Emma has a L4/5 Disc Protrusion on the right side with some stenosis and sciatica symptoms. In Part one we show you the Physio treatment we are doing to help improve her extension movement and nerve tension so we can improve her range, reduce the pain and allow her to do the strengthening exercises to get her back pain free and running.
Check out Part 2 for the home exercises she is doing.

I’ve done this kind of treatment on myself by laying supine over a lacrosse ball against the right side of the painful L4-L5 segment and it creates PA pressure. After a few minutes, pain is GONE. Pain will naturally come back later in the day as disc pressure changes. Keep treating with lacrosse ball throughout the day, just as you would with repeated motion exercise prescription. Pain was gone permanently within about 4-5 days. Additionally treated with core stab. and neural mobility of course. Back to squatting, flexing, sitting without problems.

From how many weeks after the injury would you commence the neural stretching?
