@@tjmakings My 2024 Super Duty has the landscape orientation on the 12" screen and it is great. Lots of physical buttons below the screen for all the commonly accessed features and more than enough screen real estate for navigation and camera.
Changing to a portrait view and going to on screen buttons would be a terrible decision.

They can't but I can! I have CAD/CAM/FEA'ed my own 3000 HP, 4000 Ft/lbs all-Titanium Alloy V12 and can fab it on our 5-axis CNC's in about 6 hours! I can also shape and weld a fully custom super-aerodynamic compound-curve-based 7075-T6 aluminum crew cab body body and 10-foot bed on an aluminum tube frame that can take 150,000 lbs worth of towing and over 30,000 lbs in the 10-foot bed all in just three days.
For the wheels, I can CNC a set of four-wheel fully independent high-hub wheels plus driveshafts that give me 16 inches of ground clearance once I put some custom fabbed carbon-composite TWEEL airless tire technology that can EASILY take the 190,000 lbs worth of combined cargo trailer towing, in-bed cargo and gross vehicle-only weight plus four five passengers and all the power from that 4000 ft/lbs of torque V12 engine!
I will run a fully-realtime hardened hard-interrupt Linux OS in a Dual AMD EPYC 128-core CPU box that is RAD/EMP/RFI/EMI-hardened to a full TEMPEST standards in its custom-built one inch thick Tungsten shielded ECU module and fully-shielded 240 Volt wiring and fibre-optic 400 gigabit network that will control all aspects of the truck operation and control ALL the custom-designed in-cabin user interfaces made and coded by one of the best user interface graphics designers in the business that has every major cabin comfort system, infotainment and 4x4 off-road GOAT-mode software required all built-in.
I will also be putting in a combo-fridge/freezer, an espresso machine, a combo microwave/convection oven, custom SDR radio system with Starlink Internet, Iridium satellite phone, AM/FM/Shortwave/BlueTooth/ZigBee transceivers and long-range Wi-Fi/VHF/UHF comms plus onboard 50 Kilowatt generator with multiple 240 Volt / 50 Amp and 120 Volt at 20 amp plugs plus many USB-4, RS-232, RS-422, 1394 a/b, RJ-45, ATM/SONET Fibre-connect and SCADA connectors in the cabin and via in-bed and on the front exterior flip-out panels for charging, network comms and custom machine control along with an onboard 400 amp TIG welder with built-in shielded low-loss 250 foot cable reel and a built-in 2 microns and less fresh water filtration system with 500 foot reel intake hose! Add in the 60 Gallon diesel fuel tank and we are ALL-SET for long range driving AND in-field 50 KW power generation!
There is on-board Windows Server and Workstation computers, built-in Xbox/Playstation consoles, heated/cooled vented RECARO seats with 4-point belts for all five people in the cabin, heads-up display and DCI-8k resolution screens for passengers and driver with real-time vector and satellite photo Navigation maps plus Windows Touchscreen tablets AND multiple 360 degree surround-view DCI-8K resolution 64-bit RGBA colour cameras plus tri-band infrared nightvision that are on all the time at 120 fps video capture rates!
One thing I know HOW to do is CAD/CAM/FEA absolutely everything and then custom build it ALL by myself so I can ENSURE it is all super high-end quality!
Now THAT is a proper truck!

If I'm driving, I don't need a computer, TV, AI BS, a sunroof too clean the birdshit off of, vibrating seats, cameras etc etc. They are all mostly systems that provide distractions and can reduce overall safety. It's not an aircraft and your sharing the road in very close proximity with other vehicles. Professional drivers are another story. They are professional and take note of priorities. The vast majority of these vehicles are sold to the general population and they like to play with and show off their happy tech toys...too themselves and others. They will all be de-tuned at the first recall for any reason like all the 6.0 6.4 trucks ! It keeps the motors from blowing up ! Hopefully ford will also remedy the nightmare upper oil pan issues !

And I’ve replaced at least 14 transmissions 10 speeds I think they should bring back the 6 speed didn’t replace them all the time do you think they will have that problem fixed on the 2025 model???

the side steps on the bed are hideous. so glad i have a 2022 without them. they totally destroy the lines of the truck and looks like a stupid GMC/Chevy. the chrome is because of Boomers and their terrible tastes...
i am firmly against everything going on with modern vehicles; i do NOT want a TV screen on the dash. I want buttons and knobs. I fly aircraft for a living and am not impressed by something as mundane as anything that goes on a vehicle. these screens needless complicate and increase the cost of the vehicle. leather and lack of chrome were about the only good news i heard. ill keep my 2022 forever (hopefully)

My God people, Ford continues to improve their product and all you Karen's want to do is cry. If you can’t afford it, then don't buy it. There are millions of used trucks out there for you, or, you could go to Ram and GM and pay just as much, or more, for trucks that are less capable.
    Crybabies.

Yep i bet the pricing will guarantee the things will rot on the lots, and priced well beyond middle class working stiffs means.
Have they made the cabs full tilt cabs for minor engine repairs or maybe buckle down cabs for ease of removal on the many times the poor cabs will need to come off.
All that power will probably equal many failures

Ram's going to the high output Cummins dropping the standard output so Ford is doing the same with the Super Duty. That's great IF - and a BIG IF - you plan on towing 40,000LBs. And then there is the little guy with the 10,000 lb towing needs. You know the person who is stressing out the limits of a half ton max tow and needs (or wants for towing comfort) to move up to a 3/4 ton. Gone are the standard output options (other than GM) that would actually serve them better and historically gets better, but still lousy, fuel economy than the same truck with the HO option.

I can give a dozen reasons not to ever buy a ford! Ready for a couple, the number one selling truck is also the number one in recalls, it also leads in the highest cost in yearly repair and this does not include yearly maintenance, the last one i will mention for now is it has an aluminum bed. The ONLY reason Ford is the number one selling truck is they underbid government contracts and large corporations who need a fleet of trucks.
