Had a blast in december with all of the games I got to play. Board game day really helped get some extra ones in. Favourite game of the month was definitely my play of scotland yard. Something about that game just hits right. Have to agree with Fr. Greg about the Isle of Cats, not my forte and I love a good polyomino.
Favorite game of December was probably Dixit - got to play with my brother and sister-in-law for the first time since we live so far from each other. We also played Fun Facts which was a lot of fun. We have Zombie Kidz and my kiddos actually love it, but it was definitely tough at first with the envelopes. My son happened to pick the one that gets an upgrade very last (and it’s not envelope 4 either, it’s quite a bit later). We ended up switching around who we played fairly often so everyone could get a chance to do fun things and he ended up still just really liking the character and usually preferred playing it. But I think getting the chance to play other ones helped him get there (he can be a really poor sport). But I’d maybe even go through the envelopes yourself and rearrange them in an order that would be good for your family. It might help. It’s nice and simple and after getting over that hurdle, our kids loved it. (But I do think the company should have thought that through…) Also, really want to try Forest Shuffle! It looks so good!
Plays for December: We played several more games of Scholars of the South Tigris, several games of White Castle, and a couple plays of Fliptown. Favourite of the month was Scholars. White Castle is very interesting and one we'll be keeping for now. Fliptown is fun, but not sure if it's a long-term keeper. My wife liked it more than I did.
I had the EXACT same experience with Chronicles of Crime and Kids Chronicles. I didn't like Chronicles of Crime at all. It made me feel stupid. But my oldest and I absolutely loved Kids Chronicles. We just picked up the second one and can't wait to check it out.
I get more excited about your videos than any other channel. I sincerely hope it is encouraging to y'all.
Huge encouragement! Thank you!
Always happy when you drop these videos. Truly refreshing, entertaining and informative content. Nice oasis you’ve created here - thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you for saying such! We love the little community we have here :)

I’ll need to look into fliptown! White Castle has received high praise :)
You guys are a blast! Enjoyed watching this video. We played so many games of Darwin’s Journey lately. It’s a great game!
We need to get that back to the table!
This is a great channel. I am always excited to see new videos.
Thank you! I love your handle!
Thanks Gents. Looking forward to trying Darwin’s Journey. I’m so impressed that Dan bought such a heavy Euro.
Haha every now and then :)
My favorite board game videos! Really interested in trying forest shuffle.
Thank you! It is well worth a try :)
Love it! I love Hadara as well!
It’s so good!!

I am so glad I have a friend in this experience 😊 That makes me feel less stupid haha
Chronicles of Crime made my husband and I feel stupid, too. Thought we were the only ones 😂
@@nataliejohn4243 nope! Not alone!
Forest shuffle? More like ‘sore wrist muscle’. From going through so many ‘small text’ cards. Horrible horrible game. 10/10
You know you love it!
