Emma has a L4/5 Disc Protrusion on the right side with some stenosis and sciatica symptoms. In Part Two we show you the mobility exercises that she needs to work on at home to complement the treatment mobilisation and improve her extension movement and nerve tension so we can improve her range, reduce the pain and allow her to do the strengthening exercises to get her back pain free and running.
Check out Part 1 If you missed the Physio Treatment part!

Great video! Very to the point and well explained. Will definitely put this type of nerve tensioning to use on some of my patients. PT from the USA so cheers from overseas!

I have the same issue, in all honesty I think it might just be an over reaction of pain by our bodies/ joints needing full range of motion exposure and strengthening. Most therapist were getting me to avoid doing many things with my lower back and never expositing it to all these ranging of motion it was designed to do. Years later now I stopped seeing bad therapists after spending thousands and I am doing my own therapy by watching countless videos and paying for countless courses (still cheaper than therapists). One thing I have noticed is that you have to move the spine in every single direction in a very calm and controlled matter especially if it brings on pain, and load as many different positions of the spine below any threshold of pain. I think the nerves/soft tissue just need to be loaded and moved in many directions and it isn't so much the disc protruding and hitting the nerve that is causing all these chronic symptoms after many years after an acute injury.

Great explanations and exercises. I think this is what I need. Have a bulge disc L5 S1 and been to 2 chiropractors here in the US and sciatica pain and muscle tightness never went away. Assisted stretching and manual manipulation is what I need I think. Do you know if there is any clinic here around Chicago that do what you do? Thorough and effective assisted stretching and rehab /strengthening? Thank you!

Hello. I have done PLDD on my s1 disc. I felt it's getting better in 3 weeks but today i felt a horrible pain in my whole left leg. It felt enormously more painful than ever! I felt extreme pain like burning. I'm afraid that the pldd wasn't effective enough for me. However it takes 6 weeks to fully treatment happens. What should I do now? Can I do these treatment you mentioned here?

You perhaps need to start from a full rehab. I suggest following this program from the start: physiorehab.com/rehab-programs-lumbar-spine-disc-injury-rehab
