This is a quick and comprehensive rules overview. What I try to do is cover all the rules, including the latest errata at the time of recording and BGG FAQs in as short an amount of time as possible. Of course, while still trying to remain clear.
These videos are not rulebook replacements. They have 3 goals:
1 - As a refresher, if you haven’t played the game for a while and need a reminder of the rules
2 - For a brief overview of the game if you’re going to play it for the first time
3 - As an alternative to a review-style video to see if the game is for you

Already played Terra Mystica? You just need these sections!
Setup starts at 00:55 and ends at 5:00, useful for the boards, faction and layout rules. It also includes rules for the Science Display in this section at 04:23, it's pretty much the same as the cult track.
Terraform & Build starts at 6:00, it's pretty similar
Upgrading a building starts at 8:08, this has details of how new buildings work, especially the Palace which replaces the Stronghold.
Neutral buildings starts at 08:50, this is a new one.
Develop an Innovation is also new and starts at 9:32.
Power actions are the same, but book actions are at 10:13 which is slightly different to the power actions

Great to have a speedy video to watch as a group before a game that you may have all not played for a few months. Full how to plays can be up to an hour long and not necessary for a refresher. Appreciated. Only advice on TH-cam comment survival, just reply to positive or constructive comments, if you feel the comment would pull a slightly less than perfectly polite response from you, just pass it over. You can’t reply to everyone after all! 😂

@@JestaThaRogue I think it's more slow down the presentation a smidgeon. I had to rewind ten seconds a handful of times to parse what was being presented. But thanks for the video, overall it was great!

Awesome video - as always! I really appreciate your straight-to-the-point approach in your videos.
To all those a bit complaining that it is too fast... just put it on 0.75x speed and/or use pauses. Works quite well.
I personally love the fast pacing which isn't common on other channels and I do get how it's played afterwards. JestaThaRogues' voice is cleary understandable imo.

Going to play in a group of 5 and the host couple have only played it twice themselves. This helps lay the groundwork, we'll definitely have to play it more than once for the intricacies.

Well, this is Terra Mystica with a bit more, Terra Nova is Terra Mystica with a bit less so it depends where you want to be in that range. Gaia Project has that tech track which I wish they’d bring into Terra Mystica.

Why the heck is everything so zoomed, no overview
So you can see it and it’s at the beginning.
Originally i thought the video was ok, for 13mins it got all the rules out, but as others have said, i didn't learn much because you spoke so fast, but again, what do you expect from a 13min video about what seems to be a pretty complicated game.
My issue i now have with you as a youtuber, is that you come across in the comments section as a bit of an arse, which is unfortunate. You really need to learn how to take feedback on board.
I take comments on board in the same way they are given to me. If you look at the polite and constructive feedback I take that on board and reply in the same way. Those that say ‘do this video differently’ or ‘talk slower’ I do not as there is nothing to go on. Also, they should read the description and take the video for what it is, not what they hoped/wanted.
It took seconds for you to leave a comment, calling me an arse will live with me for months. We have to deal with this daily and for most of us it’s a hobby.
People thank me for the help and that’s great and keep me going. I don’t feel I need to be polite to people that can’t manage it themselves.
And you never know what’s going on in our lives outside of these videos.
It would be great if you could speak slower, enunciate clearer, and have more pauses in your speech. Also, you should give more context to each part of the rules, give examples etc. You don't need filler, you need to breathe :)

@@JestaThaRogueWe were 4 people watching this trying to learn the game, and we learned next to nothing. Only reason we could play it was because 2 of us had played terra mystica beforehand.
If you're happy with that, and not taking any feedback, then that's on you.
@andreaspetrov5951 I’m taking feedback but ‘do the video differently’ isn’t feedback. I want a fast video because it’s what I want to see. Slow ones are boring and I lose focus watching them. Plenty of people agree.
If you can’t just watch a different video and not try to antagonise the creators that spend their own time and money making content then that’s on you.
(Also, if you know how to play Terra Mystica you don’t need a video for this)
