it out and playing it 10 times in a row in November and December! It's a real brain burner, but it's quickly become one of our all-time favourites!
Woah hi praise for Scholars of the South Tigris! I am interested in Apiary as well :)
Your energy and enthusiasm is so contagious!
Thank you!
Love these videos and your guys personalities!
Thank you!!
Live chatting on BGA would be great!
I played Orleans for the first time today. It's very good! And adventures of Robin Hood was one of my favourites. I can't remember what I played in November. It's too far gone. Lol
🤣 haha fair enough!
Orleans is nifty, I just really love tracks in games :)
NOVEMBER STYLE!!?!? YAAAAAAAASSS!
DECEMBER STYLE now Bay Bay!!
Cribbage is a 10...what a wonderful card game (and I don't like too many of those!)
My eight year old has been wanting to play quite a bit lately as well. So this past weekend we played Go Fish and Skip-Bo. Haha
O, that’s awesome! I need more games to play that are actually at my kids level 😂
Always look forward to your month in review videos. Great stuff - thanks for making them 👍🏻. My highlight last month was getting Expeditions to the table. Hasn’t been getting as much love from the community (compared to Stonemaier’s other offerings) but I think it’s fun.
I have heard good things all things considered! I’m glad you like it :) A couple other party people enjoy it too. I think the box size might be misleading for the type of game it is? Is that true?
Good deal - yeah, you’re right it’s not been panned by the community. I guess I expected it on more top games of 2023 lists and it’s not. Oh well. But yeah - overall a lot of fun, both solo and with other humans.
Lots of new games in November, but the two that I've really been playing a lot are Knarr and Colorado. Playing them both physically and on BGA. Let me know if you want to hop on BGA and have me teach you either of these two excellent quick, simple games with lots of fun decisions. THANKS for all the great content.
Thank you Jason! Knarr has been catching my eye for sure! Feels like my kind of game. Will do!
👋 Hi friend! 😄 I was so excited when you said you bought Gloomhaven! Then I found out it was a lie.... Rollercoaster in 2 seconds 😝 I was also wondering, do you pick non-english game images on purpose? Looking forward to our Terra Mystica rematch! Couldn't help but think that Fr. Greg's mention of the solo Concordia expansion was a subtle Christmas gift suggestion Daniel!
🤣 I should be more observant! The non English board game images are just because some of the better BGG photographers are in non-English countries!
Sorry for disappointing you so quickly! Can’t wait to play again!
Best new game was Tawatinsuyu and best surprises were Wisdom of Solomon, a solid worker placement game; MOB, a fantastic two player push and pull game; and Municipium, a solid Knizia. Best card game of the month was Stick’em.
Woah! I haven’t heard of a bunch of these. Excited to look into them :) I have wanted to pick up Tawatinsuyu for a long time. Happy to hear you like it!
@@PunchboardParty I think you will like them, and I think the biblical theme of Wisdom of Solomon would be a hit even though the theme could have been anything.
@@djmurp2 I always appreciate a good biblical theme as long as the game is good!
Loved playing Age of Innovation and I feel like I may have been the issue with it taking longer the second time around😅
We both were!!
We have played a few games of Pirates of Maracaibo and are really enjoying that, my 8 year old daughter has been enjoying Skate Summer.
Pirates of Maracaibo came out of nowhere on me; it looks cool!!
@@PunchboardParty it's a fun game, you don't really know who's won until the end scoring as there is so much end of game scoring!
I hope you guys all have a happy festive period however you celebrate, thank you for all the videos 😁
@@Flip5ide I think we are having a big ol game day on the 27th! Looking forward to that :)
@@PunchboardParty nice, have you asked father Christmas for any games?
@@Flip5ide dune imperium uprising is under the tree 😉 I suspect I’ll go on a little spree Boxing Day 🥳 I got GWT New Zealand on my mind and Maracaibo bas game ( I am behind on my pfister!)
Parade is excellent. You should try Galileo Project. It's basically a next step Splendor/Century Spice Road.
O yeah! We like Ganymede! I’ve had my eye on Galileo project :)
@@PunchboardParty Galileo Project totally exceeded my expectations. It's in the Ganymede universe, but it's a much different game. Have you tried Messina 1347? That's another one that totally exceeded my expectations
Did Bitoku get played ever?
Yes!! We talk about it a little bit here: th-cam.com/video/rUOAqd-zBVA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=X14xA2NxX4iFAPBc
@@PunchboardParty oh, yeah. I meant to say did it see second play 😂
@@nuuqbgg haha no, I played it twice that month. But I would love to play it again!!
@@PunchboardParty I'm on 4 plays so far. Hated it on the first play. Now, it's one of my top 20 games. It's good.
@@nuuqbgg I can totally understand that reaction!
