FINALLY, someone who knows their SH!T about these bayous, and ATVs in general... Ive looked for DAYS trying to find a video to fix my bayou, and all i found TILL NOW was people who didnt explain ANYTHING and couldnt figure out how to place a camera to show what was being done.. I just want to say THANK YOU, because i was able to troubleshoot a few problems on mine, and was able to fix them.. Mine's running Great again, and its been nice to be able to hit the trails again without worrying if it will make it back.... Thanks Again
I bought a shop manual for my 2008 Bayou at O’Reilly Auto Parts. It has been a big help especially when removing the racks and fenders and carb overhaul.
Bro I’ve had my bayou since last February watching your vids has inspired me to restore mine. I have electrical tape trying to hold my carb in place. Honestly dude would love to pick your brain about it.
Excellent video. I have a 1991 Bayou 220 that was given to us. It's gonna need a TON of work but your video was fantastic. I'm hoping you have another video on this same machine when you reassemble it. Thanx! 👍
It’s probably running a little lean. Try adjusting the fuel mixture screw out a quart turn at a time. Also put a fresh spark plug in it to rule that out.
Is that the one on the side of the carb or the engine side under the seal. ??? Also im going to adjust valves after watching your video, i used 10w30 oil backed out screw 1.5 turns, however the other screw is all the way in.
It's amazing, Kawasaki still sells many parts for these older ATVs, the strange thing is, some parts are insanely priced and some are not. Like the start/light/kill control switch, they want like $200 bucks, but you can buy a new OEM wiring harness for $45. Makes no sense.
Most excellent video on fixing that I've seen. Like others have said..FINALLY someone that has a great, clear and informative video. GREAT JOB !!

I got me a 91’ 220 also, it runs man been through a lot too
I have to have one of those shrink tube heaters....that is way better than a heat gun....
Yea they are a game changer. You can actually just heat shrink the wire you care about.
Good video, solid troubleshooting steps with the electrical. That carb might be the worst motorcycle/ATV one I have seen.
Put new carb in started right up, give throttle and it cuts off immediatelly sometimes although revs with throttle, idfk bayou finna make a mfr crazy

And it doesnt stay running long unless i throttle it, brand new carb
Great job, thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching.
