Fr. Greg and Daniel discuss ALL the board games they played in the month of September. Let us know what you played down below! Music: www.ceatormix.com
Plays for September: 6 plays of Hadrian’s Wall - still working our way through the solo campaign. We might not bother with the last few as they sound too hard and luck dependant, but we’ve been loving the campaign up until now. 3 plays of On Mars - we introduced my brother to it, so we got some 3 player games in. He loved it, and we’re continuing to love it. 4 plays of Hallertau - We like this game more and more every time we play. I love the variability and puzzle of the different cards. It adds some luck into the game, but it’s a worthwhile trade off in my opinion. 1 play of Earth with Mary and Dallas - always a great time playing Earth. Favourite of the month was Hallertau. Planet Unknown is great. I always love a good polyomino game.
Sounds like a fun month for games! I recently picked up a new copy of Princes of Florence that is only in Italian, so I need to translate the cards before playing. But, it is a really gorgeous edition that came with metal coins. I've owned Elysium for a little while, but unfortunately it's still on my S.O.S. Is that two player variant included in the game rules, or is it something you found on BGG? I'm typically playing most games at 2, so this may help get this one played sooner. Thanks again for the great content!!
Princes of Florence in Italian would still be worth it! I would so recommend trying Elysium at 2. Here is the variant: geauxgaming.wordpress.com/2015/06/15/elysium-for-two-a-variant/
