Wood craft is awesome. One of his top designs for suchy. The more you play the more efficient you get and you fill more of that workshop. I’m glad someone likes akrotiri! Targi and Asante are the two best 2 player only games in that small box genre Targi is just a bigger 2 player game hidden in a small box… and it’s delicious
I really adore Nova Luna. I play on BGG all the time and at 2 player it is SO fun. You are trying to place as well as you can without grabbing those high time tiles...but sometimes, those high time tiles will really help you out. Daniel, I feel the same about Targi as you do. I like it...I have the upgraded bits and everything...and I appreciate the design. However, I never really go to grab the game at any time as like you said: there are other 2 player games I'd rather play.
@@PunchboardParty agreed...and also with your plight on Raja of the Ganges: there is sometimes that the game just locks up and you cannot do anything productive. The first time that happened; I took it out of my top 20 because it was just so evident. It's still an AWESOME game that I love but I only mention that because if your wife is constantly winning like you said: you MIGHT be in a game where you cannot really do anything (and that is DEFINITELY not to say "oh, your wife is winning, then there must be a reason"...please do not take that as a slight against your very intelligent wife!) :)
Also loved my plays of Tiletum. Very clever game and the theme works for me. The only downside was the setup and tear down time. So many small pieces to sort out in a lot of plastic bags! Because of this, I tend to go for Hansa Teutonica, which has a similar theme and beige artwork 😅
Woodcraft is the first Suchy I didn't like. Well, I don't love Praga either, but would play again. 3 Plays of Woodcraft were more than enough. Shipyard is still his best game in my opinion, with Pulsar being second.
O interesting! I wouldn't buy Woodcraft myself, but I am happy to play it more :) I just bought Praga, so I hope I like it! Underwater Cities is my favorite so far, though
Tiletum is great. Easy to teach but really good decisions when you play and I actually like the bland theme in kind of an ironic way. It's my only "Boring Beige Euro".
I enjoy Wayfarers, but I like Scholars a lot more. I prefer Wayfarers solo over 2 player. We found in 2 player the card market was too stagnant We're huge Suchy fans, but Woodcraft fell very flat for us. I think part of it may have been a player count issue. The action wheel doesn't scale to player count, so at two players there's very little change of the action wheel from turn to turn, and the interesting bonuses don't show up until the game is nearly over. I feel like it could be a lot better at 2 if they added some changes to the action wheel for this player count. Unfortunately we've been too busy for a lot of gaming lately. I haven't been playing BGA at all. For physical plays, we played Voidfall three times in January, and we've been really enjoying it. We're looking forward to more plays, and will probably try out the co-op mode eventually.

Akrotiri!!! Yes, now I want to play that again. Hidden Gem for sure!

Yeah man, Targi is such an almost great game for me!

It is a GREAT boring beige Euro :)
Colon Uprising sounds like a rough day!
😆That would be a ruff day!
Never heard of Red Asphalt on PS1. Interesting. Watched some gameplay and looks like a mashup of Twisted Metal and F-Zero.
I looked it up again after making the video. Turns out people didn't like it very much... I loved it!
Official petition to change our name from “party people” to “beefy mamas”.
All I can say is... YES. 🤣

O yeah, the action wheel bonuses would make a big difference! Voidfall looks VERY interesting!
