A legend!! Opened for BB king at age 12....continues his career "Independant" with an awesome band all legends.......Reese Wynans -organist from SRV, Michael Rhodes Bass from Many from Johnny cash to Knopfler Dolly pardon etc ---back singers are beyond talented ......
Joe is also a massive guitar collector; rare, classic, and historic. This guitar belonged to Albert King whose name is on the fret board. Albert was the original singer of this song.
One of my favorite artist covers of this song was by Daniel Castro. Such a rich sound. I spent a long time learning the riffs. Fell out of practice. This makes me want to pick up the guitar again.
Joe has two flying v guitars. You're right about one of them being Albert King's do you know who the other flying vegan guitar might as belong to? It looks even older than Albert's. But I haven't been able to find any information on it. You can see him playing both the flying these at this concert you can tell the difference because one has a pointed head and the other has the almost flathead. The flat one I think is Albert's.
The keyboard player played for Stevie Ray Vaughn, listen to Joe and Beth Hart the little lady singing with the backup crew is the daughter of an amazing singer Jimmy Barnes, listen to she and Joe do Ridi g With The King, amazing
Slo Gin, Mountain Time, Just Got Paid and many more. This dude is a legend and a moster blues guitar player. He opened for BB King when he was 12 years old.
Hahaha... you'd pay to see him/them. I've seen JoBo and band seven-plus times and counting, once 2 nights in a row (the best!)... can't wait to be in attendance again. Sooooo good 🎤 🎶 ❤.
Nice reaction. 👍 You must check out his performances with Beth-blues queen-Hart!!! Do the performance of "I love you more than you'll ever know" live from Amsterdam. Both of them are phenomenal!! Also from Beth Hart, react to 'Caught out in the rain" live from Royal Albert hall 2018. You will thank us all for suggesting Beth, trust me.I hope you do it really soon.
The short haired and backup singer behind Joe is Mahalia Barnes (daughter of the legend Jimmy Barnes). The keyboardist is the great Resse Wynans (was the keyboardist for Stevie Ray Vaughan).
The gentleman playing the Hammond B3 looked familiar - checked into it, he was Stevie Ray's keyboardist, that's where I've seen him before - - Reese Wyans
Joe Bonamassa has all of his live concerts available to watch for free on his TH-cam channel. I've seen him in concert twice, and he goes balls to the walls for 2 hrs straight. He does not introduce each song or waste time -- just BAM! Gonna see him again in less than 2 months.
Joe Bonamassa is a very deep rabbit hole well worth exploring. He is a true prodigy on the guitar, he started playing professionally in clubs with his father at age nine and opened for BB King during his summer vacation from school at age 12. He now owns his own record label and has the record for the most #1 albums on the Billboard Charts at 25 so far. He, like Beth Hart, shines even brighter in front of a live audience which makes his live albums/videos/DVD's even more special. He absolutely owns the Blues/Rock genre right now and has for many years but he can also rock. So much to recommend but his collaboration with Beth Hart live in Amsterdam doing a cover of the great Etta James's I'd Rather Go Blind is a good starting point.
Greetings from Canada. Another tune from an earlier show (Live at the Greek) with his stunning back- up singer Mahalia Barnes of Australia "Riding with the Kings" will blow your socks off. Enjoy. Peace, love and bellbottoms.
Trouble Town, Blue & Evil, U Upset Me, U Left Me With Nothing But The Blues, Breaking Up Somebody's Home, and Redemption are just a few. The hole is deep brother, lots and lots of records by this artist. He is a child prodigy, opened up BB King on tour at age 12...... and the rest is history. Thanks for reacting.
He was a child prodigy! Ok now you need to the Joe Bonamossa and Beth Hart “Id Rather Go Blind “ live in Amsterdam. Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamossa “ Stone Cold” these will blow your booty away, I promise!
Anything! He is 🔥! Joe and Beth are awesome together. You know what, just pull up anything. Sloe Gin is one of my favorites. Stop! Is another awesome one. Welcome to the rabbit hole. ✌🏻❤️from Texas
Joe is a blues legend he was a child prodigy he played with Albert King at about age 10. He also has a multi million dollar collection of guitars. Some played by many other legends. Some of the guitars he owns are worth up to a quarter of a million.
Watching JB is like watching a master class in blues guitar! I've been fortunate enough to see him live 3 times and he never disappoints. Not only is he a beast of a player/singer, but he absolutely surrounds himself with the best of the best. Reese Wynans on keys is a perfect compliment and the former keyboardist for SRV. Check out his live performance of Sloe Gin @ Red Rocks for a nice slow jam that will also melt your face! Also, Just Got Paid, Evil Mama, Love Ain't a Love Song, All the Beth Hart & Joe collabs, and my personal favorite is his version of Freddie King's "Going Down" from the Blues Cruise featuring Samantha Fish, Walter Trout, Kenny Wayne Shepard and Jimmy Hall. Thanks for the awesome reactions! You're the only reactor my wife will actually watch!! Keep up the great work!
Check out, Blues Deluxe, Evil, Double Trouble, then a duet with Joe on a flat top with Tins Gau on a cello, live acoustic in Sydney, “ Woke up Dreaming”, plus Joe has over single cds, plus with other people and a band, 30yrs pro under 50 yrs old.
He has 28#1 albums. Anything from RedRocks 2014 or anything from Live Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music hall or the Royal Albert Hall. Boy "ill yake care of you" with Beth Hart from Beacon Theater. This was filmed at the greek theater.
Joe Bonamassa is fire 🔥 so talented!!🎸🎸🎸 He has more than 400 guitars and 400 amps in his collection, not all for playing,I don’t believe, but he started playing very young!! Please do more!! Great reaction AB!!❤❤
Joe definately has a world class band. Have seen him twice in small venue concerts. Always mind blown. As mentioned below...check out Beth Hart/Joe B "Live in Amsterdam and Jimmy Barnes/Joe B "Stone Cold". Don't miss him if he comes to your area in concert.
the concert at Royal Albert Hall, Black Rock and more, OMG Joe Bonamassa is amazing I have approx 6 of his CDs even watched the documentary on him, WOW 😅
😂😂Mr Joe was touring with BB King at 12. During summer when not in school.. omg you gotta check out his house for his guitars! Plays with all the masters. Lazy with Jimmy Barnes, Ill take care of you with Beth Hart! All his own man, produced all his own albums!
Tracks to check out (all live performances): - Stop (Royal Albert Hall) - Sloe Gin (Royal Albert Hall) - Midnight Blues (Beacon Theater) - I'll Take Care of You (with Beth Hart) - I'd Rather Go Blind (with Beth Hart) - Close to My Fire (with Beth Hart) - Nobody Loves Me But My Mother (Live at the Greek) - Oh Pretty Woman (Live at the Greek) Notable: "Am I the One" Beth Hart (Live at Paradiso) And it's pronounced "Bon-nah-mah-sah" ;) LOVED the reaction!
You need more? Stick to this concert, Live at the Greek Theatre, first before moving on. There’s a lot there to enjoy! Try “Going Down”, “Angel of Mercy”, and then for something a little bit different, “Hummingbird”.
Well there's over 50 albums. Reese Wynans on keys Hammond is part of it. Joe stretches blues so depends on what you like. It's a rabbit hole that is deep. He doesn't always have such a large band. It depends on the music he's doing at the time of touring. His concert left me shaking. It's an experience. This was the final show of the 3 Kings tour. Anything from RAH 2009. RAH 1012. Red Rocks 2014. Redemption. ....
Everybody has made great suggestions. If you want to dive into some of his earlier stuff when he was extremely gifted but was finding his sound, check out Joe Bonamassa - "Don't Burn Down That Bridge" from "A New Day Yesterday Live." Phenomenal.
Joe is fire! A few of his songs that you should listen to are Cadillac assembly line, mountain time at royal Albert hall,I’ll play the lues for you, live from rock papa stand what I’ve known for a very long time. Start with these and you will not be disappointed. Enjoy
To elaborate on the guitar further…Albert King was left handed, Joe is right handed. Joe is playing it restrung to right handed string layout but up-side-down from its original design. Thus, volume and tone knobs and pick-selector switch are all on top of this guitar…the name “Gibson” on the head stock is backwards and “Albert King” inlaid in the frets is up-side-down. What a sweet sounding guitar piece of magical music history!!!
Both first and second a in his last name ae short vowel sounds. He played with B.B. King when he was a kid, and B.B. King dubbed him, Smokin Joe Bonamassa. Dive into any of his music and you will not be disappointed.
I know, right? 😎🤘 You MUST check out Joe and Beth (Hart) live.....any of them will do but the Etta James remake of "I'd Rather Go Blind' is a good start.
His last name is pronounced Bonamossa. Fantastic talent, self taught , wears sunglasses cause as Joe said he's a white guy from upstate New York ans what does he know from the blues, so he wears shades to bridge the gap. My favorite song of holis is Last Kiss, Train is great too.just Google his greatest hits
When it comes to joe bonamassa, you haven't seen anything yet. Go on and go down the Joe rabbit hole, i promise you will not be disappointed
A legend!! Opened for BB king at age 12....continues his career "Independant" with an awesome band all legends.......Reese Wynans -organist from SRV, Michael Rhodes Bass from Many from Johnny cash to Knopfler Dolly pardon etc ---back singers are beyond talented ......
R.I.P. Michael Rhodes
Joe is also a massive guitar collector; rare, classic, and historic. This guitar belonged to Albert King whose name is on the fret board. Albert was the original singer of this song.
Joe actually has the largest collection of amps and guitars in the WORLD..❤
Il a aussi la strat de rory gallagher
One of my favorite artist covers of this song was by Daniel Castro. Such a rich sound. I spent a long time learning the riffs. Fell out of practice. This makes me want to pick up the guitar again.
That guitar now belongs to Steven Segal
Joe has two flying v guitars. You're right about one of them being Albert King's do you know who the other flying vegan guitar might as belong to? It looks even older than Albert's. But I haven't been able to find any information on it. Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa (Stone Cold) and (Lazy) are incredible. Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart also kill it. You will not be disappointed.
100% agree
I like it better than DP version
the backup singer on the right is Mahaylia Barnes, Jimmy Barnes' daughter. She does a great cover of "Riding with the King" with Joe Bonamassa
The keyboard player played for Stevie Ray Vaughn, listen to Joe and Beth Hart the little lady singing with the backup crew is the daughter of an amazing singer Jimmy Barnes, listen to she and Joe do Ridi g With The King, amazing
The GOAT #JoeBonamassa great reaction thumbs up and shared👍

Slo Gin, Mountain Time, Just Got Paid,,,all fantastic!!!!!
The short haired and backup singer behind Joe is Mahalia Barnes (daughter of the legend Jimmy Barnes). The keyboardist is the great Resse Wynans (was the keyboardist for Stevie Ray Vaughan).
My absolute favourite blues guitarist/vocalist. ''Just Cos You Can, Don't Mean You Should''.
Listen to Last Kiss, Train. Very talented musician, self taught

I have been onto Joe for almost 20 years and have seen him perform about 30 times. Seeing noobs jaws hitting the floor is not rare!
Man, you are funny, love the reaction. I love real blues and these people are pumping out some real blues. Blues relaxes the soul, happy listening.
Blues Deluxe by Joe Bonamassa is amazing
Albert King made this song famous, and Joe Bonamassa is playing Albert King's guitar in this video.
Joe is a blues legend he was a child prodigy he played with Albert King at about age 10. He also has a multi million dollar collection of guitars. Some played by many other legends. Some of the guitars he owns are worth up to a quarter of a million.
With Mahalia Barnes "riding with the Kings" ( B.B.--Albert _ Freddie )
Reese Wynant on keyboards. Used to play with the "other" GOAT, Stevie Ray Vaughn
Watching JB is like watching a master class in blues guitar! I've been fortunate enough to see him live 3 times and he never disappoints. Joe Bonamassa with Beth Hart. Pure Blues Gold.
Michael Rhodes was one of the best bass players to ever live in my opinion. His line of studio work for country music is one of the biggest I've seen.

So many to choose from, but Goin' Down would be a good one to hit next.
I actually met the man who wrote this song, the late Jerry Beach. I have the CD that he and his band signed.
To elaborate on the guitar further…Albert King was left handed, Joe is right handed. Joe is playing it restrung to right handed string layout but up-side-down from its original design.
