I have a 1998 Kawasaki bayou 300 4x4 and my carb was overflowing the bowl and leaking out and was not starting right and all and what not. I took the carb completely off, covered what was open on the bike and took the bottom bowl off and set it in one of them big cans of carb cleaner over night and when i woke up the next day i washed it out with water like the can says and threw it right back on and it runs perfectly fine now, just got to find my key now since right after i get it running fine i decide to lose it.
Great video. I have watched a few good ones but like how you describe what to watch for on each component. Very helpful. One question. Regarding the third jet you discuss (#38). You indicated you should be able to see through it. Can you confirm that is correct or that I'm hearing you correct? With mine it has holes sideways along it, but no matter what I do, I can't get a clear line of sight through it length wise like the other 2. I have pushed pins and wire in it to a point of bending them. Thanks !
Hello I have a 99 bayou 300 4×2 I had it parked for a couple of months. And then i started it and it would only run in choke. If I would take choke off it would make popping noises when I would accelerate and then it would die. So I ran it till MT and put new gas and now doesn't start at all. What can it be. Thanks
Hey the spring was broke in with the diaphragm what was that causing to happen to the four-wheeler what was the actual issue how did you know something was not right? Symptoms?
Broken springs just happen unfortunately. Not a common issue, but definitely something that needs to be fixed. More than likely, it just would not idle down quickly. Thanks for watching. Let me know if you've got any other questions.

If the idle jet is clogged would it be hard to start? There’s something very stuck in my idle jet and I can’t get it out but I still can’t get it to start while giving it gas
I have cleaned mine 2 times it has power and will runs with plenty of power but has a pop pop at low speed. It idles well. It had bad gas so I empty the tank put good gas and seafoam in fuel. What could be wrong?
This is a stupid question but my first time working on a Kawasaki. But what is the hose by the choke for and does it hook to anything or is it just a vent ?
Got a 97, and can’t get it to run longer than a few min. Fouls the plug so much it quits and won’t start until the plug is cleaned. I have completely disassembled the carb and soaked it in ultrasonic tank. And that didn’t change anything. I did notice the main jet said 140. Don’t remember what the other two were. Could this be the issue why it’s running so rich? Everything else stock. Uni filter in stock box. Stock exhaust. Thanks
Mine had the same problem! Changed the plug from the factory recommended DR8EA to a DR7EA. Problem solved, hasn't missed a beat since! Good channel, thanks!! 13:36
I have a 1996 bayou 220 and I put a brand new carburetor on and put new gas in the tank after emptying the bad gas it now will run but only idle, I tried adjusting the valves but still no difference there is fuel going to it but still no difference what do you think is the issue?
Can I use the same carburetor on my Mojave 250 I am looking around for a replacement carburetor for my Mojave 250 and I would like to know if I could use the bayou one
Thanks your the best

Change the spark plug? NOT clean, but actually change it? Let me know, there are a couple other ideas that I have.
@@MidNebraskaMotorsports it was the plug thanks so much

Cheap china carburators have smaller jets in them use the OEM jets

What is the correct adjustment for the pilot jet
Can't adjust it .unless you mean jetting it then the pilot jet is a #55 jet .
You know that carb actually works for a king quad 300 am using that carb and it works great
Do you know if this carburetor works for the Mojave 250 also
I’ve got wires on my carb,,,what are they for
I think they are for heating up the carb
