Harvey's Hail Mary, gotta good ring to it. Another feat of magic and wizardry from the Grand Master. I hope to channel some of your mojo on my 3 state run tomorrow that hopefully will conclude with a Moose Country Plow in the back of my truck. Keep on rolling Harvey.
Don't give up sir it may polish up the cylinder after that start but a set of rings and valve grind probable get you up over 90 psi good luck don't throw towel in its worth lot more running good luck sir.
Stay tuned for another adventure of BLUES ON THE BAYOU ! Hahaha . Geee Rocky watch me pull a Rabbit out of my Butt ! Sorry I’m in a goofy mood tonight ! Lol
Amazing video, thanks a lot, I just purchased a bayou, and can’t get the staters to move, the lights don’t wok ether, your video is very helpful thanks 👏👏👏👏
I've got a second bayou 220 that acts very similar. It runs sometimes and when it warms up it will just get weak and quit. Compression is low as well. It is to nice of a machine to not fix so I've got to pull it down and fix it. I'm probably just going to ring it and sevice the valves.
I noticed the same timing chain situation on one of my KLF300bs. Almost looked like it was a tooth out, but it would be either too far forward or too far back no matter what I did. That one ended up having a worn out timing chain that was slapping the case. I put a used ebay one in which helped immensely but it was never perfectly aligned. It runs like a bat out of hell though aside from an off idle stumble when you stab the throttle. Your CDI box should take care of it, but I've noticed that on these atvs the CDIs tend to be very picky about voltage. If they don't have plenty of juice in the battery the CDI won't fire during cranking. I have one that has a new CDI unit but it still has to be pull started sometimes because it doesn't want to fire when the starter is pulling current.
where the timing mark should be toward the front of the bike or behind ? i have the same issue with my kvf300 was running fine then randomly stop now i dont have much pressure ....its hard to tell where the timing goes it look kind a off on mine aswell
nice. my honda was almost the same way but i think mine had a stuck ring or 2 ,oil did the trick for me too. i did put new rings in it they had a gap that i could put my finger between lol.
I have a 1988 Honda Trx200sx which you made some vids on. I took the case all apart and changed the gasket and oil, I changed the cdi, relay, and spark plug. It has spark, compression, timing is right, and it has suction coming through the intake. It will not start for nothing. I sprayed starting fluid into the intake on the carb, nothing. I even put some gas into the spark plug hole and nothing. The only thing I can think of is there’s no throttle or cable or anything just the cylinder that goes in the top of the carburetor and the needle that goes in it or the stator is bad. Let me know what I can do or any suggestions on what to check next. Thank you.
Wow, you did it man. Good stuff. As soon as it started a thought to myself.."i wonder if he remembered to check the oil.."😲. Curious to see if it comes somewhat completely back to life.. 🙋♂️🌄

Starter fluid is our friend.
Awesome. Congratulations

Awesome video, can't believe you got that thing to run, you definitely know what you are doing, stay safe and healthy

@@rickodoiron6929 I honestly don't remember. I just put it on which ever way had it closer to the mark.
I find carb cleaner a little
Better than starting fluid these days. More than a little squirt too.
Awesome video Harvey :) thanks for the tips, glad to see it fired up for you. Would make a good farm qaud so you dont have to out to much into it.
My God your some man well done you certainly know your stuff well done.

Great work! Learn lots from your vids
Harvey Spooner ( THE GOAT 🐐)
good one never give up
Running at least. But the term flogging dead horse may be true here
I have never seen you go so easy on the starting fluid. Give her a hoot Harvey! Just kidding man hope things are good for you.
Take care, DD

I believe your low compression might be due to the decompression valve
My Hammerhead caught on fire an I had to replace the starter an bunch of other things along with alot of new cables I got her running
Do you ever use carb cleaner as starting fluid I heard it’s the best to use .
I knew you could do it! Your late you better get going.
Good morning
Got question having a hard time getting spark could a grounding can cause of it too
Does this have automatic decompression if so all you will get is 60 lbs pressure. Good luck
I'am Your Newest Subscriber Great Videos. I Need To Compression Test My 2007 Honda Rancher ATV TRX400FGA
Do a engine rebuild
My is doing the same . We’re you located? So I can’t bring you my bayou 300
Question. Mine did the same as yours did but mine had a few good bangs ( backfire.) Why did it do that ?
Buy?
Do you know where I could buy a starter kit for my TRX 200 1984 I'm ripping my fingers apart trying to pull start it
Man, I would have blown the crap off the engine before I started to pull the covers off !
What box did you use to get a spark
Where did u add the oil at
Nothing is gonna run with 60 psi. Maybe will
Push start but that’s not gonna run for shit. 90 psi is minimum for any engine.
Don't you get tired of working on clapped out ATVs with very little value or profit potential?
